I’d like to think Cornyn is going to go scorched earth on this stupid fuck leading up to the primary, but he’s a big pussy so I expect he won’t

He'll probably drop out when Trump endorses Paxton

This is exactly what happens. I mean, he may not drop out, but he might as well. Grifting criminal con men stick together; Paxton is a lock for the Trump endorsement, which means he’s a lock to be our next Senator.

Remember, folks…it only gets worse, and there is no bottom.
Odds are very high that Paxton opens a criminal inquiry into why Biden murdered 20+ campers along the Guadalupe within the next week. You think that’s alarmist hyperbole. It’s not.

Fuck yeah, Ken Paxton is!  I am calling on Pam Bondi, release the Epstein list on your desk to prove Ken Paxton is not on it!  Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Do you think her lawyer was okay with her sending out that tweet, or do you think she even consulted with him before doing that?

I'm not a family lawyer, but with a law practice that is as personal and emotional as that, I imagine a lot of lawyers routinely tell their divorce clients upon engagement to refrain from any social media communications about the proceeding, even if the other spouse was a cheating, stealing, abusive shitbag.  I'll let @hornian and others weigh in.

So glad social media wasn't a thing when I filed, because my ex would have been all over that spouting off shit day and night.

Not surprised but wonder what event kicked off the divorce today.

"recent discoveries"

https://www.houstonchronicle.com/politics/texas/article/ken-paxton-angela-paxton-20764827.php

Quote

State Sen. Angela Paxton on Thursday filed for divorce from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, court records show.

The McKinney Republican cited “recent discoveries” and “biblical grounds” in a statement on the social media site X.

“I believe marriage is a sacred covenant and I have earnestly pursued reconciliation,” she wrote. “But in light of recent discoveries, I do not believe that it honors God or is loving to myself, my children, or Ken to remain in the marriage.”

Yeah…love the “recent discoveries” angle. Him fucking an aide was a centerpiece of his impeachment and related lawsuit, from YEARS ago. It’s all about political expediency.
But, you know, the party of Christian family values.
There is no less Christian, less pro-family group on earth than the GQP, yet here we are.

@rexkramer had his account scrubbed when his old lady decided to ditch him.

Gonna need the backstory here. Is that why he's been more insufferable lately? What will the HP community think!?!!?

I like how they couch it in biblical terms so they can continue to be judgmental of others and their divorces.

And here you go:

Angela Paxton, a Republican who represents the McKinney area, filed a petition for divorce in Collin County on Thursday, according to court records. In her divorce petition, she accuses her husband of adultery and noted the couple ceased living together in June 2024.

Also, from the same article. This brings the chuckles.

Quote

Cornyn, the senior senator from Texas, has long been critical of Paxton's alleged malfeasance as an elected official. The attorney general's marital problems could benefit Cornyn during the upcoming campaign.

This is the same party that elected Donald Trump after the "grab them by the pussy" tape, elected him again after covering up hush payments to a porn star, and will elect him again (after the Roberts Court rules he can run for a third term) when they now pretty much know he's all over the Epstein files for having sex with trafficked minors.

The divorce and whatever scandalous details of Ken's affairs come out of it don't matter.  If the voters still see Paxton as more MAGA than Cornyn, Cornyn will get his ass whupped.

I mean, I tell my clients not to post anything that they wouldn't want to be read into evidence in Court.

I think she's probably OK with that being in evidence. I would be too, based on the content I've seen. Although I groaned as a family law practitioner when I read the term "biblical grounds" because all that means is that she is signaling that she is pleadings for a fault-based ground (adultery) instead of no-fault grounds to curry favor with her base.

That wall eyed cunt will be the next POTUS.

As an unfaithful, lying, thieving, fraudulent huckster who has made a mockery of the legal system in Texas resulting in taxpayers being forced to pay for his abuse of power...he's guar-an-fucking-teed to be the #1 vote getter at the next CPAC poll for '28 GOP candidates.

I think you guys are forgetting the old “every accusation is a confession” mantra of the GOP. I think it is more likely she had a man and now wants to move that relationship forward.

Now she gets to move on cleanly since she really tried, and Ken’s the asshole that broke their sacred vows.
