Think about the people he surrounds himself with - Kash, Bondi, Whiskey Pete, the parking garage lawyer, the guy who fucked Puck’s ex.

You think he’s getting the best care available?

So Trump has fired McCrery because the guy apparently has a sense of taste and proportion. https://www.cnn.com/2025/12/04/politics/ballroom-trump-architect-white-house

The new guy has a very limited portfolio of historic preservation.  https://www.sbaranes.com/portfolio/historic-preservation/grid

The footprint is grotesque. The whole thing is grotesque. This President and MAGA is grotesque.

But in a way we deserve this.

We should have this eyesore forever to remind us of the abject failure that is this President and Presidency.
We don’t reckon with slavery and Native American genocide because there’s nothing ‘lasting’ showing its horrors. No mirror to our face. Hell we have statues of the guys who did the enslaving and lost fighting a war to preserve the slavin’.

Maybe this ballroom can be the anti-civil war statue for us so that we may heal.

Nah, let’s burn it to the ground.

This is just Steven Miller doing a sock puppet with Trump, but it's still disgusting

Well, I may be wrong, but my sense of it is immigration fear and hysteria is mostly responsible for right-wing populonationalism pretty much everywhere in the western world.

So, it's a Steven Miller, Viktor Orban, Nigel Farage, Marine LePen, AfD and on and on thing.

We lost the Soviets as an enemy and replaced them with Muslims and crypto-commies, when we should have just stuck with Russia.

So they are going to try and tie the pipe bomber reveal to Biden’s FBI and say they knew this info and hid it?

Are they this dumb? The AI tools used to find the bomber today weren’t available 3 years ago.

It bears keeping in mind that all of those things you mention have been getting help from Russian intelligence. Exporting discontent is their speciality

And the refugee situations that drove the "distasteful" emigrations were Russian-driven in almost every instance.

I heard an FBI dude saying basically "They're trying to make this out like the 'Biden FBI' just shelved everything and gave up, and then the 'Trump FBI' showed up and cracked the case. The work never stopped on this case."

I was told Marge was the pipe bomber.  False flag, imo.

The timing is curious, though.

(I still want to believe. Just give me this one. Ok and Fake Melania.)

Has Trump pardoned him yet?

They’re too busy covering his room with antifa paraphernalia. There will surely be a file in there saying “antifa to-do list: sent by Joe Biden,” and shit like that.

Me, if I were a reporter with White House press access: “Mr. President, sir, my question is, is Stephen Miller’s hand uncomfortable?”

Trump: “Wha?  Does he have a problem with his hand?  I haven’t heard of a problem with his hand.”

Me: “Well, sir, I’m sorry, I should have been more clear with my question.  What I meant was, is Stephen Miller’s hand causing discomfort in your rectum?  I mean, since he clearly has his entire arm all the way up your ass into your mouth so he can operate you like a ventriloquist dummy.”

I'm kind of in awe at some of the restraint I see. If I were to ask him a typical question that any president would get, and he responds by calling me stupid and ugly, it would be really hard to not respond in kind. But they just take it, and move on to the next question. I guess that's something else he has normalized now.

They have no spine, just like most Rs.  They just want their access and the ability to publish clickbait.  Journalism is pathetic these days.

Modern "journalism" has this weird tick where they refuse to state and obvious finding and will instead offer every position equally, even when one side is fabricated fiction. If they speak out, they'll lose their access and the outlets that employ them are owned by cowardly MBA's that just want line to go up, not conduct actual journalism and inform the public

Sorry for the aside, but need to get this off my chest somewhere.

Was in the car with my 8 year old yesterday afternoon and we were talking about Christmas plans. I was about to bring up what he wanted from Santa, but paused. and asked him if he believes in Santa Claus. He immediately said no, that he came to that conclusion a while ago. For a second I thought "that's kind of a bummer" but then realized I was happy about it.

We don't live in a world anymore where that fantasy is healthy for kids to hold on to IMO. We are in a post-fact world, being gaslit and fed lies from this entire presidential administration and online through social media and other avenues on a hourly basis. Fucking AI has infiltrated everything too, making it difficult for people (especially children) to know what's real or not. Trump's America is a fucking disaster.

When we were growing up, we lived in a truth-based environment, or at least it was perceived that way from all of society. So Santa Claus was a fun thing to dream about and believe in. But truth is almost dead. I'm spitting nothing but hard facts to my child so he can live a life that is genuine and moral and real. IMO that's how we should "protect" them moving forward.

This World Cup draw shit is insane. Trump just got his participation trophy from an organization that is nearly as corrupt as he is -- FIFA.

A made up award to kiss his ass. One can only hope that he’ll say something stupid like it being a bigly better than any Nobel Peace Prize, thus assuring future NPP committees that the Fool was and never will be a recipient.

Pardon incoming.

There's an argument to be made that he's already BEEN pardoned.

"I further direct the Attorney General to pursue dismissal with prejudice to the government of all pending indictments against individuals for their conduct related to the events at or near the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021."

This language has been used, BY THE TRUMP DOJ, to conclude that even J 6-adjacent crimes (such as separate firearms offenses found in searches of homes of J 6ers etc.) have been pardoned.

Quote

Also Tuesday, the Justice Department similarly said Trump’s clemency covered a firearms conviction against former Jan. 6 defendant Dan Wilson, who was sentenced to five years in prison for illegal guns discovered in his Kentucky home. The developments in the two cases followed the Justice Department’s efforts last week to broadly deploy Trump’s pardons on behalf of two other Jan. 6 defendants with separate gun-related charges. The moves are an abrupt shift for the Justice Department, which had previously argued that the “plain language” of Trump’s pardons covered only crimes that occurred on the actual day of Jan. 6 and in proximity to the Capitol.

If I was his attorney, I would absolutely argue that he's already been pardoned by Trump.

As a life-long soccer hater, it brings me no joy to be proven correct in my contention that it is a sport bereft of proper theology and geometry and fundamentally incompatible with a healthy, vigorous, and confident America.

"pending indictments" refers to indictments that were pending.

This.

The words mean whatever the Trump DOJ says they mean.  They may well decree that "pending indictments" means that everyone must eat meatball sandwiches next Tuesday under penalty of death.

Nothing.  Actually.  Matters anymore.  Someday, everyone will get it.  But that someday will be way, way, way too late.

You got a problem with meatball sandwiches?

Oh, I will survive next Tuesday's purge for sure.  Love me a good meatball sandwich.  Shit, I even like a mediocre meatball sandwich.
