Lauren Boobert - Tits and a Gun

I think what she did by playing that voice mail was a good response.  However I bet the house that someone will claim that that was scripted and staged, that it wasn't authentic.  But each of these little things keeps adding up, and more and more people are getting fed up.  I never sent any monetary support to a campaign before the Beto senate run.   And I sure never sent any out of state, but I have now and others here are contributing likewise.   So people are getting tired of their idiocy and beginning to understand that races all over the country can affect the bottom line, particularly thanks to Joe and Krysten.

I don't know the answer other than say that is false, here is why it's false and then start talking about how a legislator has responsibility to their constituents that goes beyond being a blowhard ineffective mouthpiece.   Anyone can do that, and if her constituents are happy with the fact that all she does is talk tough but not only isn't delivering, but is actually making her district a pariah for sending someone like her.

Of course they wouldn't understand it, and it would just make them double down, pride and all.

But he is right as far as not getting in the slop with them, they and their stans are comfortable there.

Maybe put together a montage of her using the same jokes several times and bring into doubt that it ever actually happened.  And if she just makes this stuff up, what else does she make up for a vote or a laugh?

I'm not a big Carville fan either, but he has part of the answer, but not all of it here.

Same. It’s going to be very telling in 2022 with regards to turnout. I fear Dotard was the main factor on both sides and without him around a lot of people have stopped paying attention again.

I know my attention has been elsewhere, but I still try and keep up. I’m sure a lot of people have completely checked out.

This dumb bitch probably thinks the debt ceiling is the roof over a bank.

The good news is she's trying to wage war on "fake Republicans".

Republicans fighting one another these days..

The Simpsons Beer GIF

The more purity tests that Boebert and her little cabal come up with, the better.

Really hopes she and MTG starts waging war on Dan Crenshaw.

Lauren is a good Christian.  She knows what gifts the wisemen brought, okay Socialist AOC?  They brought Frankie Cents, which was a common crypto currency of Bethlehem in the day.  They brought Murr, which is short for murder which is pretty much all assault rifles like the ones her sons are holding are good for.  Unless feral hogs are suddenly a problem in the fucking Rocky Mountains.  And Gold, which is actually a really nice gift no matter the era or denomination, so kudos there.

Boebert's not a Christian soldier in the original sense of the meaning. Soldiers in the sense of being hardened, the thick skin of one who will face suffering (if we suffer, we shall also reign with him) and perhaps death as Paul in his letter to Timothy is facing his own execution (from which comes the lyrics of the hyym, Onward Christian Soldiers).

I find it so sad that we pervert words that should inspire us to good and Paul's letter to Timothy about just that, to pursue faith, love, and peace; to avoid quarrelsome words, to follow the word of God-his commandment, his 'orders' if you will-like a good soldier.

Same as it ever was, forever and ever amen.

And how did Paul write a letter to the Galatians?  I mean, how do you write a letter to a whole nation of people back in those days?

It's like Jimmyjazz writing a letter to a whole land of people.

And now a reading from Jimmyjazz's letter to the Mississippians..."Dear Brothers and Sisters in Starkville.  Stop touching your brothers and sisters, the Lord our God commands it!"

FUCK Carville.

And ignoring these idiotic culture wars is a losing strategy.  Ignoring them is conceding them.  Democrats have to fight and win them or we allow these idiots to control the narrative and win the “argument” by default.

Counterpoint:  Man....I bet Carville would be entertaining as shit to get drunk with.

You got it all wrong.  They brought Bitcoin, 7.62 rounds and Maga hats.  Wise men, indeed!

If you know anything about how D.C. works, you'd know that mid-level staffers are the most important people you can know on Capitol Hill, particularly those that serve as committee liaisons.  Never bother with an intern, summer staffer, or junior staffer called to D.C. from the home office because Dad cut a big check to the Congressman.  The Chief of Staff is likely to be even more cagey that the Congressman himself.  But if you can get to Legislative Director, General Counsel, Comms. Director, et. al.---they can make shit happen and they listen well.  Because they listen well and because they serve as a buffer to CoS/Elected Official, they often hear all kinds of shit from around the Capitol that never makes it up the foodchain.  They are the ones that hear from her staff about how truly fucking insane Boebert is, and they can horsetrade on that.  I'd wager these 400 staffers know a lot more about Boebert than Boebert knows about herself.

AEI trains GOP staffers how to work this system just as TPPF does here in Austin for GOP staffers at our Capitol.  It's a fascinating art to watch play out.  And it can create a lot of casualties in its wake.

Lauren's cardinal sin isn't that she's stupid or easily manipulated or about to be stripped of committee power.  It's that she's not raising money.  Her shenanigans would be palatable for McCarthy & Co. if she was raking in cash, but she's not.  Other than some dedicated morons sending in bare minimum donations, she's not moving the needle.  And so her brand of crazy ain't worth it.  And he staffers know that.  So they're selling out stories on her to get attached to another office.

Idiot world

I guess she's never heard of a consent agenda - stuff already worked out by city councils all across America, but by rule have to be voted on anyway.

She's always speaking to people.  Are these fund raisers or town halls or what?

All I'm saying is that a petition from staff on any partisan issue would not be that difficult to put together, but thanks for the hissy fit about it.

Why is the moronic stuff she does partisan?  Anyone with a brain should want to get rid of her.

Yes she sucks but having 400 dem staffers complain about anything a republican does is not a heavy lift. How would you feel about 400 republican staffers complaining about Eric Swalwell? If your response would be anything other than "who cares?" then something is wrong with you.

Depends on why they complained about him. If it’s “we don’t agree with how he votes on stuff,” probably not a needle-mover. If it’s “he’s competently fucking insane, traffics in batshit lies, and openly threatens and attacks other members based o their ethnicity and/or faith,” then maybe a bit more interesting.
