I was at UT in the mid 80s and have lived in Austin ever since.  I not only haven't ever been to Kyle Field, I made a point of it to never even go to or drive through B/CS.  That is until my son had a HS soccer tournament there.  That was unfortunate.  Then, I had to go back to get my first (very early) covid shot because getting one in the Austin area was a near impossibility.

I feel I'm done with that place.  What a shithole.

Yeah, that's me.  Never been.  Never been in B/CS and always said I'm not going.  Part of me is morbidly curious to see what its like but probably just validate everything I've always known to be true about aggy.

He did the impossible.  He wrote an article without mentioning Texas.

the laws of physics and spacetime prevented it

it's an article about aggy having to play 2 sec road games back to back and the wailing and lamentation of their women

he can't mention Texas because.....  TEXAS ALSO PLAYS 2 SEC ROAD GAMES BACK TO BACK

this HERCULEAN TASK of 2 road games, combined with no FCS opponent, a trip to the shoe on opening day with no warmup, and the first 4 league games away from home, equates to a schedule ranked 13th

conversely...

aggy get 2 warmups before their trip to south bend, open league play with 3 in a row at home, and have a bye week and a fcs opponent in november

BUT WWWWWWAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! they have to travel to fayettenam!!!!!!!!

well, maybe if they hadn't been such bitches about having the first UT game at pyle, snakey would have fixed this for them too

we're 13th, they're 8th

For aggy and FCS teams, yes.

As are home games.

Can we just rename this the aggy dffect for clarity.    And I have asked someone if they were using the Dunning-Kruger methodology before after receiving their brilliant insight.
"The Dunning–Kruger effect is defined as the tendency of people with low ability in a specific area to give overly positive assessments of this ability.[2][3][4] This is often seen as a cognitive bias, i.e. as a systematic tendency to engage in erroneous forms of thinking and judging.[5][6][7] In the case of the Dunning–Kruger effect, this applies mainly to people with low skill in a specific area trying to evaluate their competence within this area. The systematic error concerns their tendency to greatly overestimate their competence, i.e. to see themselves as more skilled than they are."

aggy = Dunning-Kroger effect

aggy will now have to confront the reality of over-selling pyle capacity 30000 students

Imagine being such a shitty university that you consider drawing tickets for games to be a "tradition."

We drew for tickets. I don't remember anyone waxing poetic about it or thinking it was super cool. It mostly sucked. It was a necessary evil. Of course we didn't trademark a name like "Ticket Pull" for it.

Let's go to "Ticket Pull" before we go to "Bonfire." We can stop to "Take a Shit" and load up on "Alcoholic Beverages," then hope we can get some "Girls" to hang out with us at "Bonfire." If not, we'll have to resort to "Gloryholes" or "Sheep," like usual. There's gonna be a "Hot Time" in the "Old Town" "Tonight."

After I got out of grad school I worked at UT for 6 years doing research.  I kept my student athletics pass (now "The Big Ticket") up to date, and would go to every home game, and some OU games.  I'd have to drive to campus from Pickle (then Balcones) Research Center to get in line, and pretty much never told anyone I was bailing for a couple of hours.

One year a local news outlet came to film the long line for OU tickets.  Guess who they caught on camera?  I launched the 6 o'clock news that night.  The boss was half pissed and half amused.  I avoided a firing, though.

Uh , I don’t know if aggy loses this one as much as it pains me to say it.  It depends on how many key players at USC decide to opt out in the next few days for one.   They were 6-6 and a score away in a couple of games from being 5-7 or 4-8.

Well, don’t they have a dozen or so guys in the portal and some of the best talent on the defense is headed to the draft and probably won’t suit up for that.

That play is pretty amazing. The middle of their line gets a bit of a push, but they blocked nobody on either edge. Even if Ethan somehow hesitates, but why would he because there is nobody on his side, the right side of our DL would have blown that up. Burke just had a kill shot and he didn’t miss. Their middle guys fired off though. Poor play design to say the least.

Editing to add more. If they run a 1990’s style fullback dive, they probably score. QB sneak scores. Anything at the A gap that is quick. If they gave it to 82 on a trap, he might have scored, but instead he goes over there and blocks nobody. Love to see it.

Last thing.

It kind of (maybe) looks like the design of the play is to hand it off, have the edges crash down and then bounce it to right side using 82 as a seal block on the right. But then you absolutely have to give some hesitation to Ethan if that’s the case. Motion a guy his way and then make him block, I dunno. Can’t let him just take the handoff from your own QB 5 yards in the backfield.

Again, I love it. Surly can coach better than Elko.

I drove up there twice for regional high school volleyball playoffs. There are a lot more people there. A lot. Seems like it's 3 times as big. And yet it's still a shithole.

I was at that game too. I still contend that that pussy ass motherfucker Mack Brown threw that game to garner a feel good story for those worthless fucks.

A&M is going to be really bad next year based on their roster. It's quite possible OU and A&M have both hired their Charlie Strongs at the same time (OU has with 100% certainty, they are dumpster fire right now). I'm not convinced Elko is that bad of a hire (maybe closer to a Herman), but things aren't looking great at any position of importance. Fortunately for them their schedule is very manageable next year (especially if LSU continues to be mid), so they might grab another 8 win season.

Bingo!    At least some at OU are surrendering to the fact Burnt Vegetables is on the bubble big time next year.

But we know from Charlie and Tom this is what happens when you let the media spin about which up and coming coach deserves his shot with a blur blood program.  Sometimes they work, but most of the time they are underwhelming.

This if the defensive formation Texas should have been in on the last play of the game against Georgia, in the SEC Championship Game.

After the Barron interception they were afraid to let Stockton throw down field other than dinks. The only thing they did was a quarterback draw, which wasn't stopped either.

I won't go as far to say the Mack theew the game, but his talking points and attitude sure as FUCK wasn't a coach that wanted to win. I have no clue about the variance between internal and external behavior from Mack but if it was anywhere close to the :These poor guys it's so sad I don't even want to beat them. They need a win" sort of temperament internally that's not going to get a team ready for a rivalry game at all. So..
