Elon Musk: Officially a fraud and piece of shit. Official or unofficial war criminal?

Meh. I don't care if Elon stole Zip2 from IMC. Most business ideas are stolen, copied, borrowed from, whatever. This may shock some, but most ideas are not original. They take something, make it their own, and get to market.

At this point any sane board of directors would remove him as CEO.

A board full of buddies often with the ceo also serving as the chairman...it's the American (corporate governance) way

Elon Musk’s Tesla ‘Supercharger Diner And Drive-In Theater’ Coming To Route 66

Tesla is getting close to opening its first-ever entertainment-centric supercharging station—a 24-hour diner and drive-in theater in Los Angeles that will play famous movie clips on a big screen while drivers wait for their EVs to charge.

Elon Musk’s Tesla retro-futuristic supercharging station is being built on Santa Monica Boulevard, which is West Hollywood’s stretch of the historic Route 66. Last month, Musk, the co-founder and CEO of Tesla Motors, revealed some details of the charging station saying “Our Tesla futuristic diner (Grease meets The Jetsons with Supercharging) in LA should be ready later this year.”

I mean you can just fly back on your own dime. It’s half price air fare.

Can't I just take down a Australian flag and put up a US flag for return airfare?!?

I mean, that tracks right?

With his ten children and Supercharger Womb Room, I like how Elon is at least attempting to help his fanbois visualize what a uterus (and vagina) looks like even if it's not quite as accurate or as pleasurable as the real thing.

I would have been pissed if he was going to use Milliways branding and besmirch the good name of a magnificent restaurant, but it would be fitting since it feels like we are on the path to the end of the Tesla.

I’ve been reading a lot about this Supercharger team gutting;, all I can really say is that it makes zero sense at all. Of all the moves, this has to be the dumbest one. Their charging network was their strength. It set them apart from any and everyone. You can’t drive anywhere without seeing superchargers. It’s almost frustrating (primarily not seeing non-Tesla chargers).

But it was a thing he understood - if you make EVs you needed a way to charge them at places other than your house. They have the big lead, but if they aren’t working at it, that can shrink or be lost.

Ketamine is a hell of a drug.

somehow it gets even worse. what an idiot.

guy responsible for supercharging on the utility side: 100% of my Tesla contacts are gone. No one knows who to contact. 20 sites in limbo.

US OEMS are in shock. Germans are having board meetings about rolling back to CCS1. They don't even know who to call at Tesla. Trust in Tesla is lost.

One key advantage Tesla had over other charging companies is that they had people who knew the local regulators, who know how to deploy sites in their sleep.

Tesla is dumping their interns before they even show up, even though most/all had made travel and housing arrangements.

And the hits keep coming

https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/tesla-retreats-next-generation-gigacasting-manufacturing-process-2024-05-01/#:~:text=Tesla has been a leader,of hundreds of individual parts.

Quote

Tesla (TSLA.O), opens new tab has backed away from an ambitious plan for innovations in gigacasting, its pioneering manufacturing process, according to two sources familiar with the matter, in another sign that the electric-vehicle maker is retrenching amid falling sales and rising competition.

Tesla has been a leader in gigacasting, a cutting-edge technique that uses huge presses with thousands of tons of clamping pressure to die-cast large sections of the car’s underbody. On a typical vehicle, the underbody can consist of hundreds of individual parts.

This sound familiar

Quote

Last year, as Tesla developed a new small-vehicle platform, it aimed to punch out the underbody in a single piece, Reuters exclusively reported last September, citing five sources familiar with the automaker’s gigacasting operations. The long-term goal was to radically simplify manufacturing and slash costs.

But Tesla has since halted the effort, opting to stick with its more proven method of casting vehicle underbodies in three pieces: two gigacasted front and rear sections and a midsection made of aluminum and steel frames to store batteries, according to the two sources familiar with the matter. That is largely the same three-piece method the company has used for its last two new models, the Model Y crossover SUV and the Cybertruck pickup.

Musk hates Twitter.  He wants to destroy it.  These changes are just so weird, plus allowing back some of the people who had been banned (it wasn’t just Fuentes).

He apparently hates Telsa too and IS destroying it.

SpaceX is too important for the government. At least now dipshit knows better than to be a derisive dick there and fuck with that company. But the question is, when X and Tesla fails, will he resist the urge to be the smartest guy in the room at SpaceX?

What people don’t get is that the bits in Silicon Valley were the believable stories. Most people didn’t realize that the real stuff that happened was so far out there it was unbelievable.
