It’s posted every.single.time it rains.  
Do you have a more accurate description of that sound?
It will henceforth be known as "Chet Steadman's mom pissing on a flat rock". Let it be known.

TRAVIS AND BURNET COUNTIES UNTIL 430 PM CDT...

At 332 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Watson to near Bertram to near Granite
Shoals. Movement was east at 20 mph.

Half inch hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Burnet, Marble Falls, Bertram,
Serenada, Leander, Lago Vista, Granite Shoals, Horseshoe Bay,
Meadowlakes, Liberty Hill, Jarrell, Florence, Weir, Inks Lake State
Park, Georgetown Dam, Watson and Lake Victor.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Thanks for the heads-up, looks like this will likely hit me in the CP and I had no idea any rain was expected at all today.  Last time I checked a couple days ago, seemed like it was expected to be sunny, hot, and dry all week long.

Ugh, I’m in Belton near the lake and the damn thing has been stalled about a mile west of me for the last several minutes. C’mon, daddy needs a new pair of shoes (that a lighter water bill may provide).

It's here.  Lots of lightning and thunder, and fairly heavy rainfall for the past 10 minutes.  Sure hope it lasts a while.  Even if not, it's a welcome break from the heat of course.
