Gee, and I thought this phenomenon was limited to the Biden Administration.

I'm sure WuLaw will be right on it.

nearly 500,000 in 7 months!

The U.S. economy added 2.23 million jobs in 2024.

Oh, and native-born workers have accounted for ALL job gains since January? Bull fucking shit.

,

Yea LOL at that.  It still would have been bullshit of course but they could have at least gone with "citizen workers" using native born means we are supposed to believe every single one of those bullshit jobs numbers that will be revised in a few months anyway went to people born on US soil.

I have no idea how they would even track that, because it plays no role whatsoever in how job counts are calculated.

My first job out of grad school was producing these numbers at https://texaslmi.com/ back in the late 90s, so I'm very familiar with the process. The BLS then takes these numbers and more-or-less republishes them. Of course, they do their own stuff in DC, but the topline figures we read in the papers come from each state’s workforce commission, as shown at the link.

Trump wants people to have less credit cards interest to pay when they lose their jobs. He thinks that low interest rates mean high stock markets. That is the basic understanding of his fight with Powell. Historically, we are no where near high interest rates and no one in the media can, or has the desire, to explain that to the American public. So he will get away with blaming everything on Powell despite it being about tariffs.

"Native born" is a nice compromise between "citizen" and "white".

He's not paying for anything.  We're paying for it.

If anything, he's getting kickbacks from some of the contractors, if not all of them.  Would love to see the budget for that project, as well as the list of final bidders awarded the jobs.

That last guy on the video states that the low numbers are excusable due to the confusion and reticence around the trade wars and tariffs.  They know what the causes are, but are too cowardly to step up and point fingers.

People should start asking their grandparents what the interest rate on their first mortgage was.

not that this is news, but Trump is such a chicken shit coward.

Worth repeating. He's only bold when he is untouchable. It would be such fun to be stuck in an elevator with him just to terrorize him without having to lay a finger on that sorry fuck. I used to fantasize about a moment like that with Rush Limbaugh. I was big and imposing back in the day.

I never fantasized it with Reagan because he would have kicked my ass and terrorized me. Still, he'd get scratched up.

Are you suggesting that the Executive Branch under Donald Trump would lie?

A buddy who is all-in on anti-Trump shit posted this about the Epstein/Trump real estate fiasco that led to their falling out. As reported, it might've been Epstein who pulled the plug on the relationship with Trump. This would've been in 2004, at least three years before Trump kicked him out of MAL.

Quote

Trump didn’t break up with Epstein; Epstein broke up with Trump.

Like every friend, associate, employee, or even family member, Epstein learned the hard way that with Trump, money always trumps loyalty.

Epstein had his eye on a Palm Beach mansion called Maison de L’Amitié, just blocks from Mar-a-Lago. Confident he was the highest bidder, he even brought Trump along to view the property and offer input, something you’d only do with a trusted friend.

But Trump, true to form, betrayed that trust. He went behind Epstein’s back and outbid him by several million dollars, purchasing the home himself in 2004 for $41.35 million. That was the end of their friendship, Epstein never forgave him.

Trump never even lived in the house. He left it mostly vacant for four years, then flipped it in 2008 to Russian oligarch Dmitry Rybolovlev for a staggering $95 million, more than double the purchase price.

The sale raised major red flags, not just for the suspicious price but for the buyer’s ties to Russia and the LACK OF RENOVATIONS OR ADDED VALUE.

It reeked of money laundering.

So no, Trump didn’t cut ties with Epstein out of moral outrage. He did what he always does: stabbed someone in the back for a profit.

And in this case, he just happened to out grift a fellow predator.

Bingo. Should there be another non-MAGA elected president, he/she should bulldoze that on day one and replant the rose garden. Name it as memorial to Virginia Louise Giuffre.

Make this his official portrait:

Partially agree, but leave the room up and name it after Obama and hopefully dotard will be alive to see it.

Disagree! I was an inspector for years. It’s a pretty pointless exercise with very little connection to safety.

Used to work with a guy who's Houston-area vehicle constantly alternated between belching white or black smoke. The vehicle not the guy. I asked him how he passed the inspection, and he replied that there were locations that would pass any vehicle for an extra $20. He also complained about the reach of govt in our lives.

So we missed the jobs number "slightly" by 34%.

I "slightly" missed my goal of benching 300 lb in HS by 32%.  (Hey, I was a 105 lb wrestler.)

Just imagine how fucking stupid you would have to be to read all of that and still think he deserves your support. I mean, forget everything else. Just that.
