The part with Musk was weird as fuck, he's clearly subservient to Trump in a fanboi way, and it was uncomfortable, and later on Trump went on and on about how kids will want to grow up and be like Musk.  I guess maybe they don't want to have relationships with their children by multiple moms?

And I think Musk jumped multiple times, but the camera was pretty locked in, so there was a jump behind Trump, and then kind of one when he went off stage, so proud at having shook Trump's hand. Edit: he only jumped once, but kind of half jumped when going off the stage.

Oh, and Leon being edgy, he wore his Occupy Mars shirt, and had a custom "Make America Great Again" black letters on black material baseball cap, that he didn't seem to know how to wear (at least it wasn't backwards). I'm honestly surprised he didn't wear a red MAGA hat.

Edit:Will post the video in another post.  I just had some shitty screenshots from another site, and twitter excerpts.

Remember when MAGA used to say

The Howard Stern interview should be great.

Hillary did one a few years ago and some typical listener guys called in saying if they had any idea that's who she really was they would have voted for her.

Stern wanted Hillary to come on in 2016 and she didn't.   Howard still contends that her doing so would have made the difference.   Maybe, maybe not but it will help Kamala.

But also reinforces that they don’t need or want to kowtow to big national media when it comes to interviews (NYT especially). They don’t want to do anything but ask gotcha questions or talk about Trump the whole time, so she’s not giving them the time of day

Stern is a fantastic interviewer and a popular radio show. The View is friendly but hits the daytime TV crowd and 60 Minutes gets a lot of eyeballs

Colbert is great for the youths

Encouraging, but they'll finish construction on Hwy 46 and the HEB before this county flips.

For statewide races, you don’t need the red counties to flip. Just to narrow the gap so that the city vote erases the margin.

My Dad and Godfather got thrown in the Comal county jail in 1970. He would always tell me: “It might seem fun at the time, but don’t ever beat up a cop in Comal County.”

No matter how much this asshole has or how cool he believes himself to be, he'll always be just an awkward dork.

No, Elmo, red-pilling yourself with fashy Trump shit won't change that fact.

I said it what seems like a million pages ago, but the one thing we have going for us is these guys are all just really hopeless dorks. Every time they says something in public all I can think of is the scene from Road Trip where DJ Qualls goes "Because it's your dog! Get it?"

I am very happy Fox News cares so much about Tim Walz misstatements and they are calling him out on them.  I am sure they do the same to Donald Trump.  Oh that’s right, they let him lie with impunity over and over again on their network and instead of saying those are lies they just laugh and agree with him.  This channel should be taken off the air for the good of the country and fuck the free speech people (which I am one) but they literally are dumbing down the people in the US and hurting this country.  Literally, pull the plug and call it an executive order and let half the country bitch and moan.  Then take the people working at Fox News down to Guantanamo Bay and have them tell the truth about what they are knowingly doing.

In contrast to other hill country Germans, in 1861 Comal County voted to secede.

I guess “divorced from reality” doesn’t move the NYT’s needle.

I think the point was made upthread, but how often are there many instances of prominent people publicly going against their party for an election, especially a prominent one much less the presidency?

Common sense tells me that if this is happening, it must be an opinion that is held by quite a few and that will bear itself out at the ballot box. But we are America, so we can’t rely on common sense with these things. And I also see things like the fact that he won the nomination with ease and no effort, and that the polls do not reflect a Republican voting block that has a statistically significant break to Harris.

So what can we make of these opposing data points?

The voices you hear are likely to be educated.  You can see more every day what those people think of the right.

I totally understand that college isn’t for everyone, but there still needs to be some amount of history/literature type courses to foster critical thinking for people who go through the trade school route.

You should have to pass the same civics tests immigrants must pass every 4 years to get a voting card.

Yeah!  Or at least a basic literacy test.

If you grow up in a small town and at 5 years old forward are told Obama is a Muslim as if even if it were true that made him automatically a bad person- its hard for even facts or statistics to break them out of it.

Really takes them moving to a city and being exposed personally to people of all different backgrounds and cultures for the light bulb to go off. At least thats my thought growing up around rural MAGA.
