It's damned near impossible to keep the strippers and your toupee in the boat!

Garrett tends to have the day shift strippers on the boat, you know the ones with C section scars.

I forgot to mention, he is the guy who is still driving the Cadillac pickup, unironically.

It won't be.  It was never going to be.  And that has nothing to do with who the Dems run.

It has everything to do with how basically and essentially shitty we are as a country and society.

Liberal Jesus himself could run against Trump, and Trump would get 47% of the vote.

No minds will be changed.  All anyone can do is play the turnout game.

Of the 240 million Americans eligible to vote, the expectation is that only 160 million of us actually will.

Yeah a lot of surprised pickachu faces.

My neighbor down the street at my current place has this 40' Fountain, which I'm not sure he actually owns as I know his general situation, emblazoned with massive letters saying Trump Train. He has been strategically placing it all over town. Came by on water by my new house last weekend.

Not to thread jack: But walk me through the why of a $300K boat. Espcially one that doesn't have any sun cover (or at least minimal minimal for a center consol (that's what they are called right?).  That's a lot of cheese, man.

I read a piece a day or so ago about the anti-trans ads.

Given that they're playing them during football games, we all expect they're being targeted towards football dads. Unfortunately, they're surprisingly effective with suburban moms who are often motivated by a hyper-concern over safety issues.

So, now, those momma bears have to weigh their anger about abortion rights being stripped away against their precious babies being attacked by evil, child-molesting transpeople or, worse, being turned into one.

Even the spokesperson/head of the Human Rights Campaign (blue square bumper sticker with the yellow equals sign) whom they interviewed was concerned that they were having an effect.

Just completely trashing the largest city in a swing state, to their faces. It won't mean anything.

I mean, it probably won't to the people who would show up to watch him speak.

I have a friend that does heavy fundraising for the HRC, and to which I’ve contributed, but I’ve wondered if they’ve ever felt like conjoining the LGBQ rights with the T rights puts them on the wrong side of public opinion.  I realize that’s not their goal (it’s to shape public opinion), but it sounds like they are concerned about it, too.

Trump's pollster (Fabrizio) internals have him up 1 in MI/WI/PA/NC.  That is uh, not really good, since internals are usually 3-4 points more favorable towards you than they should be.

Looking at 538, there doesn't appear to be any Dem pollsters on swing states.  It's almost like Dems don't want to push optimistic polling.

Well you see, there's poor black people in Detroit and no one wants that in their community.

Kamala would win a landslide if she just called Amazon type companies etc pieces of shit towards their workers.

Saying we are gonna dominate militarily gets 0% on net average voters. Probably loses votes.

Halperin hosts a daily show with Sean Spicer and a Dem Strategist. Pretty interesting, and civil. He says he speaks to sources on both sides and they're both saying it’s moving Trump.

They also take direct questions/comments from people

Whole episode here from today.

Yes, we all understand that you are super butthurt about her military comments. You should repeat it three more times to make yourself feel better, though. Good luck.

There are plenty of LGB people who are super transphobic. Plenty of them don't think the T should be included in the acronym. Though to be sure, excluding trans people from the "main" queer umbrella would do irreparable damage to the trans community

Maybe I'm an idiot but there are apparently millions of Americans that believe in climate change, fair pay, quality education and healthcare for all Americans.

Kamala saying we are gonna have the most lethal military in the world and here's Dick Cheney is dumb. I'm still gonna vote for Kamala though obviously.

I was talking the movie, but the In the AIr Tonight scene in the first episode is maybe best 3 minutes and 48 seconds of TV you will ever watch. Also, the episode Out Where The Buses Don't Run is sick, especially the use of Brother's In Arms at the end.

7 swing states.  Harris, Walz, Swift, Barack, Michelle, Springsteen, and Joe Biden.  One of each should be in each state at all times between now and Election Day.

There's always a D pundit. Like I said, they take onscreen comments and questions from regular Joes. You should go on there and explain everything to everyone.

I liked the ending of Prodigal Son, and the use of Take Me Home. When Tubbs chooses going back to Miami with Crockett instead of more weird foot play.

In my entire life, there are a handful of scenes in a TV show or movie that I saw and realized "holy fuck, that is world-changing."  As in, this is going to have an impact on our culture, etc.  I remember watching that scene in episode 1 the night it aired, and realizing holy shit, I just watched something fucking incredible.  At school the next day, we were all talking about it.

Beyond the style, music, the wheel shot, it's the phone call in the middle. The incredibly human desire to have meant something end of it all, leading into the drum break.

Huge reason why Harris is not giving cable news, Sunday shows, NYT/WaPo the time of day.

It's all gotcha questions or they just want to talk about Trump.

Who gives a fuck what they want? Somebody asks you a question they get the answer they get. Harris and Democrats in general need to go make their own weather.

The "rage" comment is getting a workout right now.

For people who need allies not to be allies is the definition of irony and FAFO.

Teamsters union guy that has over 1 million Americans under him was on Theo's podcast

I think O'Brien is a dumbshit, but I can't disagree that there's a significant demographic of people who are completely put off with all politicians, to the point where they subconsciously shut it out of their lives, and many of them listen to Theo Von.

It sounds like an oxymoron but there's also a significant demographic of apolitical progressives who have totally given up on the Democratic party. They aren't keffiyeh-wearing students, they're working class men and women. I assume quite a few are Teamsters.

They're progressive in their policy positions, so they'll never support Trump.

But they don't hate or fear Trump enough to be swayed by campaign messaging that focuses on how bad he is. Whites because they (think they) have nothing to fear, and non-whites because they're simply checked out and conditioned to believe their voice doesn't matter because it's never mattered before.

I guarantee if you conducted a focus group with them, the strongest-performing ads would be the ads that play-up her progressive bona fides.

Fuck O'Brien, though. He's doing nobody any favors by flirting with Trump.
