I had a Texas Wesleyan lawyer working for me when TAMU bought out the law school.  She wanted nothing to do with anything related to TAMU.  She still lists Texas Wesleyan on her LinkedIn (just checked).

Same with my dad. He graduated from Texas Wesleyan Law back in the day and when aggy bought them out, they reached out to him asking if he wanted a new degree with the Texas A&M name on it instead and he told them fuck no.

It would be funny watching BYU or Colorado push their shit in every year.

Why not both? ASU looks like they’ll spend money as well. Put them back in the Big XII and they’d still never win the conference. The annual loss to Tech would be fantastic to watch. The Pirate would definitely be swinging his sword in the afterlife every year after that game.

I hope they do join the against them all. Be fun to watch flying tortillas and batteries launched towards the gomers.

I'll rephrase for him: I know that your university only had the balls to join all the cheaters once the rules were changed and paying players - which all of us here in SEC land were already doing via bags under the table - became legal and the playing field was leveled.

You are categorically incorrect albeit amusing and factual. You made major multiple errors here in this logical walk through of aggie cult hive mind.

First, you actually presume any form of logic or reasoning can be applied to the aggie cult mythology.

Second, you make the error that aggie would view their "brothers" in the SEC as cheaters. They have, for far too long, simp worshiped the major teams in the SEC while at the same time delusionally believed they were "building rivalries" and becoming loved among the other institutions. Anyone outside aggie knows that is pure delusion, but they view it as facts. No sir, there is only one cheater and it is tu who paid the SEC off to join them and bag manned the powers that be to align the liberal gays in Austin with cake walk schedules.

Third you fail to recognize aggie logic and myth that tu was largely responsible for NIL coming into being. Sure tu had co-conspiritors like Ohio State, Oregon and other illuminati cheaters that are pay to win institutions, but to be sure, tu lead that charge.

Why did Texas lead that charge? Because prior they had lost all power and influence because tu can't win the normal way like aggie, the King Alabama, Amazing Georgia, impressive "rival" LSU and the rest of the nobility in the SEC. However, most importantly, to reassert dominance in the state of Texas, where tu had become a nothing burger, they needed access to play THE College sports program in the state of Texas which is, of course, aggie.

So, tu created and assured NIL, bribed their way into the SEC SEC SEC, then paid for weak schedules all to swindle their way back to being the major power in college sports in Texas.

This mythology and cult propaganda is brought to you by the hive mind, fake military, farm school college. You're welcome.

Not to mention their open campaign to preventTexas from joining the SEC because they were afraid of being Little Brother again.

To be fair, they were always Little Brother.  They had just wanted to be adopted by new Big Bros.

If it hadn't been for all the bribes the secsecsec would have stuck to their gentleman's agreement hand shake and left Texas out in the cold. No other reason the SEC would have let Texas in.

I think you mean Buford T. Justice.

They are the same side of the shitty coin. Had occasion to meet both, each carried the “I’m the bestest smartest jocksniffingest sports writer around” vibe.

also fat and ugly.

Isn't Richard Justice still there as well?

Justice left the Chronicle well over 10 years ago and I believe writes for MLB.com where he can spend more time defending Tony La Russa and the players from the steroid era.

No team can catch us on SEC championships this year. We’ll have the most SEC championships of any program in our first year in the SEC. Hahhahah

Texas has entered the SEC with a bang ... officially. The University of Texas has officially clinched the SEC All-Sports Trophy, given annually to the most successful athletic program in the conference in terms of overall success in both men’s and women’s sports.

Here's Dick Justice 's rant about not knowing what was going on despite being around the players every day for years. The buildup is kinda funny but he loses it at the end. There's no timestamp on that player just the total length

The way I heard it- the Texas powerbrokers, once NIL is established- “we have to decide if we want to compete or not. If we want to compete, we need to be in the SEC”.

It’s remarkable how aggy can turn a modicum amount of success in the shortened, mostly meaningless, asterisk of a 2020 season into a decade and a half setback.

Remarkable? More like predictable.

Texas was always going to have to switch either to the SEC or the B1G.  Once the disparity in projected league payouts hit $20M-$30M per year, staying in the B12 was just not a sustainable option.

Plus it had leadership that was very hostile to Texas, while Texas took all the blame for anything that happened, despite being one of the only 2 teams propping up the beggars

Great pull, that was one of the high points of Richard's time on the radio, especially with the manner in which Richard would defend La Russa and go on and on and on about how smart Tony was etc...

I always got a chuckle out of the "Best Academics in the SEC" part.  Uh . . . y'all take Blinndergarten "graduates".  Vandy's rejects go to Stanford.

Especially in Gainsville.  UF's academic reputation towers over A&M.
