Can they sprinkle in some birther bullshit & claim she's not eligible?

They're working their ass off on it as we speak.  Trouble for them is she was born in a run-of-the-mill big city hospital at the end of the baby boom which kept just as good of records as any other like it.  Not the fucking Marshall Islands or USVI or on her mom's trip back to India or some shit.

Mom was born in India.  Dad was born in Jamaica.  Met in academia and moved around, to coastal elite liberal bastions like Urbana-Champaign, IL.  So yes, her mother was an immigrant from across an ocean but she was born on U.S. soil-just like Don, Jr., Ivanka, Eric, and Baron.

if you haven't donated, do it

where? I gave directly to Biden/Harris before - is that prudent now?

Not now. Not ever.

Sorry.

man, I kinda get this. and if they get rid of Citizen's United then we can all be relieved of this nonsense. but if ever there were a time to donate, even $5, the time would be now. you're not going to hate yourself for it, I can promise.

Oh, they're going to do everything they can to block her from being the nominee.  They will suddenly, and ironically, care about the results of an election being sacred.

And they're going to demand that Biden resign the Presidency.  If he's unfit to run, he's unfit to serve, etc.

It's about to get so much messier.

Let them flail about in a panic. LBJ did the same thing and served out his term. I guess they can do some quick work and finally try to impeach him.

But not Ivana or Melania, both of whom were born and raised in communist countries. Oh and Donald’s mother didn’t get here until 1930.

Joe Biden is now a President with total immunity and legal protections for official presidential actions as granted to him by the Supreme Court — and unencumbered without the electoral concerns of seeking re-election.

Gretchen is only 52.  Michigan Governors are term limited to 8 total years.  She's almost done with 6 of them.  Not my own bullshit, but there's not going to be two women on a ticket.  I don't make the rules.  So she could be an heir apparent at 60 when Kamala terms out.  Between 2026-2032, Gretchen can take on a prominent cabinet role and rise to top of ticket in 2032.  She is eligible for a federal judiciary appointment by Harris, but we rarely draft candidates directly from the bench because their stances on most issues is clearly delineated and they can't pull some "Well, I never said quite that."  (Ma'am, I'd reading straight from your concurring opinion, verbatim).

If Harris loses though, Gretchen will be at the top of the list in 2028.

Trump says Harris is easier to beat. Yet they wanted Biden to stay in. Hmmm

Whitmer said nah.

Huge Whitmer fan here, but she did the right thing.

Harris is the best bet right now.

I think it would be good to have a vote at the convention, even if only for show, but she's clearly the heavy favorite.

So, who's your favorite as a running mate?  I'm thinking Cooper makes the most sense given his experience, his race, his gender, and his age... he could be to Kamala what Biden was to Obama.

Buttigeg would offer more protection, if you know what I'm saying.

Trump getting beat down by a black woman is a wet dream. But you know what also will make me happy when she wins? That Alan Lictman asshole being wrong.

When they start arguing process, they know they’re in trouble. They’ve run the past year that Biden is senile and is unfit for office. Now that is off the table.
