Not expecting this to be an easy game at all here. I expect FL to play desperate coming out of a bye week and there is a lot of talent on that squad.

Always a rational take on here and the stars thread. Respect.

I think nearly any team can get 7-10 points from a variety of ways.  Nearly impossible these days to keep teams much lower.  It won’t because of our defense if a team scores more than 14.

Texas held 6 P2 teams to 14 or less last season.

So Circa's line for the game remains the same as the open line; -7

But the O/U has dropped from 47.5 to 42

The bitching in the game thread will be the same, regardless.

All I know is points will be at a premium on Saturday, especially if the rainy forecast plays a factor. If Texas is in the redzone and finds themselves at 4th and 2 (or longer) I will kick a *puppy each time Sark doesn't take the points.

Handing over the call sheet wasn’t something Napier considered during the bye, he said. However, Gators Onlinel earned — and Napier confirmed — that he asked staff members to send him their suggestions on what Florida could do better offensively

Some staff suggestions included which players should be targeted more, ways to run the ball better and how to get Lagway going in the passing game. One of them was taking shots down the field, and Napier acknowledged that he needs to call more deep balls.

I used to go outside and get my axe and start chopping whatever I could find. I would be covered in wood chips by the end of it, didn't care what was happening with the game at that point.

Just to be clear is Florida going to be playing desperate because they’re terrible or loose and breezy because they have nothing to lose (because they’re terrible)?

Isn't that kinda the whole point of having a staff?

Texas is going to fuck them up the ass because they're terrible.

Some of the Florida 247 posters can be entertaining. Here's another image from them:

Wasn't EDSBS a Florida site originally?

If we get good Arch, we roll.  We get bizzaro Arch, it will be ugly and in doubt til the end.

Florida is the embodiment of SDLSU before Robert Bucher Jr.   So relax, you're going to have a good time.

Well, yeah, it seems that your OL/Run Game Coordinator and WR/Passing Game Coordinator should have recommended 5-10 plays each game based on your opponent's base defense. Analysts should have broken down the opponent's tendencies based on down & distance, etc. Build up the game plan from there.

Today's analytical software should make this effort relatively easy.

so what are the chances the swamp is only 60-70% full due to bad weather and pure apathy?

With Texas's first visit to The Swamp since 1940? Unlikely

No need for prayer, even. Just realize you’re responding to a mad man. A desperate fool at the end of his pitiful rope.

Hoping the rain holds off for the game. I dont want to see a game where Baugh gets 25 carries and Lagway gets like 10 throws due to weather.

None unless lightning. This isn't some slap-dick school its Florida at the swamp. Some of you need to pull your heads out of your asses. DKR at peak bad was still 80%+ full and we have the most fairweather fans imaginable.

Yes, CDC is spending his days micromanaging Sark's 4th down play calling.  Great use of his time, maybe later he will sit down with Vic and talk about how his bully ball offense will never win a title.

or Schloss' pitch selection strategy.   what I do hope he is doing is interviewing soccer coaches.

I saw CDC walking Town Lake this morning. Could have sworn I heard him telling Sark that FG weren’t a sign of weakness and that it was ok to not run same play 3x in a row from 1 yd line.

I could be mistaken though as he was walking at a good clip.
