I have some crazy friends that send me crazy shit.  Not in my feed at all (well fuck it probably is now).  I really should have just sent it to Nicole to fact check for accuracy.

You should probably curate your friends if you count readers of gateway pundit amongst your social circle.

It's still not a great look for that individual. Assuming the picture lines up with the soundcloud and social media.

We'll see if someone else runs with it. It was being discussed on reddit yesterday.

Since Columbine all we have heard is that LE “monitors” the internet on some level. Like do they really? Cuz these mass shooters and assassin types all but telegraph what they are intending to do and their reasons for it long before they actually act. I get younger people not reporting posts or not wanting to be seen as snitched but almost all these disaffected fuckers are letting the world know what they are intending to do. And end up doing it. And then we play clean up the blood. Rinse and repeat. Is there no preemption? Or does a lot more preemption happen and we just don’t hear the success stories?

Andrew Ross Sorkin is one of three hosts of the business show "Squawk Box" on from 5-8 am central on CNBC.  He would be the liberal side of the scale to Joe Kernan, with Becky Quick providing a tonic to the trio. Ive watched or listened to that show for 30 years.

The point of his note or article (not sure what the context of what's posted above) is made by referencing 3 instances of targeted attacks, all within the last few mos, no need to go deeper or source more imo.

Eh, somehow failing to mention the actual targeted killing of politicians in the last few months seems like a pretty fucking huge omission.

I guess this is good to know. It just seems like still so many are slipping thru the cracks.

The sheer volume of shit getting posted on the internet makes real-time monitoring problematic. Take Tik-Tok as an example, there are 23-24 million uploads added each day. Even with some AI scanner flagging uploads for future human review, thats gonna take time, and meanwhile another million uploads just got added in the last hour. And that is one site. You have reddit, facebook, insta, 4 chan, and god knows how many other sites. Its similar to how Texas is really proud of the Dont Mess with Texas ad campaign with regards to littering, and while the campaign did lead to a reduction of littering, there is still shitloads of trash lying alongside our roadways. The sheer volume of uploads make the process fallible.

I did see the overlay of the person whose name has been mentioned as being the assassin. Fog of War shit and all that with this kind of rush to get the information I hope they aren’t wrong bc this person’s name is being lit up on X now.

just showing the overlay. I don’t think it’s as close as how other people view it but whatever.

Damn.  They've always struggled to fill that tiny stadium, to the laughter of all of college football, but you have to commend them for taking creative steps to try and bring in the local community.  Fort Worth also has a sizable Filipino community, so adobo hot dogs must be on their way.

Similar perhaps, but I don't think these accounts should be doing this because it's not close enough nor a good enough match and the  harassment innocent people receive once these types of "pairings" and speculations occur is horrific. I posted something in the CR where a 77 year old Toronto banker was declared the shooter yesterday when people mismatched his photo with scenes of the elderly person arrested yesterday.

Edit: I've had Korean hot dogs in LA, Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn and if they go mainstream I will be chuffed.

Unfortunately I think we all know where this is going. Republicans are starting with porn, but in some states like Mississippi, they are already requiring a real ID to post to social media. They are putting feelers out, but every instance they can't control on social media (like sharing of Kirk's video), they will use to justify requiring real ID for using Social Media. They want to track what everyone is doing and saying online. They've already paid Palantir a shit ton of money to start doing it. Everything in the government data bases, will be tied to a real person, along with their online identities and they will absolutely target you if you say something out of line with the Trump regime. It's already starting now, this is just around the corner. VPN's will just slightly prolong the inevitable, but see Germany, where they are starting to target them. VPN will also be on the chopping block soon. Free speech, the anonymity of the internet, will be a thing of the past. Start scrubbing your shit now. lol

They're gonna have a problem with corporate use cases. TLS tunneling is intrinsic to networking as a protocol, they can't really turn it off unless they completely abandon modern information technology

I can’t imagine the Rainey Ripper puts their activities on any electronic device. That would be dim.

Online anonymity is dying quickly.

Can't debate in public or you could be attacked physically.

Can't debate in private online either.

I agree in general but one of these people being discussed was releasing music about Charlie Kirk being dead. It isn't just matching them to the photo of the suspect.

INFORMATION AND DEVELOPMENTS

BREAKING per CBS News: Investigators say they have identified the name of a person of interest in the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

Sources told CBS News that federal law enforcement know the name of a person they released pictures of earlier on Thursday, but did not reveal the name.

It comes as authorities say they have received over 200 tips in the ongoing manhunt and are exploring 'several leads' to track down the killer.

Earlier Thursday, the FBI released an image of a person of interest taken from the scene at UVU campus before the shooting.

That's not the image the FBI released. It's been doctored. Obviously. There's no magical software than can increase the resolution of a picture without access to the raw image. So let's go ruin that guy's life too because he sucks at debating.

Explain how citing Leviticus 20:13 and calling it "God's perfect law" is peaceful.

Another perfect law from Leviticus:

Anyone with such a defiling disease must wear torn clothes, let their hair be unkempt,[c] cover the lower part of their face and cry out, ‘Unclean! Unclean!’ 46 As long as they have the disease they remain unclean. They must live alone; they must live outside the camp.

Witnesses Assumed Charlie Kirk Shooter Was Just Ordinary Gunman On School Campus
The Onion / by The Onion Staff / Sep 11, 2025 at 12:21 PM

OREM, UT—As law enforcement officials search for a person of interest in the assassination of 31-year-old Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk, witnesses on the scene at Utah Valley University admitted Thursday they had assumed the shooter was just an ordinary gunman on campus. “When that first shot rang out, we all figured it was going to be a run-of-the-mill mass shooting” said UVU junior Michael Tompkins, who explained that when students spotted a man clad in black and carrying a rifle on a roof overlooking the crowd, they had no reason to suspect anything unusual. “It’s chilling that a person we thought was a normal, unhinged campus shooter was actually a political assassin. You see a deranged guy with a rifle on the quad every day. I suppose it was a little suspicious that he wasn’t shooting droves of students.” At press time, the FBI announced that the gunman had escaped by blending into the heavily armed crowd.

Visit From JD Vance Last Thing Utah Needs Right Now
The Onion / by The Onion Staff / Sep 11, 2025 at 12:35 PM

SALT LAKE CITY—Alarmed by numerous reports that the vice president was currently en route to the state, sources confirmed Thursday that a visit from JD Vance was the last thing Utah needed right now. “We’re already going through a lot, but to add JD Vance on top of everything else?” said one Utah resident, who pleaded for anyone with contacts in the vice president’s office to put a stop to his trip immediately. “Ugh, the last few days have been really hard. And suddenly we’ve got JD Vance coming to Utah. Now whose idea was that? It’s been utter chaos here, and now they just want to rub salt in the wound.” At press time, Arizona had reportedly volunteered to pretend to be Utah.
