I love wasting my time on these boards, but the vile pieces of shit that are doing Trumpian bidding sure are making it easy to consider spending more time in contemplation and actual engagement in service on behalf of the least of our brothers.

Give it a few weeks when it actually hits them. They will all suffer and then try to make you feel sorry for them. It is astounding how many of them didn't read the doctrine and are now just taken aback. I read it and thought, I really really don't like it and it will effectively end America, but I will survive. I feel dumb trying to fight for those that will suffer only to have them call me stupid all while I was trying to help them. Sometimes you have to let your kids touch the stove.

Well, it's very responsible if you want to shrink the federal government.

Build Back (from the rubble) Better.

You can’t, the billionaires will own the rubble and the land it’s under.

Shrink it to what, specifically?

I think there are enough people who are going to suffer who voted the right way to keep all of us busy.

Me being a chalupa and my wife being a redhead, Loving doesn't apply, correct?

What does she look like?

I mean, if your marriage is annulled your surly brethren will be here to console her. We just need to know what she looks like …… to you know…. Be able to pick her out of a crowd.

Oh everyone will suffer. Myself included. I just don't give a shit anymore and I am a cockroach. I will be fine. I can abscond to a place none of this impacts me. I don't want to, I voted/donated several times to prevent it, you can only do so much. Suffering is the great equalizer.

Went to pick up my scrips earlier. The line of our Spanish speaking brethren nearly went out the door of the CVS.

My assumption is they're getting their scrips while they can.

There i am the giant guero in his black leather jacket ( I chose poorly but I need my scrips) I kept a smile on face and let the abuelas in front of me.

God damn this shit.

Fucke me. "Let" abuelas through.

That i even typed that is fucked up.

And it doesn't solve the real problem -- his minion ghouls will still be driving the policy bus.

@Wulaw Horn - sorry to pull you into a CR thread. Does this impact VA loans and applications in process?

I don’t think so, as I’ve got 2 scheduled to fund on Friday and no word directly about any problems with it, but it’s not that big a deal in all likelihood.

Your lender funds the loan and eventually sells them to the VA a day, a week or a month or 3 months down the road. However long it takes them to bundle it and get it done and scrubbed and signed off on/ but it’s a normal course of bundles for them, and the market isn’t exactly smoking hot right now (ha- understatement alert).

Now, if the freeze lasts too long the market could get illiquid I suppose, but I wouldn’t think that would happen for a good stretch of time.

btw I make the best breakfast tacos in travis county, every sat and sun mornings. with beautiful expensive eggs and my potatoes are like golden kisses of fluffy yumminess. my wife says it's one of my best traits. I think that's a good thing, I think?

I’m quite positive that it was fairly early in the morning when I came to your house. I’m very hurt I wasn’t offered any of said tacos

I have to admit, Leavitt was pretty impressive in her first press conference today.

If overly combative and flustered is impressive, then yes, she was impressive.

Flustered?  She had the most prepared and direct answer non-word salad breifing I've seen in a long time.

Curious to see the spin on the funding freeze. Fairly certain the entire state government here in Oklahoma is held together by federal grant money, Barry Switzer memorabilia sales, and Uncle Roscoe's crystal meth operation.

The rank-and-file were pretty distraught over it this afternoon. Can't wait for the talking points.

Party of small government.

That hasn't been true in Texas. The State government has been working to undermine local government authority for a long time.

So...what is going on with these funding freezes? I assume they will be halted in a few days and Trump will declare himself the hero. But I just don't understand why they happened.

He’s trying to take the power of the purse away from congress. If he succeeds, nothing else matters.
