Trump is going to be extorting college players for bribes to let them keep their NIL money.

Nah, He just doesn't like when teenagers are paid to change "employers".

“That contract alone would make the Acquisition Logistics Company one of Richmond’s largest businesses, but it’s not a household name. It doesn’t even have an office: its listed headquarters is a residential house located in Henrico’s Tuckahoe neighborhood.”

Richmond is bougie now.

In time, the federal government's official stance will be that Trump was never impeached; it's just fake news.

They will soon rewrite history to talk about the South's victory. Just like Napoleon rewrote the narrative of Snowball's victory at the Battle of cowshed in Animal Farm

I’m not that worried about the $’s attached to the ballroom, with Trump’s tiny hands on this the contractors will never be paid; it’s basically free.

He's doing the only thing inconsequential lovers can do: attempt to buy immortality. Nothing will ever be truly named after him as a way to honor & remember his contributions. But he figures he can pay to have his name added to the White House.

Ok. This. This is full on trying to rewrite history.  To be fair, winners write the history books and we are letting this motherfucker win. Shit like this seems dumb and small to most people (who even hear about it), but this is the beginning. This ends with people dying.

It's funny, and wholly unsurprising, that he has absolutely no idea what a fucking joke he's going to be remembered as, even by the future generations of his people (the uneducated, bigots, phony evangelicals etc). This motherfucker is going to die before facing any accountability for his countless brazenly criminal and evil deeds, but history isn't going to be fooled or dodged. He'll be the biggest joke of all time.

Lulz. He's too political by doing his one fucking job instead of what the goddamn imperial President of the United States, who singlehandedly controls all 3 branches of government, and who gave him the job in the first place, wants.

I've daydreamed several times about Tarantino giving maga the Basterds/Django style treatment. What I'm imagining he'd produce would be both hilarious and cathartic.

To digress further, one of the best movie ideas I've ever heard was for Gremlins 3: set in DC, Billy gets hired as the portrait painter for Clamp, who's now president. Add mogwai and gremlins and voila, you have the ingredients for an excellent satire of maga and their destructive, impish insanity. It's probably one of the only ways you can satirize those clowns at this point, actually.

Bingo. Should there be another non-MAGA elected president, he/she should bulldoze that on day one and replant the rose garden. Name it as memorial to Virginia Louise Giuffre.

Make this his official portrait:

nearly 500,000 in 7 months!

The U.S. economy added 2.23 million jobs in 2024.

Oh, and native-born workers have accounted for ALL job gains since January? Bull fucking shit.

,

Yea LOL at that.  It still would have been bullshit of course but they could have at least gone with "citizen workers" using native born means we are supposed to believe every single one of those bullshit jobs numbers that will be revised in a few months anyway went to people born on US soil.

I have no idea how they would even track that, because it plays no role whatsoever in how job counts are calculated.

My first job out of grad school was producing these numbers at https://texaslmi.com/ back in the late 90s, so I'm very familiar with the process. The BLS then takes these numbers and more-or-less republishes them. Of course, they do their own stuff in DC, but the topline figures we read in the papers come from each state’s workforce commission, as shown at the link.

Trump wants people to have less credit cards interest to pay when they lose their jobs. He thinks that low interest rates mean high stock markets. That is the basic understanding of his fight with Powell. Historically, we are no where near high interest rates and no one in the media can, or has the desire, to explain that to the American public. So he will get away with blaming everything on Powell despite it being about tariffs.

"Native born" is a nice compromise between "citizen" and "white".

If anything, he's getting kickbacks from some of the contractors, if not all of them.  Would love to see the budget for that project, as well as the list of final bidders awarded the jobs.

That last guy on the video states that the low numbers are excusable due to the confusion and reticence around the trade wars and tariffs.  They know what the causes are, but are too cowardly to step up and point fingers.

People should start asking their grandparents what the interest rate on their first mortgage was.

not that this is news, but Trump is such a chicken shit coward.

Worth repeating. He's only bold when he is untouchable. It would be such fun to be stuck in an elevator with him just to terrorize him without having to lay a finger on that sorry fuck. I used to fantasize about a moment like that with Rush Limbaugh. I was big and imposing back in the day.

I never fantasized it with Reagan because he would have kicked my ass and terrorized me. Still, he'd get scratched up.

Are you suggesting that the Executive Branch under Donald Trump would lie?
