John Fetterman - saving America with sweatshirts and Umbros

Lol, well, I work from home, so me too, but when I have to go into the office, I dress like an adult

It all depends where one works, I suppose.  Our top engineer wears cargo shorts and t-shirts 7 days a week.  I'm a jeans and t-shirt guy.  If I worked in Congress, I'd probably go with jeans, leather loafers, and a long-sleeved dress shirt, maybe a sport coat, but that's as far as I'd push it.

I find the howler monkey brigade far more insulting than Fetterman's attire.

Clearly I give a shit, and it sucks for America that more people don't.

You're part of the problem if you excuse behavior by your "team" but condemn the other when they lack decorum.

You know both sides can be wrong at times, right?  And in this case the Dems are wrong, IMO.

Just because fatty is wrong on most everything, doesn't mean he's wrong this time.

Just to be clear, I'm not condemning the other team for performative cosmetics - I'm condemning them for blocking military promotions, for blocking Supreme Court nominations, for not allowing witness testimony at Trump's second impeachment, for cramming 2 SC justices through without reasonable diligence and a metric shit-ton of other indefensible behavior.  You know, shit that matters and would have been thought unconscionable a couple of decades ago.

Would it be nice if everyone continued to dress up real nice?  Sure.  It's not going to fool anyone that's paying attention, though.

I'm with you about the other stuff, but I don't see why one can't acknowledge the failings of Congress, specifically on the GQP side, while also recognizing that decorum matters.

Yes the "howler monkey brigade" as @jimmyjazz calls them, need to be called out and dealt with, but that doesn't excuse Fetterman's seeming lack of respect for the office.  If you don't want to dress appropriately for the job, then perhaps that job isn't for you.

Oh, and when Fatty is on your side, you know you're either wrong or old as fuck.

Forget the decorum of the senate. When you ask yourself, does Jimbo Fisher dress better than me, and the answer is absolutely, you have an issue.  It’s compounded if your also a fundie cosplaying an everyman. Then it just makes everyone sad.

I don't give a shit if Turtle shows up in an old man onesie. I couldn't possibly care less about the dress code. Decorum my ass. That died a long time ago.

Dick Cheney Could Not Be Prouder of That Time He Told Pat Leahy to “Go Fuck Himself” on the Senate Floor

This. If elected to the senate, I’d show up in a loin cloth, with “Fuck You” painted on my chest, and I’d proceed to shit on the desk of every other Senator.
A plan that would improve the decorum and dignity of the current senate by at least 50%.
You don’t wanna hear my plan if elected to the House. It involves shit that would make a German porn star blush.

Where can I contribute to your election campaign and will you be leaving poop bags in front of their office doors as well? If so I think this site is in for a cool tree fiddy.

honestly i might prefer if he didn't dress like Derka everyday in the senate, but i'm an old-school government nerd and still get choked up at the Lincoln Memorial and whatnot.

but i'm not gonna get worked up about it bc i also completely agree with everyone who has pointed out what a fucking dysfunctional clown show the senate has become and the many members there who have dishonored the institution way more than Fetterman's wardrobe.

anyways, Fetterman's basketball shorts got fatty to pos-rep a post agreeing that he's wrong on almost everything, so that's lol 😄

It's just so Demmy to worry about a politician's attire instead of the absolute havoc being wreaked by the other guys.  Never change.

Hey don’t lump us all together. I don’t give a shit. Just like Sinema’s stupid wigs

I think he should wear a suit personally. Hell, I think everyone should unless you are a construction worker. But while I disagree with his decision on attire he more than outweighs that with his other attributes.

Well "I think everyone should unless you are a construction worker" F that a thousand times over.  I'm sitting in my office wearing a shirt and shorts and I don't care.  I do agree he should at least step it up a bit for the Senate but I'm not going to lose my mind over it.  There are bigger issues at play in this country.  Then again, if he had worn a tan suit, we might have a Constitutional issue...

Hey, all good man. Free country and whatnot. Personally, I rarely go to dinner without a sports jacket because I'm not a 14 year old, but that is just my perspective.

I have a construction company myself, so my daily is pants and a shirt to my chagrin.

I live in Austin.  Can't remember the last time I saw someone wear a sports jacket to dinner.  Then again, I don't hang out in the Domain.

Why is your radical party and its members now claiming Fetterman is not a real person anymore and this is an actor?

Plus, have some fucking self respect.  It's like the god damn slobs who wear their fucking pajamas to the airport.

We've got full agreement here.  I can't even fly in shorts... too cold and I'm afraid stuff will fall out of my pants.

Quick aside here -- a questions for the brain-worm addled folks I see on social media running with this (for instance, the "collection" of nine Fetterman "look-alikes" that are supposedly being passed off/used as Fetterman stand-ins because he's "allegedly" dead or something, why go through with the charade. Doesn't the PA governor get to appoint a successor in the event it becomes necessary through either death, incapacitation or whatever? He'd appoint a Democrat so what's the point in pretending if Fetterman had died. This isn't Dave for chrissakes.

Talking with my buddy the history buff about the movie Midway, and he tells me that military intelligence chief (or whatever) was famous for dressing in non regulation attire. Looked like dressing robes and pjs. In the upper echelon of the US military. I get that people expect certain clothing for certain jobs. Spend your money, or your vote, where you like. I could give a fuck of your opinion on where I spend mine. But I won’t.

He's talking about Joseph Rochefort.  He wore robes over his uniform while spending days at a time in a bunker trying to break the Japanese code, so he gets a pass.

Fetterman hasn't done jack shit.
