Dumbasses.  So many Hispanic MAGA on the bandwagon. Maybe they see themselves as white or "white enough" to think they get to be part of the club that gets to be left alone in peace? White racists sure don't see it that way.  The guy in the video should be worried that he will be targeted for deportation after showing up on a TV broadcast and admitting he is here on the DREAMER program.  I guarantee that one of his customers/neighbors will be putting in a tip on him.

He's in Tennessee, probably already a half-a-dozen nearby coffee shops have called ICE on him.

It was a different time, place, and political environment, but I'm reminded of the mid-1990s when the GOP governor of California (Wilson?) went all-in on the immigrant hate stuff with help from the state assembly, of course, which really pissed off the state's Latino community. Someone can certainly correct me, but if I recall correctly, California Hispanics at the time had been much more willing to give Republicans a shot at the ballot box before all of that.

I want to say that I read some voting analysis a while back that once California Latinos turned their back on the GOP after all that anti-immigrant stuff and never looked back, that was the moment California began its shift to the solidly blue state we think of today.

If he is currently DACA, he couldn’t vote. I don’t understand this story.
Edit: article says they are Trump supporters, not Trump voters.

You have a very good memory.

California passed Prpo 187 in 1994 with 59% of the vote.  It prohibited undocumented immigrants from receiving state-funded social services, education, and non-emergency healthcare and required state officials (e.g., teachers and police) to report suspected undocumented individuals to federal immigration authorities.  It never went into effect, as it was blocked by various federal-court decisions.

It was the high-water mark for the GOP in California.  Since then, it has won exactly three statewide elections--two of which were by Arnold Schwarzenegger.  Prop 187 isn't the only reason--such a complete political collapse couldn't possibly have just one reason--but it seriously damaged the Republican Party with Hispanic voters in a way that was fatal given its other weaknesses.

NPR did a pretty long piece on this during the first Trump administration (still feels bizarre typing that phrase)

Permanent residents can't vote as far as I'm aware.

Same thought.

However, I believe permanent residency is the first and a necessary step toward naturalization.  And the hardest part to get.  The implication also being that they would not have gotten permanent residence without DACA and thus would not be citizens.

Edit:  Upon watching the video, the husband remains a permanent resident under DACA, but his wife is a citizen.  They're fucked up Jesus freaks.  Claiming being parents and business owners made them more conservative.

She actually seems reasonable, and is opposed to Andy Ogles and might vote for a D if he wins the primary.  But it is prima facie unreasonable to not support Ogles while supporting Trump.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of Hispanics and Asians that have fooled themselves into thinking they're white because they have straight hair.

I give him credit; he's also positioning himself as the alternative come 2028 or 2030.
No chance in hell, but he's probably going to be in a better position to help pick up the pieces of the GOP after next year's elections.

There is no “alternative” in the GQP. Your choices are “racist” or “RINO, GTFO!”
Nobody who doesn’t cater to pure white nationalism has any place in the party or among its voters.

There is still time for Vivek to divorce his wife and marry Erika Kirk.

Joking aside, if she doesn’t end up with JD Vance after he divorces his dark-skinned wife, I will be shocked.

Fortunately or unfortunately, those assholes long predated Trump.  It is remarkable that all of them to a man Jack are all-in on Trump.

Vivek is the political version of the person that wants so badly to get invited to a party where the other party-goers don’t want them. Very sad.

It’s not impossible for him to get elected but his complexion and “challenging” name will be a tough sell to some republicans. Maybe those voters wouldn’t vote for a white Dem over him but most likely they would just stay home.

I could see him as a mayor or maybe as a congressional rep for the right district. Ohio governor? I know he’s neck and neck with the primary polls, but I just don’t see it. if Trump was willing to campaign for him, maybe that could get him over the finish line but Trump hates picking close races.

I like how he was at some rally or right wing nutfest telling the crowd that hatred and discrimination against people are not welcome in the "conservative movement"

Bitch, discrimination and hatred are the foundations of the conservative politics.

Took my son and one of his buddies fishing in Seadrift over the weekend. That drive from Austin used to look like a Trump parade route with all the flags and signs. Tx130>183>87>185...Austin, Lockhart, Luling, Gonzales, Cuero, Victoria, Seadrift. Not a single Trump flag on any of those ranch gate flag poles. Still plenty of US, Texas and CATI flags, but the Trump merch was gone. I only saw one tattered 4'x8' Trump 2020 sign hanging off a gate of what might have been an abandoned doublewide. We had dinner at Bubba's Saturday night, and it was packed as usual. No Trump flags on any of the Bro-Dozer trucks or golf carts in the parking lot. I only saw one 30ish year old guy with a "MAGA Country" t shirt. His group of four were the only people in the whole place that didn't look like they were having a good time. It was a younger couple and an older couple, so I assume it was one set of parents. I don't know if they were all frowning because shit head wore a MAGA shirt to dinner or what, but the four of them looked pretty sullen.

Hey, Cunty McCuntbrain....now try on the next level of thinking.  If you were THAT FUCKING WRONG about your judgment as to the most obviously stupid, narcissist, criminal, shitty person in human history....MAYBE consider the fact that you are ALSO that fucking wrong about your political beliefs as a whole.

I know, I know, I'm in fantasy land here, but that IS the next step in the logical progression.  They'll never get there, because logic isn't a thing with them -- they only grasp concepts when said concepts beats them over the head till a gallon or two of their blood spills.
