The sad part is how much of this was totally known and previously reported or at least knowable years and decades ago. This shouldn’t be breaking news. A total failure of the information environment.

It also demonstrates the inability of the Democrats* to either identify an effective softspot or to get into people's social media feeds to exploit it.  Admittedly, I didn't think this would be a surprise to anyone, but I am not paid to evaluate that kind of thing.

So Todd Blanche is going to go meet with Maxwell. I'm sure he'll be real up front with that Ghislaine tells him, especially anything involving Trump. She's negotiating for a pardon and will tell Blanche what he (and Dotard) want to hear with the promise of a full pardon and immediate release from prison. That's how this is going to go.

After the January 6 insurrectionists were pardoned, I figured no pardon would surprise me. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if she's pardoned after she says Trump had no involvement at all with any questionable behavior.

Oh, so y'all HAVE figured out the play.

Yeah, this was 100% obvious the second that "getting her story" was mentioned.  She will be asked to say "Trump was just another New Yorker who came to big social events.  He had no idea that anything bad was happening, and he never had sex with any of Epstein's girls."  She will say it.  She will be pardoned.  And...this is the important part...all of the "law and order" and "WE MUST PUNISH PEDOS!" MAGAts will suddenly be just fine with that outcome.

Because...and this is also important....they are the most loathsome people presently walking this earth.

I saw James Comer rule out that very obvious possibility today. Something like “Yeah we’re not offering immunity to a child sex trafficker.” Well, yeah, you certainly wouldn’t think so. Would you.

I am not sure just saying Trump never fucked the girls is enough.  She is going to say he was never even on the island and they barely knew him.  Also Obama was the real pedo!

You mean something simple to understand, can be stated in a sentence or two, and can be repeated over and over and over ad nauseam and targeted to low information voters?

Maybe something like “Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein were BFFs. Release the files.”

NAH, that would never have worked

A federal judge in Florida on Wednesday denied a request from the Trump administration to release grand jury transcripts from an investigation into the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, stymying efforts by President Trump to dispel a storm of criticism from many of his supporters.

The quick denial came in response to a request by the government last week asking the court to unseal those documents and to transfer the case to New York, where Mr. Epstein was indicted after a grand jury investigation in 2019. In its request, the Justice Department cited “extensive public interest” and “transparency to the American public.”

Mr. Trump and his subordinates, including Attorney General Pam Bondi, have come under enormous pressure to release further details about Mr. Epstein. Ms. Bondi had promised to do so but reversed course after a joint memo issued by the F.B.I. and the Justice Department on July 6 indicated that no more disclosures about Mr. Epstein’s conviction would be forthcoming.

The memo concluded that after an exhaustive review of evidence in the cases against Mr. Epstein, the government had uncovered no new evidence “that could predicate an investigation into uncharged third parties.”

Judge Robin L. Rosenberg wrote that the court’s “hands are tied.” The government had not requested the grand jury’s findings for use in a judicial proceeding, she wrote, adding that district courts are generally prohibited from unsealing grand jury testimony except in narrow circumstances.

She ordered that a new case be created “in the public interest” that provided access to the government’s requests and the denial order, as the Epstein grand jury docket is still sealed. But she ordered closed the case where the government filed its request, which started with the investigation into Mr. Epstein in Florida in 2005.

I'm not surprised, or all that upset.  My guess is that Trump and other clients weren't specifically named in the grand jury transcripts, and if they were released, Trump would've screamed that this was some sort of vindication.  The Trump lawyers probably told him this, and the fact that a judge likely wouldn't grant a request to release the transcripts, so he told them to make the request so he could claim transparency and, gosh darn it, he's getting to the bottom of this.

He definitely wasn't in there. Grand jury testimony is going to be just the most surface level info. And of course he wouldn't be seeking their release if he was mentioned.

He’ll be able to control Bondi/Planche/DOJ to the full extent. The crazies might be another story. The guy who started the Oath Keepers is pissed as is Alex Jones and their idiot audiences. I’m sure it will all work out for Dotard but there are some wild cards out there.

Epstein has become a political wedge among GOP

Rep. Thomas Massie, a Republican whose contrarian stances are often a thorn in the side of leadership, is gathering support for a legislative maneuver to force the bipartisan bill to a House vote, even without leadership’s consent.

Now, there are a lot of people here in the swamp who think that, ‘Oh, well, if we spend five weeks on vacation, the pressure for this will dissipate. I don’t think it’s going to dissipate.’” Massie told reporters Monday evening.

Democrats have watched it all unfold with glee and worked to inflame the conflict among Republicans by making their own calls for transparency on the Epstein investigation. They have repeatedly tried to force votes on the matter, casting it as an issue of trust in the government.

“It’s about transparency in government. It’s about whose side are you on? Are you on the side of the rich and powerful, protecting men? Or are you on the side of young girls and America’s children?” said Rep. Ro Khanna, the California Democrat who put forward the legislation alongside Massie.

Yep.

And as Americans, it's our patriotic duty to support an island where our dear leaders can get away from the pressures of running the Greatest Country in The World and Saving it from the Lunatic Left by relaxing in the sun and raping young girls.

That will be the line, and they will all toe it.
