Even if Detroit wasn't doing a live stream of their counting efforts (I dont remember if they were, I know many big counting places were), that facility would definitely have camera coverage to support or refute mystery vans delivering ballots instead of food.  I would assume it would also be pretty simple to count the # of paper ballots versus reported votes cast for that precinct without having to do a full recount.  A box is X number of ballots, we have X boxes, is that in the ballpark of reported votes.

I'm fairly certain that these audits are done after each batch is counted.  Even the most incompetent poll worker/auditor is going to notice an 800% overage on votes counted versus ballots scanned.

People have been so out of touch with voting and how voting is conducted for so long, they are swooping in and telling everyone what's wrong with the bridge collapse when they haven't passed Algebra I. Out of our community, when new voting machines and contracts were being discussed I think less than five citizens bothered to attend the meeting a little over a year ago. I watched the live stream, but since they were debating between two choices and were leaning toward the choice I thought was safer, I didn't send in any comments. I don't think the average Joe or Jill understands much of how their community works.

All of their cases come down to the same message -- I kinda sorta think I saw some people in charge of the ballot counting do a thing or two poorly.  Not fraudulently, not with crooked intent, but done poorly/incompetently.

This describes every facet of local government across the nation.  Maybe they should just put the whole system on trial while they're at it.

Yeah, that affidavit is at least something concrete that, if true, could demonstrate actual issues. Although, I find it hilarious that in her 22 hour shift she states she saw "nothing but fraudulent actions." I guess even the smoke breaks were fraudulent. Also, her affidavit doesn't actually describe any fraud, just potential incompetence. And, after hearing her talk, I very much doubt she did anything associated with IT. Even hotline support is doubtful to me as I don't see how you could hire this person to do any communicating with other people (insert IT joke here). Hell, she doesn't sound qualified to be a janitor. My prediction is that her role was limited to the one thing she seemed to have concrete knowledge of: fixing paper jams.

But you see, that makes it much easier to complain about things!

If they doubt the count, they will doubt the audits too.  Hell, they will doubt anything short of Trump winning, so whatever.

Of course it'll be a shrine. What else is a Trump library going to contain? A bunch of fucking tweets? I'm sure if any actual papers exist, they are currently being burned.

I know I'm a couple days late on this but it will be a gift shop with a display case that has 7' tall wax figure of trump in it that people can stand in front of for pictures.

They actually dug a hole to get the camera that low.  Somewhere there's a round table discussion with Judge, Livingston and the other actors.  I'll try to find it.  It's amazing.

I think the studio wanted some pop song on that scene, and Judge held firm with Geto Boys.

Actually, it's incredibly dangerous.  He feels trapped/cornered -- when you corner an opponent, that opponent will do desperate, irrational things.  Dangerous fucking shit.  If he feels that he has no viable path forward but to stay in power.....then he will do anything and everything to stay in power.

Again, between now and January 20th is the most dangerous period in American history since the Civil War or Cuban Missile Crisis.

My in-laws are so convinced that he did so much to help independent farmers.  And I really don't have any specific information to show them evidence to the contrary.  And they don't really have any proof the other way other than what FoxNews and their neighbors tell them.  There's gotta be some truth in the middle there somewhere but I wouldn't know where to look.  My subscriptions to National Review, the Atlantic, and Bloomberg cover everything across the spectrum...EXCEPT farming/ranching.

Check out increases to farm subsidies under last two years of Trump.  China cleaned his ass out on USA farm produce exports.  Government bailed him out with subsidies to keep the farm vote.

Don't disrespect Stanislav Petrov like that.

He was so good, we even named an acting method after him because he was so calm in the face of total destruction.  There's even a filmmaking technique named for him as well, having to do with a gun seen over a mantle at the outset of a story.

I never went back and looked to see if they ever got their permits, so it's possible.

Supposed to be marching from SCOTUS building to the WH.

MSM, plus the outliers, plus all the videographers are covering it. Supposed to be a counter protest, but I'm hoping that those folks tread carefully as the Proud Boys and militia groups are going to be steroidal with pent up rage.

Let them rage.  Seriously, give them every chance to show what they are.  The American people and the world need to see the oozing tumor that we're afflicted with, on full display.

If they fight with each other, then have at it. I don't want anyone that has to be anywhere near there for work, etc to get harmed. Not every person in DC that works there is pro Trump. We've had Secret Service get the virus, plus the various housekeeping/janitorial staff become ill, too. I suppose one that works near the mall and area is used to the various civil gatherings, but there isn't much civil about the Trump supporters promoting this.

Trump's niece says no way Donald runs in 2024:

https://www.mediaite.com/tv/mary-trump-dismisses-2024-comeback-talk-trump-will-never-put-himself-in-a-position-where-he-can-lose-like-this-again/

Quote

Mary Trump, the niece of President Donald Trump and author of a brutal tell-all book about his upbringing, scoffed at suggestions that he will run again in 2024, telling CNN’s Chris Cuomo that the president would “never put himself in a position where he can lose like this again.”

Like many other commentators, Mary Trump criticized Republican Senators for “enabling” her uncle’s refusal to concede the race, calling it a “dangerous situation” because he was “capable of anything.”

“This is the awful part of this,” she said. “He should have been rendered completely irrelevant by now. Whether he concedes or not, it doesn’t matter. It’s up to the Republicans to say it’s over, we’re moving on. As long as they don’t do that, they continue to give him power. They continue to give him the ability to rile up his base and other people who voted for him.”

“They’re making an incredible miscalculation here by pretending that they can control this monster that they’re unleashing upon us,” the president’s niece added, specifically calling out Senator Majority Leader Mitch McConnell for being focused on “short-term needs” like the special election for the two Georgia senate races, which would put the country in a “much more difficult situation” if he let Trump continue like this for another month and a half.

“Do you think your uncle would run again?” asked Cuomo.

She smiled and then said with a laugh, “Sorry.”

“You don’t even want to contemplate?” Cuomo replied. “Do you think he would run again? He can.”

“Yes, he can — thank you, Grover Cleveland!” she quipped, before answering, that no, she did not think that he would, saying that any discussion that he was considering running in 2024 was just something that was “floated initially as a way to appease him and assuage his ego.”

“But he will never put himself in a position where he can lose like this again, first of all,” she said. “Secondly, it would mean for four years that he is playing essentially a supporting role, which will be very difficult for him to sustain.”

She went even further, predicting that President Trump would be unable to run again in four years, either due to health or legal concerns:

And you know, most importantly, in four years he will be the same age Joe Biden is now. However, Donald is a very unhealthy person. He has a terrible diet. He doesn’t exercise. And he has, you know, psychological disorders that continue to go untreated. So I don’t even imagine that he’ll be able to run in four years. Plus the fact of course he may be looking at serious charges being brought against him.
