In response, Juarez told users it was “easier than you’d think” since the band plays “military marching songs.”

“The marching band is basically follow the leader,” Juarez said in a comment.

isn't that what we have been saying for decades?!!!

“Some of the band’s maneuvers — such as the four-way cross — are so complex that a computer says they can’t be done because they require two people to be in the same place at the same time,” the university states on its website.

Highly sophisticated software exists to program drill.  I have no doubt A&M doesn't use it, but that doesn't mean they're breaking the laws of physics.  Gah.

so far, i've seen zero aggy gear. nothing. not even a ball cap. no aggy gifts to each other. no talk about their "revenge" game. no talk about college football whatsoever. not even bomc themed discussions. in fact, they have no interest in any bowl games whatsoever much less playoffs.

fucking glorious. 🤘

Depending on how things work out, an idea for a lovely belated Christmas gift to each of your aggy in laws could be boxes containing peaches that are placed sitting on top of blankets of cotton.

I know right?!  What is Sark doing?!

Remember aggy never lies, cheats or steals.

How in the world do "accidentally" join a band?

That's like going to a urinal and "accidentally" having your penis cut off?

Or a couple peaches and a handful of cotton balls in a bowl.

At least there is a reason to be at a urinal in the first place.

Can’t think of a reason to be at aggy.

I believe it would be more like going to a urinal and "accidentally" finding a dick in your mouth.

Advantage aggy.

Just a gentle reminder so that you don’t get negged into Bolivia, the aggy ai thread is down the hall

That’s amazing.  I can see how you can be a good program and not win a natty for decades but 10 years without a road win over a ranked opponent?  That can’t be real.  You’re gonna get lucky or stumble across an over ranked team at some point.  Apparently not.

Gotta play road games first.

In their defense Texas only has two true road wins over blue blood top 10 ranked national championship within the last three seasons winning non-conference opponents in the last two seasons.

I absolutely love that we're the villains. Being the villain makes it much better when we win, so it ruins people's day.

13 hours ago, RomaVicta said:

We've got t-shirt fans all over the country and in Mexico if I'm not mistaken. A great many people want to see Texas good because it just feels we should be one of the teams almost always in the running. People wanted Alabama to come back. They're another national name.

When we are good, we have people all over the country sporting the emblem. I don't think you see that for many other contenders. I think part of it is the elegance of the Longhorn emblem. Another part is that Texas really isn't tied to a specific region, so it's easy to feel included no matter where you're from.

Of course, people will pull for underdogs against us. Once we win an NC (that's natty for all the idiots who've never sniffed one in the audience), some will want to see us taknen down a notch: that's all just human nature.

The new variable is the horns down gesture. That could catch on. It does appeal to the negative side. On TV, you see (losing) fans from other teams giving the gesture as though it's a death ray gun that will have some sort of profound impact on Longhorn fans. It's weird.

I think the Aggies making a big deal about the Big 12 rule regarding hand gestures probably set this up in the SEC. The sips hate it when you do the horns down. They used their toxicity to create a rule against doing it.*

The Aggies would be congratulating themselves on having one of their lies work against Texas, but they won't admit it's  lie.

I don't like the widespread use of "hate" in sports. It was considered a very strong word for most of my life. Maybe that's changed. I always pull against the Aggies except in a few rare cases where they've been an underdog but were fighting hard. Maybe 4 times in my life. I don't hate them. I despise their weirdo culture that paints Texas as evil rather than simply a rival. And their turning sports into a holy war. And their constant lying about the past. Fuck, maybe I do hate them. But nobody else!

Fuck the lying Aggies.

It's hilarious when aggys use the word "nattty" when they haven't won one in almost a century. But next year is the year. They swear by it. Remember that 10+ win team in 2012, and then it decreased to 9 wins, and then their mean at 8 the third year. Aggy thinks they're waking the sleeping giant and next year they're making the playoffs after beating an upgraded Auburn, LSU, Texas, and Florida. But don't let those 4 losses fool you; they'll be the first 4 loss team to make the CFP and win it all!!!

Also, T-shirt fans are great. It's like the Cowboys. Whether we're down or making the playoffs, we always have our supporters, whether they graduated from UT or not.

Aggy t-shirt fans don't exist, apparently. All those hillbillies we see we they play just happen to be aggy graduates, which I can believe, because, well, it's aggy.

Z80 is a CPU. IBM PCJr is a computer model. Might as well compare the 427 V8 to a Cadillac... or an aggy to Princeton.

First, compare Z80 to 8088, and second, the 16-bit 8088 used on the PC was actually operationally slower than the 8-bit Z80... so, no, the PCJr was not "better" in any way other than aligning with the commercial reality of "yeah, it cost way too much and no, it didn't do exactly what we wanted, but hey, no one ever got fired for buying IBM."

Are you talking Datsun 240Z? Cause that car definitely fucked.

Or are you talking Z/28 because while it wasn't doing a lot of fucking relative to its predecessors, it was getting fucked IN, a LOT!

Let's get back to our regularly scheduled aggie bashing. It's more fun and I believe some fresh tears are on tap tonight for we thirsty horns, served up by a former sooner cocksmoke no less. Fitting, bag of dicks for aggie from former sooner.

Upset because they didn't schedule 2 military mights in the Armed forces Bowl.

"Why did the committee piss away the opportunity to have 2 of the schools that represent the armed forces so well?

TBF one guy bitched about it, the others explained to him the selection process. The fact that they're not military seemed to be overlooked.

In an attempt to find the most affordable on-campus housing option, Juarez unknowingly selected a hall reserved for the university’s Corps of Cadets, he said in a post.

“I tried choosing the cheapest dorms, not knowing they were the band dorms,” the user explained in the post. “This included doing the Corps of Cadets, which I also didn’t really understand until I got there.”

On-campus housing costs for the 2024-2025 academic year range from about $2,300 to $6,990 per semester, according to the university’s website. However, as a member of the Corps, which is required for band membership, housing costs about $3,300 per semester.

I think the aggy brass sits around all day and thinks, “hey, what can we do next that is even gayer?”

They’re lucky to have us back in the same conference.  Sports needs rivalries to create passion in the fan base.  Annually beating them like a drum gives them purpose and a sense of normalcy.

I agree wholeheartedly with this statement.

I do like that they get to spread their wings and play in a place like Las Vegas.

This gives the rest of the world a chance to see their mental health crisis and spread awareness of socially unacceptable people.
