Boban’s mom is Sandler’s Mom.
Stiller was great as were most of the golfers.

His daughters were Vienna and the AA narc chick. His wife was the ballet teacher  - she’s in almost all his movies and never plays his wife

Pretty sure the cast had a good time making the movie

Pretty sure that is the theme with all of Adam Sandler’s comedies. For all the hate Grown Ups 1 and 2 gets, who wouldn’t want to get paid to film a movie just hanging out with your buddies and getting to slap and hit them and make jokes about them and pretending to be married to Salma Hayek?

Is that not the American dream?

The scene where he gets paired with 3 randoms would have been better if JD had been included and done JD shit but was unrecognized as well. I think he was completely underutilized. They could have lost the nerdy guy and gone with the cute chick (when she did the split in the sand trap I lost it. I'll bet they left a sandy vag joke on the cutting room floor) and the big guy with the ‘fro.

I've had a shitty week, its raining so Im not on my boat, and the first 4 minutes are incredible. Realized he is punching Bob Barker in the video game, and threw his clubs away in a Trojan logoed golf bag.

I think Steve Busceme pissing into a mailbox ought to be the official surly .gif

Thank you people for indulging my weirdness.

Agreed. That scene could have been so much better. Had it moments though. Rewatching it already. The pro dinner scene may be my fav. Never in a million years would I think I like Bad Bunny anything, but he killed it!

Honestly I never imagined Xander with a sense of humor. Totally changed my perception.

I can see tour events where people randomly spout “that's what she said” and “I think I have a fork in my ass!” to him incessantly.

Not to mention Zalatoris being called “Blondie”

I'll admit to fetish for Charlie Hull. “You fine assed British redneck”

I wonder how many people are gonna invite Nelly Korda or Nancy Lopez to “Lunch? Benihana?”

Think im with big Frank on this one

finished it this morning, thought the last 30 min was more entertaining than the first 90. but yea the jokes in this one won't be repeated at all 30 years later like the original still can.

this innocent little scene although small might be my favorite HG scene in the entire movie. HG2 didnt have any small moments like this that just flowed with the movie.

You will definitely be in the minority here. The first half was amazing. The second half was meh.

I agree. Everyone still says the occasional one liners on the golf course from the original. But there won’t be any from 2

the Zalatoris looking like Gilmore caddy thing was a deal on the PGA tour when Zalatoris broke out 2022.

I kept expecting a Woods cameo.  strange he's not in it.  He could have been a courtesy driver....

"It was awful" like wtf did yall expect. I'm sure yalls grandpa said the same thing about the original you old fucks.

I was thinking about this yesterday. The first movie is really stupid and cheesy and we all love it because it came out in the 90s when most of us were still kids or teenagers. The sequel is really just more of the same with more cameos and (like @SizzleChest pointed out) a way over the top satire of LIV.

Coincidentally, I had just watched Oppenheimer again the day before and couldn't stop giggling at the contrast between Benny Safdie's characters in both movies.

I enjoyed it.  Laughed multiple times.

I started it last night and made it about halfway...will finish it up today. It's not a masterpiece but yeah if you can't chuckle at least on some of this shit then you need to loosen up

It was an absolutely acceptable “turn your brain off, laugh and Leo point at all the cameo” type of movies. Not everything has to be award worthy. You’re mostly right, it’s being compared to a movie from when we were all 30 years younger than we are now, when we were much different people in a much different world

Learn to laugh at things, folks. Not everything has to be critically broken down and analyzed.

I liked the movie, but I don’t think that someone not finding Happy Gilmore 2 to be funny means that they need to learn how to laugh, to loosen up, etc. Maybe they just don’t like it.
