They'll probably be a little more motivated against Bama in Tuscaloosa and that makes a fuckton of difference.

Human nature is part of college football, and Rice doesn't inspire anyone's best effort.

That's the difference between champions and pretenders. You have to be excited about kicking the everliving shit out of a team like Rice, or you won't win more than 9 games.

Payton Manning said half time adjustments are a myth. He said he never once in his entire football career at any level had "half time adjustments." He said every half time ever was the same thing, you go in, pee, eat some orange slices, then go back out and win the game.

what the fuck does he know, he doesn't even post on game threads

It’s not just mobility. Ewers is clueless about pressure and pocket presence. We need a QB that has some ability to feel pressure. Maybe that Maalik, maybe it’s not. But it certainly is not Ewers. He is simply not good enough to play QB here if we want to contend for anything

Ready to move on from Ewers. He isn't the guy if you want to get to the next level. He looked good before he got hurt against Bama and the OU game and that's about it.

They’ll play better against Alabama. Sark will scheme up some points early and get a lead, maybe even into half. The circle jerk will be on. However the offense will grind utopian a halt as Bama adjusts, Ewers will mentally melt down, and an admirable defensive performance will give way to getting gashed because Texas offense can’t stay on the field.

You've never seen national championship winners that needed miracle finishes against the worst team in their conference?

Dropped passes for TD’s

Ewers still can’t throw even a decent deep ball to save his life

Oline has played like they have zero fire and looks fat and soft up the middle

Bijan made these dudes look slightly above avg last ear, now we are seeing the true ability.

So many missed blocking assignments.

JT Sanders is easy getting knocked off his routes

I guess Baxter is hurt

Defense looks stingy but this is Rice.

33 and Bush still have no business being out there as starters.

Yeah, it's like people didn't watch last year. We kind of sucked in the 1st half against ULM too.

The bigger issue is playing up and down in games. That's not a recipe for consistent success.

Bama will win by 14+ if we have a similar effort level on the OL (and WR Mitchell style blocking on short yardage) .

Ewers is still processing too slowly... Sark has to change his playcalling to help him.

Holds fucking ball too long... quit forcing ball vertically and hit underneath stuff.

Ewers is throwing ball too fucking late.

Running game kinda sucks.

3rd down conversions suck

Red zone offense sucks

Well how about this for a halftime adjustment: Let’s see what the back up QB can do….

I called that on the OL this off-season and was shouted down.  Bijan made this OL better.

First fucking game of the motherfucking football season. It shouldn't matter if they're playing the little sisters of the blind school...if they can't get up for the home opener it's going to be a loooong season.

And then proceeded to kind of suck for the rest of the season (masked by outstanding RB play). That’s why people are pissed off.

Even passes that Ewers are completing aren’t hitting guys in stride, they’re having to go my e back to the ball. Still haven’t seen him throw a good pass in this game.

The drop by Brooks was a perfect pass. Ain’t saying much because it was under 10 yds, but it was as good as you can deliver.

Ewers is also as elusive as COVID (no CR). He scrambles like a cow on ice.

Y'all need to fuck off with the tOSU strawman. That program has issues as evidenced by whatever the fuck they put on the field against Michigan last season. The difference is that they will run Day out of town as soon as he wins less than 10 games and then they'll go right back to kicking ass for another 10 seasons.

We have been dogshit for 14 years now. We can't string a TD drive together at home against Rice. Partially because our head coach can't do something as basic as putting the right QB on the field.

We better pray Arch is the 2nd coming of Jesus and that he doesn't transfer. This Sark/Ewers grabass routine isn't going to cut it.

When your coach is having to dial it back and simplify the offense because the QB, that is a terrible thing and won't end well. Ewers needs to be on a short leash this season. I see zero improvement since last season. Just another high school "phenom" who isn't built for the next level.

you should, he went ice fucking cold in the 2nd half and got benched.

There were other circumstances surrounding that game.

He otherwise absolutely owned aggy during his career. Regularly picked on their "star" DB. I wish he played against OU the way he did against A&M.
