Jomboy to the white courtesy phone please.

"Hey, Jomboy. Love your videos. How about a lip reading of that Epstein and Trump video?"

Seriously, a small group of people posting some variation of that comment whenever his videos first drop on YouTube would further stoke this fire.

I don't get all the "this isn't going away" and "MAGA is imploding" and "Trump is losing QAnon". What difference does it make? Is Trump somehow not going to be POTUS at least three more years and implementing all the policies that assault the Constitution with the support of SCOTUS? Does anyone really think Trump is going to be removed from office over this?

MAGA congress want to keep their sweet grift too and if the winds blow long enough they’ll have to do whatever it takes to stay in office. Plus the chance that Musk primaries some of them.

Oh, I don't think anything of significance is going to come of this, because we're not going to see any Epstein files with Trump's name on them.  I just think it's amusing that this is the issue creating the most notable fissure in MAGA nation.

Probably, but I don’t think most people who are not MAGA themselves understand how little visibility MAGA has to information about Trump and what he’s actually doing and done. But they know a lot about the Epstein thing. And they care about it.

I think there is a certain "morality" that supports persecution of minorities yet is repulsed by pedophilia.  It's not moral at all, but they see it as such.

I think the pedophilia crusade, grounded in the batshit crazy QAnon movement, seems more like a weird fetish than virtue-based morality.  It just that with the Epstein stuff, there's something to it.

About the only hope we have is that the resulting increase in vitriol from former supporters creates White House desperation, a wavering in support from his lapdogs in Congress, and a Democratic tidal wave for Congressional elections in 2026.

It’s fucking baffling how they’ve handled this. When they were touting how they were about to release the Epstein files, I just assumed they’d doctor some shit or something. They can’t even do that right.

I agree with this, but Trump delaying/avoiding/running out the clock on this won't lead them to better inform themselves. They won't question the same process flaw that led them here. They'll just run back to the same sources/media outlets that hollowed out their brains, and those folks will find a shiny new distraction for them.

It's weirdly entertaining to see entrenched MAGAs begin to turn on Trump over Epstein, and I think pardoning Maxwell will just send them over the edge.

the dog caught the car, and now MAGA leaders are having to tell the truth to the conspiracy crowd. I never bought the idea that there is this client or blackmail list. Now did Epstein blackmail someone or more likely gave an implication of it? Maybe but it's unlikely there is a file called Blackmail list.

I know my maga father doesn’t know most of his crimes and bullshit. But he doesn’t want to, and refuses to open his eyes to it.

I don't get why you don't just destroy all the files unless there are some copies backed up somewhere that the feds can't get their hands on.

Epstein needed these files to exist or the implied blackmail threat doesn't work.

The files got seized during his first arrest, presumably, and Trump 45 could have destroyed or altered them. People have speculated that Epstein didn't commit suicide because powerful people had a compelling motivation to keep him from revealing who's in the files.

Biden of course did nothing useful with the files.

Trump 47 campaigned on full transparency, but now the files "don't exist."

If there are secure, off-site backups (this should be the case for any government files), I don't think anybody should have access to alter a backup at the file level.  If it was me, I would setup multiple DR sites for archives and the only way to remove data would be to burn the entire backup. I'm hardly an expert, but this is why I've been thinking they can't just take Trump out of the docs.

Which is kind of like wondering whether you wanted to be abused by Jabba the Hutt (Trump) or the sad guard Malakili, whose monster Rancor Luke killed (Bannon).

I'd go with Maliki.  He cried when Rancor was killed, indicating some level of emotional tenderness.  There's a chance he would be gentle.

I was thinking about this.  The same mindset that wouldn't let him admit to a mistake regarding a Hurricane hitting Alabama is probably the same thing that will keep him from releasing an unredacted Epstein file that would mention him, even if that mention isn't incriminating.  There are no shades of grey.

Trump Urges Supporters To Move On From Societal Disdain For Pedophilia

Published:

July 14, 2025

WASHINGTON—Facing mounting backlash from his MAGA base over his perceived ties to the Jeffrey Epstein case, President Donald Trump reportedly encouraged his supporters Monday to simply move on from society’s widespread disdain for pedophilia. “It’s time to just accept that some people like having sex with kids and focus on the fantastic things we’re doing to win back the respect of the world,” said Trump, who expressed frustration that instead of celebrating the passage of his domestic spending bill or his historic deportation numbers, many of his supporters were getting distracted by “something that people have done since ancient Greece.” “Are people really still talking about the sexual abuse of children? Let it go! Our administration is making America great again. That’s the story, not whether I or anyone else ‘diddled’ an underage girl! The case is closed. Sometimes kids get molested. Maybe they shouldn’t dress like such sluts!” Trump went on to state that he has had many pedophile friends and associates over the years who have been fine, hardworking Americans.
