A story about a pathetic man's downfall

I never thought I'd use the term "aroused" in the same sentence as "Former President Trump"......but yeah, put me down as Aroused.  I won't say Titillated yet, I'm gonna save that for the 20th.

He also lost something like 87% of the counties which contain a Trump Property (hotel, golf course, other).

When you say, "I know real estate in (insert name of city or state here)", that really means you know the people in that area and what they want.

Well, the maths say you don't, Mr. President.  You just bring bankruptcy and chaos to everything you touch.  I'm glad you're out, but let me sarcastically say thank's for leaving America with your blight, Commander Dipshit.

Seriously. What are y’all’s guesses about what happens between today and the inauguration?

Here are some of my guesses

Attack Iran - 75% chance

Trump runs to foreign country - 60% chance

MAGA riot/terrorism somewhere - 40% chance

Trump doesn’t leave WH - 15% chance

Trump tweets a shitload of conspiracy theories and blames Pence for his loss - 100% chance

The sad part is that he's not going away after January 20th. Matter of fact, I think his shit is going to be worse.

this is like Hamilton.  even after Hamilton had no position in the Adams administration, Jefferson knew he was a threat because had a pen and paper.  so they had to let him know what they knew.

Trump will be a threat because he has a smartphone and Twitter.  hopefully the NY AG let's Trump know what he knows.

Quote
Hamilton is out of control

Madison: This is great he's out of power
He holds no office
And he just destroyed president John Adams
The only other significant member of his party

Jefferson:  Hamilton's a host unto himself
As long as he can hold a pen, he's a threat
Let's let him know what we know

So will we look back at Trump as the "hero" that destroyed this iteration of the Republican Party...

...or will we lament that this was the day that gave rise to an even worse version?

Shit, I gave myself a rhetorical question sads.

He best tread lightly.  His only chance for any kind of pardon is to resign in the next week or so and have Pence do the deed.  Call him a traitor once too often, and he just might forget to sign the pardon.

I don't think it will give rise to a worse version. If they continue trying to go down that path, they are going to get shellacked for years to come. They're going to have to moderate quickly or they will die. Either one is fine with me.

i'll just run with your scenarios:

-Iran:  50% chance.  The carrier group positioning is curious.  But macro oil trends are stabilizing, no reason to fuck that up right now.

-Trump to foreign nation:  Much lower, but way higher if it's to one of a handful of countries he has a property in.  He'll couch it to his base as, "I'm a hard worker, you all know that.  I don't skip a day, I'm getting right back to running my empire so I've got to India to check on our new tower there."

MAGA riot/terrorism:  this is where I'm still very bearish on the movement.  I'd put it at 50% terrorist incident, 80% mass shooting.

Trump doesn't leave WH:  5%.   He's leaving.  Somebody will make it very clear to him, that he goes quietly without an embarrassing debacle for us overseas, somebody will squeeze the U.S. Attorney's office to lessen some of the things they're going after with regard to his family and inner circle.

Tweets and Fire Stoking:  101%.

I know y'all don't like any Republicans.  But there's several dozen, run-of-the-mill Chamber of Commerce GOP Congressmen who weren't going along with Trump.  They aren't the 15-20 really vocal ones who never shut up on FOX or at rallies.  They just followed the orders from McCarthy or McConnell on how to vote.  They didn't use Trump to fundraise, they never really debased themselves to run on pro-MAGA shit, they just tolerated it.  Sure they vote out of self-interest and corruption and a backwards view of social progress, but they at least had some modicum of respect for the Constitution.  And they'll conduct themselves that way today in the Capitol.  They're not joining in this Cruz/Mo Brooks/Jim Jordan co-hort of insane deviants.  They're just gonna do their mandated formality and certify Biden.  And then just get back to their quiet little district that ain't too red, ain't too blue---somewhere in Oregon or Virginia or Michigan or even Texas and get back to fundraising for a third term, and committee work.  And later this month some lunatic MAGA/Proud Boy/Trumper is gonna begin hunting that Congressman and his family.

Let's try to think critically here.  For example, let's say that we toss all white men out of power and we are freed from Louie Gohmert.  Which is more likely?

1.  Wendy Davis moves to TX-01 and gets elected

2.  The Texas GOP finds a non-white male that is just as just as repugnant as Gohmert and gets that person elected because it's east TX and the person has (R) by their name.

The problem is that assholes like Gohmert are what a huge portion of our electorate wants and, given the way the districts are drawn right now, they're going to get them regardless of what race/sex they are.  East Texas is still going to do East Texas things.  Throwing yourself prostrate on the ground and shrieking "OMG WHITE MEN ARE SOOOOOOOO BAD I AM SOOOOOOO SORRY!" isn't going to solve that problem and doesn't accomplish anything other than looking woke on Surly.

Edited to add:  The House election in the (R) leaning North Dallas-area district I live in featured two female candidates.  One ran on a pretty progressive platform.  The other one ran on a platform of "My opponent is a socialist who wants to put all police officers in front of a firing squad and then march you down to the county courthouse at gunpoint and force you to gay marry Obama."  Guess who won!

I don't actually think there's much likelihood of white men being eliminated from positions of power, so the point is moot. A scan of your post suggests that you think that I think that putting women in charge will end bad government. You seem to have a compulsion to carry my statement to absurd conclusion that are not even remotely implied.

I'll just stick with Henry Rollins' observation that this man's world is a poorly run carnage fest and leave it at that.

Have fun jacking off.

Susan Collins is going to need to teach Gaetz, Rubio, Jordan, Nunes, Cruz, etc how to furrow their brow properly over this news.

What the GOP is going to have to chew, swallow, and let sit in their gut is that, through their own pathetic acquiescence, they have created a situation where they have empirical proof that 1) they can’t win with Trumpism and his base, and 2) they can’t win without Trumpism and his base. They only get to choose WHICH poison to ingest. Know that they’ll choose 2), because that’s the most damaging to the Republic. And like the petulant children they are, if they can’t have this country all to themselves, nobody can have it.

Right.  It's not going to happen so it's a dumb thing to say.

If you don't think that putting women in charge will end bad government then why don't you be specific and explain what you think it will change?   If you don't think it's going to change anything then why say it?  Do you think Bama Chick might let you fingerbang her if you come across as sufficiently progressive?

actually watching this trump fiasco on Fox.  That crowd isn't marching on shit.  Low energy, taking selfies, posting of FB.

Trump is just rambling from lie to lie and they barely look to be paying attention.  Pathetic, just as you'd expect.

All cowards just like him. Bluster and social media and attempts at bullying.
