I propose we go buy Canada (they're our 51st state anyway, right?) and the Congo (it's poorly managed). I hear they've both got lots of mineral resources too.

All of our money should go to Board Walk and Park Place and putting a hotel on Boardwalk. One unlucky roll of the dice for the world and we're in the money.

Mette Frederiksen, the Prime Minister of Denmark has reportedly expressed an interest in buying the Russian controlled territory of the United States of America.

Rich in natural resources and fuckwits the territory covers almost 10 million square kilometers and is said to contain huge oil and gas reserves and the largest number of fatties on the planet.

Man, this goes back a few pages to something  that sort of got glossed over, which was the Trump EO to forgive the student loan debt of 25,000 disabled veterans. That's both a good move, and an example of Trump's "win at all cost" Machiavellian thing.

When Warren (or whoever) is up there on a debate stage with him talking about student loan forgiveness, Trump can say "well, guess what, I just did that for 25,000 disabled vets!" (cue applause). Nobody on the right and very few of the uneducated Rust Belt swing voters seem to be in favor of student loan forgiveness for people like teachers (what with the anti-intellect movement), Californians ("liberal arts degrees lol!"), technology employees ("they took arrre jobs!"), etc. But disabled veterans is a can't-miss.

He's both diluting Warren or Bernie or Joe's (if he wins and inevitably co-opts it) message and simultaneously creating a delineation with those uneducated white poor swing voters. He's saying "I'm not going to take care of teachers or liberals or people richer than you, but I am just as much for the people as Warren".

Of course if he gave a shit about the country, he'd at least extend that to public service workers like teachers, nurses, etc. But he doesn't and he won't. Purely a cynical, calculated political move. I hate him, but props to whoever came up with that. They know where they need to win to stay in power.

Anyone seen speculation on a price for Greenland? Considering the strategic value and potential natural resources, I'd have to think it would be yuge. Like tree fiddy billion.

One thing allegedly floated was the US take over what Denmark pays each year in assistance to Greenland ($600 million) + some undisclosed one-time payment to Denmark as a gift.

Any of the candidates in Congress could immediately go on a major offensive to give a tax credit in the amount of student loan interest paid.   First step and who would be against?

he's been hanging out in the low 40's (maybe peaked at 43 or so) and that was with the strong economy baked in.  there was speculation several weeks ago, that if the economy started to lose steam at all, his numbers would get into the 30's pretty quickly.

we're there.

^ History of his approval ratings from that poll. It's sinking, but not quite back to levels before the tax cut.

Image result for bold strategy cotton

Trump takes the podium after endorsing his 2024 candidacy and spots a couple POC in the mostly white crowd.  “I’m thrilled to be here among you to support Cotton for President. And you two - so happy that you’re picking Cotton as well.”

I'm not convinced that Tom Cotton knows his ass from a hole in the ground.

He does but he has an addiction: he has convinced himself that he absolutely needs to be absolutely wrong about absolutely everything he says.

A bunch of them will still vote for him when they get all good and scared of "socialism" "the far left" and "invaders" by "caravan." He may suck, but did you hear that Elizabeth Warren wants to seize your bank account to pay off student loans of imprisoned MS-13 members?

His idea of gun control is to talk to the nra about it. "I had a wonderful conversation with the nra, beautiful things are happening. I cant go into detail, but you remember how we child proofed lighters? So tremendous things are happening. Little Suzzy and her pink rifle will not be felons"

He literally doesn't work, right? I mean he tweets all frickin' day long. If he's not tweeting, he's having a campaign rally. And I bet he stopped giving his salary away too. Plus, he promotes policies for immediate gratification to his base and winning reelection, knowing full well the fall out for those policies will come when he's out of office and someone else will be blamed for them and have to deal with them. Damn, what a mess.

Man I missed this somehow. Yesterday might have been the most bonkers day of his entire administration.  He compared himself to Jesus, wondering why American Jews didn't love him/Jesus, called them disloyal, then finished the day by promoting the asshole who introduced the American public to The Protocols of the Elders of Zion.  Simply incredible.

And yet strangely quiet today.  Must be all tuckered out.

He is consistently tweeting negative comments towards our allies, Germany being one of the latest in his line of sight. Is this more of his (or someone in his administration) isolationist policy to pi** off those nations?
Policy!

Ha ha holy shit I'm laughing.

Yeah this fool has clear well thought out policy and a plan of attack to implement.

I fucking hate when the media tries to analyze his insane ramblings. "What do you think Trump is really trying to say here?"

This.  He's a fucking buffoon with a reptile brain.  There is no plan.  It's moment to moment at all times.  Stop trying to pretend he's a real president or even a rational human being.

Not all heroes wear capes!

Another tactic would be for liberals to start showing up to these rallies en masse and laughing at (not with) Trump.  Just mock the shit out of him.  Laugh when he wants applause.  Boo when he’s going for laughs. Etc. Respond to him as the fool that he is.  It’ll either piss him off and drain his energy or it will cause him to adjust and start pitching ideas the Left would applaud.

He is in Kentucky for the Vet's conference. Probably staying over and conferring with #MoscowMitch on what Vlad the Unshirtable would like them to do next.

Gosh, I love the Guardian, they are so cheeky. This is from their article about yesterday's presser:

Quote

What followed might have swept away all previous Trumpian benchmarks for incoherence, self-aggrandizement, prevarication and rancor in a presidency that has seemed before to veer loosely along the rails of reason but may never have come quite so close to spectacularly jumping the tracks.

More:

Quote

Leaving aside those who were left merely gape-jawed, the performance inspired reactions from new expressions of doubt about Trump’s fitness for office to evocations of “the last president I know of who compared himself to the Messiah”.

Quote

Trump then embarked on an increasingly breakneck tour through the hills and valleys of a personal political landscape whose map, if it existed, was private to him, although his route was provisionally signposted by questions shouted by the media.

Here is the entire article if you haven't read it:

Okay, okay, I get it. It is just so hard to look at this man who is the leader of our country and not feel like, "Really? This is it? The end of 200 plus years of democracy culminates with an orangutan and a turtle accompanied by snakes, wolves, and rats?" Disney couldn't make this sh*t up.

Rome lasted 400 years after Nero.
