The republicans will nominate him but he would not win the election. You think if the economy tanks independents are still gonna support trump? He’s already lost Wisconsin Michigan and Pennsylvania and that’s with the economy currently strong. If the election is held today trump loses. If the economy tanks it’s a landslide loss for trumpy bear.

I think several "independents" are really republicans pretending to be libertarians and will still vote for him.  If trump loses I don't think the economy will have anything to do with it.  I think the same people who voted for him will continue to vote for him.  If trump loses it will be because liberals and common sense people who usually don't vote go ahead and actually vote.  I don't see it happening.  I wish I had your optimism.

We've already seen that the Russians are willing to actively interfere in our elections.  What makes you think that 1) they'll stop, and 2) they won't go even further?  ESPECIALLY when the party in control FUCKING HELPS THEM.

The GOP - excuse me, there is no such party, it's now the POT -  has amply demonstrated that it is wholly opposed to any more free and fair elections in this country.  We've already established that they are wholly undemocratic.  You, however, believe that they're only sorta undemocratic.  Nope.  They're all-in.  The next presidential election will be tampered with left and right, and the efforts of our enemy to do so will be both shielded from consequences by the POT, and actively assisted by the POT.  The functioning Republic you thought you lived in is long gone.

This is what Trump thinks.  Unfiltered.

Jerry Patterson pointed that out.

He got brutally shouted down as a libtard and RINO, and openly accused of faking that video.

That's what we're dealing with, folks.  You don't beat that with any conventional political mechanism.  That kind of divide ends in violence.

Sorry but that in my opinion is overly pessimistic and premature. Yes the Republican Party has become a corrupt organization, but America is not currently one party rule and I’d be interested in your theory as to how they’re gonna achieve it in the next 2 years with a minimum of 60 percent of the country along with the House of Representatives against them.

. . . and if that's true, we'll see an even larger divergence between exit polling and results.  And if THAT occurs, then it's anybody's guess what happens next, but I will suggest this:  there is a vast difference between a pissed off minority and a pissed off majority.  Your crystal ball is nowhere near good enough to predict THAT future.

Definitely agreed on that point.  All I see is a shitstorm.  What kind, and how it ends...beats me.

When did this happen? What was the venue?

With respect to the 2016 election, with the exception of hard to poll Nevada (which actually overestimated trumps vote) , the only states where the outcome was significantly different than the polling right before the election (not sure about exit polling) and was enough to make a difference was Wisconsin Michigan and Pennsylvania. And Wisconsin was the most off at 7 points off. That was the difference for trumps victory.

Hmm... we might want to more closely monitor those three states ya think? Too bad Scott Walker isn’t still the Wisconsin governor though. I’m sure he kept it all above board.

I follow Jerry on FB.  He posted the point/video about Trump being casually dismissive of due process with respect to gun owners.  Here are some cut and pasted responses:

Quote

Dear Jerry... I learned in my police academy class NEVER NEVER believe these few seconds video clips. NOT unless you were there for the WHOLE meeting and have all the facts... THIS IS JUST PLAIN FAKE NEWS THEN. DO NOT judge unless you have all the facts, NOT just the parts the fake communist news wants you to hear.

Jerry is a liberal from Austin helping spread discord amongst Trump supporters. End of story.

The way that the video is edited and presented is disingenuous.
If you are unaware of sound and video editing techniques that can clandestinely alter the way they are presented then I submit that you have been living under a rock in a third or fourth world country.
This president is far more concerned about constitutionality that our last one.

Period.

Jerry Patterson You're a liberal. Enough said.

He is a typical left blowhard !!

Jerry Patterson when are you just going to go away?

Bye Jerry. Not sure how you ended up on my news feed, but bye.

Jerry Patterson embarrassing to share your last name

My mistake, I forgot we have a different RINO as land commissioner these days.

You can tape/cut to make a video that says what you want it to say. #TRUMP2020!

It’s called “Deep Fake Video.” Google it!

Gerald Walker you think you could trust anything's Jerry Patterson says I don't he's buddies with Beto and lost to a bush

Dang! He's turning into a democrat !

Jerry Patterson -- liberal RINO democrat.  There you have it.

Like I said earlier, this is one example of the "other sources of funding" for the wall Hucksterbeef mentioned.

This.  These are people who diverted FEMA funding to ICE.  You think they won't utterly fuck over veterans to serve their xenophobic dreams?

Don't forget about diverting funds formerly used for cancer research to detain immigrant children. #bebest

he Department of Health and Human Services is diverting up to $266 million this fiscal year to pay for the detainment of immigrant children, Yahoo News reported.

In a letter to Senator Patty Murray of Washington, HHS Secretary Alex Azar detailed his plan to redistribute money previously used for cancer research, other refugee support programs and Head Start, which provides children from low-income families with education, health and social services.

The funds will be sent to the Unaccompanied Alien Children program, which is overseen by the Office of Refugee Resettlement.

WHY THE FUCK CANT SOMEONE CONCISELY ARTICULATE THE FOLLOWING QUESTION TO DOTARD:

”Mr President:  i’m going to ask you a very direct question so I would appreciate a direct response. How did we go from your campaign promise that Mexico would pay for your wall to your demand today that the American taxpayers pay for the wall or you will shut down the government?“

Well we got very close today but the question was posed to Fattard not DOTARD. And the response was mind blowing stupidity as you would expect. And I did check the math on that.

I've often wondered how this would work.  Like, are we sticking the wall in the middle of the Rio Grande?  Are we putting it on our side of the river, thus ceding to Mexico the Rio Grande?  Are we gonna put it on our side?  Are there even roads to much of our southern border?

I think we can safely assume that Trump didn't put a whole lotta thought into his cockeyed plan

My guess is that Trump will start a war sometime in the latter half of next year. It will be timed like the Iraq war was, so everything will be going well come election time and people won't want to vote the Commander in Chief out of office during a war. Don't want to change horses in the middle of the stream, it would send the wrong message to the enemy, etc.

What are you talking about? He'll watch it all day on the teevee.

He would love to watch his armies succeed in battle on tv, especially if it bumped less favorable news from getting coverage. And you know he'd love to have a nice military-style jacket made for himself. Maybe put some fake medals on it. That's the last unchecked box on the dictator checklist.

But realistically, he could hand it over to the generals. I could see him and Kushner trying to get personally involved in command decisions. I don't know how he'd operate. But with Trump we can't make any assumptions about "Presidential duties." He's not bound by any norms or standards. And things would only have to go well long enough for him to get reelected. I don't think he'd let it interfere with his golf game.

if you haven't seen the last king of scotland, it's definitely an underrated piece of cinema, imo.

(don't get me wrong, it won a lot of awards, but you just don't see too many people talking about it)

Since we have been at war for pretty much the last 17 years, I don’t think this makes a shit any more.

He needs a target rich war, one that will look good on tv. Afghanistan didn't cut it for Dubya and it won't cut it for Trump. I'm talking about a nice, bright, shiny new war.

Mexico has some nice architecture that would make great optics for war-porn.

And unfortunately, most likely one in response to something incredibly tragic and visceral to the American people.
