Somebody should look into that.

But not literally.  You don't want to look into his eyes.  He's got black eyes.  Like a doll's eyes. And when he eats ya, those eyes roll up into his head.  And that's when the screamin' starts . . . I'll never put  on a life jacket again.

It's all so hilarious, this double standard the right is putting out. Vance can say Trump is an opioid and be the death of the party yet that's not held against him. Walz makes one false statement that was more about being military ready for war and it's parsed to death as a means to say he "stole valor". Walz point was military weapons of war have no place in our society other than with the military to fight wars. This shouldn't be that hard of a concept when those weapons are tearing schoolchildren apart and making police so fearful that they will stand outside a school rather than risk going up against one.

Trump and "drill baby drill" as the solution to record energy prices . . . when the current price of oil is below where it was during at least 25% of the Trump administration.  (Pardon the MS Paint cartoon lines.)

He could have said "And we can make sure that those weapons of war that I carried, in war is the only place that those weapons are at."

is he fucking yoda? Nobody talks like that, that's not a real sentence structure. He just misspoke, it's no big deal. Don't take the bait, listen to his point instead of quibbling on whether or not he said he carried it in war.

I read he served alongside NATO troops and the people he deployed with were responsible for providing support in connection with some conflicts. I don't think he ever claimed to have taken enemy fire or been in the theater of battle, but I believe him when he says he used guns while deployed.

The man is a moron. Anyone in o/g or energy voting for Trump Vance is completely clueless ….

The Obama presidency + the advent of social media exposed just how dumb a sizeable population of America is.  Each year it seems to get more and more pronounced, and more and more depressing.

you know, just once I'd like to see someone from, like, Midland Texas be like "what the fuck do you mean the price of oil is going to go down??" How do MAGA losers in the oil industry square away when Trump talks about lowering the price at the pump? Also, during lockdown, weren't a lot of oil chuds pissed because gas was too cheap??

People garble clauses and sentence structure all the time.  I'm not taking any fucking bait.  We all get his over-arching point, Dad.

Yeah get those oil prices down so refineries shut down and the drill baby drill crowd gets laid off because they won't be drilling baby drilling.

I'm just going to observe that, even assuming that the necklace did cost $62,000, her husband was a fucking partner at DLA Piper.

Yeah--I think he can afford to buy his wife some nice bling.

Also this is pretty rich coming from a guy who worked as a VC for Peter Thiel and is estimated to have a net worth of at least $10M.

Would a necklace like that ever really depreciate in a "normal" economy?  I guess its value could fluctuate with the spot price of gold.  I doubt it would ever take a 20% hit like the average Volvo probably does once a new owner drives off the lot.

THose numbers can't be true, because if they are true, to me that would mean she's going to get 330 electoral votes.

yeah, I immediately discounted that tweet as garbage. No way she is leading baby  boomers  55-44. That's trumps sweet spot.

I am on day two of a road trip through west Texas. I have seen one current vintage* Trump sign in 600 miles, at a house in Balmorhea. I also saw a Harris sign in Marfa.

* I also saw a Trump Pence sign at an abandoned trailer park with “Pence” painted over and some flags in front of a pretty best looking flag store in Ft Davis, but they looked like they had been up for several years.

Anything could happen, but the campaign infrastructure and grass roots energy  just aren’t there right now.

I noticed it when the Monday after Thomas Crooks tried his best nobody at the office seemed to give as much of a shit as one would think

MAGA is so fucked. Two mile long line to get into today's Kamala rally.

Taylor Swift bumping over the P.A. A Beyoncé song as the campaign anthem. Meanwhile, Trump has Ted Nugent and Kid Rock.

My favorite part of this, a 60k necklace that Vance lists as "costing more than 2 months salary."

Completely fucking out of touch with most Americans.

I’m sure you were able to glean that he meant the VP salary specifically, but if your point was that much of his audience would not do so then I agree.

Not that it matters, but “two months salary” is pretty famously the rule of thumb for heirloom piece jewelry.

What is the Republican strategy at this point? Trump has essentially stopped campaigning at this point and they’ve got JV Vance out doing campaign speeches in the parking lot of a police precinct with more media than voters present. Meanwhile, Harris Walz is the hottest ticket of the summer. The complete flip of momentum is like nothing I’ve ever seen before. It’s like aggy going up big on UCLA and then choking it away when it matters.

yes, that was my point. That is a fun raising email to a bunch of rubes. You can spell out the math at the top, but do you think they really carried that all the way to the middle of the post?

The shitty black and white picture of Trump has to piss him off beyond belief.  They should continue doing that.

The better assumption is that the necklace was loaned to her for the photograph.

The allegation that she bought a very expensive necklace on the heels of the news that Trump allegedly took a $10M bribe from the president of Egypt toward the end of his 2016 campaign is a new level of impotent rage.  Really, just impotence.

Things I wonder—

If you think Biden has nazi ideas, you must surely then believe trunp has even harder nazi ideas—right?

How do you cheer for Black athletes at UT? Do you use the n-word? I’m going to guess that’s a yes.

@Pimphand is most definitely a hard R on his n-word.  And looks around for approval from others when he says it.
