Texans, Fire Up Your VPNs/Present Your Government ID to View Porn Online (Now they want to ban all porn nation-wide)

Not me! I’m going to start making bootleg porn in my dirty bathtub in the basement.

As you know, it might make you go blind, but the “juice” will most probably be worth the squeeze.

My hope is that the test case challenge to this proposed legislation is a satire porn in which the actors depict Donald Trump fucking all of his children, a throwback to the Hustler ad with a satiric interview of Jerry Falwell talking about losing his virginity to his mother in an outhouse.

I can't define porn, but I know it when I see it. A kid's stepmom getting stuck in the dryer ain't it.

Nope, apparently, it's a pretty common thing to happen, according to the internet.

There's nothing slow about it, and this legislation will pass.

I like how apparently they think pornhub is the only site out there. This will not stop anyone from accessing anything.

It'll stop plenty of tech-ignorant people, but I'm assuming the VPNs will be blasting ads all over the place (more than they do now).

Right now the legislation is just aimed at producers of porn, and their hosting companies.

How about just printing out large posters of Melania Trump posing nude with that other woman and displaying them in court?

It's pretty wild that they are going to try and criminalize all porn and adult content in one go, (down to things like Game of Thrones) - I figured we would have gotten a nation-wide version of the Texas age ID bill where people had to present their IDs in some form to view porn/get put on a government list first.

But nope, going right for the sources.

I'm convinced most of these guys are so anti-porn because they've been burned by being poor lays and/or they are terrified of how they compare to guys who know how to fuck and girls who know how get off, and what it feels like to get off.

A deeply rooted self-loathing is pretty core to the GOP platform.

Congressional Republicans will introduce legislation Thursday that would severely crack down on internet pornography and potentially deal a major blow to the online porn industry.

Republican Utah Sen. Mike Lee and Republican Illinois Rep. Mary Miller’s Interstate Obscenity Definition Act would create a national definition of obscenity under the Communications Act of 1934 and amend the Supreme Court’s 1973 “Miller Test” for determining what qualifies as obscene, according to background on the bill exclusively obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation. The bill would pave the way for the prosecution of obscene content disseminated across state lines or from foreign countries and open the door to federal restrictions or bans regarding online porn

Maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention in civics class but isn't the First Amendment a check on the power of Congress? It says "Congress shall make no law" so why does "Based Mike Lee" think he can make a law that tells the Supreme Court how to define obscenity?

How would it be any different from a gun-grabbing blue state senator (let's say Kirsten Gillibrand of NY) pushing a law that says the meaning of "arms" in Second Amendment is limited to muskets? I'll hang up and listen.

Dumb question amnesty requested:

proton free-
Proton plus- Nominal amount per month

Is the free worth a shit if I am basically streaming baseball( fuck MLB!!!) and occasional pegging videos?  Before someone lights me up on the question about free, I have used a free ad blocker for years and it works like a charm.  Is it reckless to even consider the free one for VPN?

I would actually subscribe to MLB.com if the VPN works.

My VPN works fine for the porno, but MLB.com can identify most if not all the very popular VPNs.  If you use one of those, you will still be blocked.

Thats why I use Honest Vaclav VPN

Is safe! Not for crimes or to steal identities!

I got the proton plus because:

1) cheap

2) includes something like 10 different emails with more storage than I'll ever use. Also fuck google mail. With proton, some version of your actual name is probably still available as an email address. You don't have to have an email like "Iceemano1972xyz@proton.me" as your email. You can probably just be IcemanSmith@proton.me. For example, I use my actual first name, middle initial, last name as one of mine.  I  also have  firstnamespam@proton.me for ordering crap online and they want an email.

3) the country/location that the server is located in is randomly chosen. It does every now and then pick a server in Texas, but you can just tell it to pick another. With the free version, you are limited on how often you can do this.

4) Backed up by Swiss privacy laws. (Full disclosure, I have no idea what this means).

Not sure about MLB.com. Try the free one. If it doesn't work for MLB, then the paid one probably won't work either.

Works fine for pron.

I have multiple friends who use VPNs to get "in-market" MLB games and they don't get blocked.  They are still subscribing to MLB.com,  it's just using the VPN to gain access to teams they want to watch.

Apropos VPNs

https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2025/05/vpn-firm-says-it-didnt-know-customers-had-lifetime-subscriptions-cancels-them/

The new owners of VPN provider VPNSecure have drawn ire after canceling lifetime subscriptions. The owners told customers that they didn’t know about the lifetime subscriptions when they bought VPNSecure, and they cannot honor the purchases.

In March, complaints started appearing online about lifetime subscriptions to VPNSecure no longer working.

The first public response Ars Technica found came on April 28, when lifetime subscription holders reported receiving an email from the VPN provider saying:

To continue providing a secure and high-quality experience for all users, Lifetime Deal accounts have now been deactivated as of April 28th, 2025.

A copy of the email from “The VPN Secure Team” and posted on Reddit notes that VPNSecure had previously deactivated accounts with lifetime subscriptions that it said hadn’t been used in “over 6 months.” The message noted that VPNSecure was acquired in 2023, “including the technology, domain, and customer database—but not the liabilities.” The email continues:

Unfortunately, the previous owner did not disclose that thousands of Lifetime Deals (LTDs) had been sold through platforms like StackSocial.

We discovered this only months later—when a large portion of our resources were strained by these LTD accounts and high support volume from users, who through part of the database, provided no sustaining income to help us improve and maintain the service.

I'm sure there will be a super special carve-out for "social media" where x% of your content is non-pornography.

And that X will be whatever BS percentage Elon fakes and tells Mike Lee.

I’m not sure how a lack of due diligence in the acquiring company’s behalf means they can shut off your shit without some sort of compensation.

America, 2025....

Not obscene, and must be permitted and protected at all costs: characterizing brown people as vermin, claiming they are "poisoning the blood of our country," saying they should be exterminated, etc.  Arresting and imprisoning someone for writing an op-ed.  Shit like that.

Obscene, and must be banned: pictures of tits.

Yeah....we're a shithole country.

What if we started a porn company where every photo and every video showed guns.  Everything from a little .38 up to .50. All of our videos take place in and around gun stores, hunting stands, firing ranges, etc.

And then when they try to block us or shut us down, we go out there and say Mike Lee doesn't like guns.

All of that and it's an attack on the LBGTQ crowd, and it's another step towards an attempt at regulating the internet.

Remember, the Speaker of the House and his 17-year-old son are each other's porn accountability buddies.

These people are weird as fuck.
