$50 to fix a speeding ticket? You can’t be serious. Does that include court costs?

they charged $50 and courts cost was $125ish

they sent me flyer about 10 days after my ticket

my ticket was 100% a speed trap / set up

If the shooter had been a non-Hispanic white guy who shot a black kid, I think we would be hearing more from some that the shooting was somewhat justified.

Or a hate crime.  It's a toss up.

How can I fix a ticket here in MOCO?

First ticket I've had since I was 16.

It would definitely be a whole thing.  Protests and counterprotests.  Abbott and Trump talking about sending in the national guard.

1) Good. The guy shot an 11 year in the back that was running from his home.

2) The shooter and victim probably knew each other. Sounds like the kid lived up the street. Horrific to fire on somebody that could be some kid in your neighborhood.

i've had one situation where a person was banging away on the front door, he was trying to break it down. i called 911 and was set up inside to shoot if the door broke down. in my mind, no shots until the door failed or he entered the house (thank god I upgraded the door when the house was purchased).

smaller town = very quick pd response. turned out he was mentally off, got separated from his family or something. thought the house was his house. his family showed up shortly after. his dad offered to pay for a new door or any damage

im glad i never fired

These people rot their brains on Next Door/social media/cable news, believing everyone is coming to rob them, hurt them or kill them and they have delusional fantasies of defending themselves.  That's all I got for why you'd shoot a CHILD running away.

Man saw his chance to be the big hero / bad ass and took it.

Didn't we have a poster once who was salivating at the thought of shooting people on the BART?

I've lived in the same Houston neighborhood for ~20 years. There's been one murder here over that time. It was a mentally ill/challenged young adult who murdered his grandfather and by all accounts didn't understand what he was doing. Just around the corner from me. I wouldn't wanted to shoot the murderer if he was banging on my door but not sure I would want to wait until he was inside of my house to act.

At some point even someone unaware, of their actions, may face consequences of them. It can both be a tragedy and justifiable, at least in Texas.
