And we still don’t have a jobs report number.

it’s been, what, 2 months?

"Jobs have grown bigly.  At numbers the likes of which no one has ever seen before.  There have never been more jobs.  'Jobs' - that's a word not many people know, but it's becoming more and more common.  I brought that word back, 'jobs.'  Sleepy Joe couldn't do it.  The election was stollen."

Legitimately might be the most insane thing that’s happened since 2016.

At the time it felt like a funny epilogue on Trump's time in politics. Turns out we were just getting started.

Exactly this. God, it was so hilarious for about 3.5 years. Then, we all started to realize that there was a decent chance that we were going to reelect these clowns.

I try to think of these things in terms of management (a role I tend to despise).  If someone who reported to me had fucked up at the Four Seasons level they would be fired by phone before they got back to the office.  In this administration?  Just another day.

Lol. What a fucking bunch of old, gray haired pussies. Has there ever been a greater generation of pussies than Boomers? I realize everyone who gets old hates change, but Jesus.

Bad Times Make Strong Men, Strong Men Make Good Times, Good Times Make Weak Men, Weak Men Make Bad Times.

Boomers, the sons and daughters of the Greatest Generation, are the weakest motherfuckers of all time.

I think I’ve found my Thanksgiving toast!

It's depressing. That day of Four Seasons and widespread celebrations, followed by Dave Chapelle's amazing SNL monologue that night. The weeks thereafter through the inauguration (minus Jan 6th of course) was full of hope and optimism for me. All of his lawsuits were failing, alternate electors getting rejected, Sidney Powell and Rudy hearings were a shitshow... so much desperation and fail for him and I loved every minute of it. Coincidentally there are 4 or 5 songs that I had on heavy rotation during that timeframe and I continued to listen over the following years, but for whatever reason they've fallen off my playlist and I can't bring myself to listen to them now. I'm saving them for 2028 because yes I think we'll get there and have a reason to be hopeful again.

Oh.  Someone told him we have anti-trust laws.  How amusing.  It's okay - he managed to make it a xenophobic exercise.  This regime turning everything into hating foreigners is like gratuitous sax solos in 80s songs - no matter what, it finds a way in there.

holy fuck the american machine is almost unbreakable. they've spent the better part of a year trying to break it and we're only now starting to see it sputter. any other country on earth would have buckled in the first quarter. kinda goes to show that with competent leadership it could be righted in equal time. hopefully it's not too late when that happens.

I know I'm paraphrasing someone else, but if you were a white male Boomer, you had to have a plan to fail.

I don't resent the fortunate.

I despise the gluttons.

Judge tells Trump his administration needs to fully payout November SNAP.

Trump appeals to 1st Circuit Court.

1st Curcuit Court declines to intervene, or do anything at all, today.

Trump appeals to Supreme Court.

Jackson puts a 48-hour stay on initial ruling, pending a decision from the 1st Circuit Court.

Now we wait for the inevitable outcome of the 1st Circuit Court shrugging its shoulders for the next 48 hours and we're back here again by the end of the weekend.

Insist Luke 18:25 should be displayed in every Texas classroom, Pedo Goody Two Shoes

My Bible has one that should give pause to any Bible-believing Christian:

‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

Jesus seems super serious about this stuff here; like it really seems important. It seems like someone with a “personal relationship” with Jesus would find these worse compelling. A bunch of ravenous wolves on the inside.

Not sounding the alarm bells but anybody who has been around loved ones who were on the decline ‘bigly’ recognizes that sunken eyes/drooping face that trump is sporting, especially in that fainting staffer pic of him standing at his desk. Dude is in some serious shit.

Starving 42 million Americans is not a good look. Not to mention the 3 million government employees who may not have been on SNAP and are not receiving a paycheck going into the holidays. All while building a lavish ballroom that 99.9999% of Americans will never see.

I know Trump has gotten away with a lot of heinous shit over the years, but I think so many of his supporters treated politics like a reality show with a goal of owning the libs, and now the chickens are coming home to roost for a lot of people. Trumpers likely care less about trans swimmers when they can’t afford to eat and their orange god is bailing out Argentina and starting a holy war in Nigeria.

I think we’re seeing cracks in the MAGA armor. Trump is practically commanding Congress to terminate the filibuster and so far it’s crickets. MTG is very publicly on a healthcare rampage. The senate voted to block tariffs on Brazil. The winds seem to have shifted and I think everyone on the right is feeling the pressure of the extended shutdown.

I’m reluctant to get too hopeful long term, but it’s safe to say the GOP is not having a good November. That’s a start.
