Again, they would come back. Shit, just for the free crap they will get. We could create a travel fund. Donate miles, get the players back to the 40. Oh, and this from twitter

That’s probably true of most all programs. So the network just plays episodes of “Small Wonder” during the slot where the game was to have been played?

So aggy, tell me again about the 12th man….

Any chance we get the band back together?  Not saying I want to.

I would very much be a fan of Texas stepping up after aggie bitched out.  Money talks and I am sure the Tax Slayer Gator Bowl folks are going into overdrive trying to get a replacement and from a revenue perspective I don't see how they could get a better draw than Texas.  Also I bet virtually all of the team would be happy to drop whatever they were doing and come back to campus for this.

Bishop Sycamore's coach has been on hold for Wake's AD for hours.

Push it to 1/5 and I think we should do it.

It's a shame Jimbos dad didn't pull out back in the day..

Damn, Cairn Horn beat me to it...

Don’t forget this is the 100th anniversary of their fabled “12th Man” game. I can’t think of a more aggy way to commemorate the event.

Complete with the aggy strain being animal borne.

They will come up with something. Have faith.

Like Jimbo going to Jacksonville.

It’s pretty amazing that they chose to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the “12th man” by weaseling out of a game because they were allegedly short handed. Ironic.

We should play. Start making calls like the time that the Barden Bellas didn’t qualify for nationals, but then they got in and had to call all the bellas to rally.

You guys remember right?

I think you guys are being massively unfair. It's the home of the 12th man, not the 12th-44th man.

aggy can make up math like they can championships. Never doubt their capacity at logic.

Apparently not enough players were symptomatic, but were able to test enough to get under the threshold to be able to cancel the game.

Everybody knows they didnt test ANYBODY.  This is the built in excuse for not having a QB and getting curb stomped.

Didn't LSU beat them this year while down a bunch of players?

Lame duck coach as well.

Say Texas did play - would Quinn be eligible? Genuinely curious on what that rule is.

Rutgers already declined, Cal is next, then us on the on the 5-7 ladder.

How the fuck does anyone get their team back together in 24-48 hours to practice for this?

Couldn't we just practice here and fly in the day before like any other road game?

I want this to happen more than I should.

If Texas steps in, and wins, their heads would explode.

I don’t think he’s eligible until the first day of the spring semester.

Not that it would scatter any gray matter.

There really isn’t a program downside to stepping in and losing

Only if Wake agrees to just play the first half.

Best thing about Gator bowl having so many others teams step up and want to play against WF is...

Gator bowl ticket policy is: Refund only if game is cancelled....

Sorry aggy fans heading to Jacksonville...

That's what I figured.

Players did not forget the playbook. Fly them all in, book a HS football field for 2 days. Create. simple game plan and go kick ass. Or lose. But they all get SWAG. If I was 20 and sitting at home I would be calling Coach and saying where is my ticket. Hell, maybe we should (SURLY) form a team and just go for shits and giggles and ensure Aggy fans don't get refunds. Can we create our own NIL?

Ohio ruled them to not be a school a couple three weeks ago.

We'd be starting Card and nothing behind him and we'd have a bunch of no longer in football shape kids putting down their Christmas tamales and trying to play. We'd lose the game and the downside would be if someone we're counting on for next season gets a long term 10-12 month injury.

The upside is as long as we don't get flat blown out of the building we win the PR war. Can talk about how as the flagship university for this state we take pride in what Texas represents and even through impossible odds will step up to handle the responsibility that our lesser state university quit out on. Can really push that narrative for a while and hopefully boost recruiting for '23.

Aggy? Quitters.

Texas? We go out on our shields.

Official announcement does not talk about players who said fuck it, I am out.

Too bad I'm sure he would have no problem learning the offense in 9 days

Ewers couldn't play. And no way would you play him if he could.

This wouldn't be about winning the game. It would be about pride in Texas football

Team was released for break already, you'd have to get them back from wherever their family does Xmas.
