Is he saying women aren't Texans persons/citizens?

FIF accuracy, as the answer is "yes."

All their rhetoric about "protecting women" and such is a tissue-paper thin cover for their actual view: women have no agency, and no role in society other than what men (specifically, their father, and then husband) allow.

It wasn't a slip-up.  It's what they actually think.

George Strait summarized Amarillo perfectly. He has to get there by morning because no one wants to the dipshit who has to wake up there every morning.

As a side note, because of this song, I think of George Strait when I think of Amarillo and vice versa. Not exactly the place that I would want to be synonymous with.

My life philosophy and goal is "when you think of Ballinger, think of me."

I've found that setting very modest life goals helps with overall happiness.

yes, seriously. I have never listened to sports radio in my life. listening to a game on the radio bores me to tears, why would I to be bored further by listening to people talk about a game? anyway, sorry I'm not up every UT alum. lol

Will Cain should have gone with the “I slept with you wife” comeback. It’s the king of all comebacks - even better than jerk store.

Will Cain is Temu Tucker Carlson

yep. I believe Will Cain had a CNN show way back in the past when he was viewed as a potential Tucker Carlson. Then he had a co-host. Then the co-host didn't have Will Cain. And its not that his takes necessarily went against CNN viewer's opinions, they just weren't that good.

The interview with Talarico demonstrated how Cain has a loose understanding of the facts and can't easily talk his way around a high quality, adversarial guest. He needs to be talking directly to the viewer where he can't be challenged.

According to wiki he basically fucked around for 6 years after graduating before founding a publication about quinceaneras (lulz). That's one way to use your $200k+ education (I'm including Pepperdine undergrad).

I listened to Will Cain on either Simmons or Rusillo last year.  He seemed like he’d be tolerable if you stayed out of politics.  But he looks like a dime store Jesse Waters here.

He was. He wasn’t bad at all, definitely better than Chris Childers or whoever on XM84.

Then he went hard right. It sucked as he pushed back on people and their narratives of Texas football. Next thing I know, he’s off ESPN and on Fox News

California will move forward with redistricting vote to counter Texas, Newsom says

California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced Thursday that he is moving forward with putting proposed new congressional maps for the state on the ballot on a Nov. 4 special election in an attempt to counter mid-decade redistricting being pushed by Republicans in Texas.

"I know they say 'Don't mess with Texas.' Well, don't mess with the great Golden State," Newsom said at a news conference, flanked by Democratic members of Congress and California union leaders.

"We're doing this in reaction to a president of the United States that called a sitting governor of the state of Texas and said, 'Find me five seats,'" he added later.

He said the state government will affirm its commitment to the state's independent redistricting commission after the 2030 census, "but we're asking the voters for their consent to do midterm redistricting in 2026, 2028 and 2030 for the congressional maps to respond to what's happening in Texas … and we'll do so in a way that also affirms our desire as a state to level the playing field all across the United States."

In a campaign video released concurrently with his announcement, Newsom framed the issue in stark terms.

"It is a five-alarm fire for democracy in the United States of America. Donald Trump, who is trying to light a torch on democracy, continues to try to rig the election," Newsom says in the video.

Speaking to reporters after the announcement, Newsom said California won't move forward with its mid-decade redistricting plans if Republican-run states considering redistricting don't move forward with redrawing their own maps.

"This does not go forward -- I want to remind everybody -- unless one of these other states move forward, there's still an exit ramp -- not just Texas, but Missouri, as I mentioned, or Florida, Indiana, these other states that are considering doing the unprecedented, rigging their elections with midterm redistricting. So we're hopeful they don't move forward. If that's the case, this effort will not be necessary. But we're not waiting," he said.

Republicans are criticizing Newsom's move as political. *lol*  *lol*  *lol*

"Gavin Newsom's latest stunt has nothing to do with Californians and everything to do with consolidating radical Democrat power, silencing California voters, and propping up his pathetic 2028 presidential pipe dream," National Republican Congressional Committee spokesperson Christian Martinez said in a statement ahead of the press conference.

"Newsom's made it clear: he'll shred California's Constitution and trample over democracy -- running a cynical, self-serving playbook where Californians are an afterthought and power is the only priority."

Fuck the GOP

Being a UT law grad does not make one an actual Longhorn, an adoptive one at best.  That's why hot wheels is so annoying.

I'm fairly certain the largest percentage of UT law grads after UT undergrads is aggy.

This is more for Ag with kids, but one reason Bozo keeps picking on you is that you're a good representative of the kind of thinking that's confused the present, dysfunctional system as working for you.   Millions of Texas Republican voters would be, for example, shocked to find out that their business friendly, low tax, low service state is taxing their household more than they would pay in blue or purple states.
But what about owning the libs?

The political leanings of Inside Texas has always been weird, even before Alex P Keaton wannabe Nahlin took over.  It wouldn’t be at all surprising for Cain to be on there.
