I'm just so fucking exhausted.  A rhetorical question but why is decency so fucking impossible for these people?

Honestly, because the whole thing falls apart once you introduce an ounce of decency or critical thought. The lessons embedded in Orwell have been absorbed, just as an instruction manual.

No matter how impaired Biden got, he never managed to equal a single random day’s worth of deranged rambling and behavior by Donald Trump. Half of his statements are the ravings of a street person.  They are grounds for institutionalization and not a quiet retirement.

The fact that these idiots have to constantly invent new fan fiction and conspiracy theories to attack Joe Biden is pretty pathetic. Meanwhile Donald Trump is destroying our entire form of government right before our eyes.

Hilary Clinton and Joe Biden are the eternal enemies.

What about Trump??!!?

Trump has NPD. Everyone with two eyes, no pdh or md required, knows that. Everyone in his inner circle knows that. Sorry you have to hear this from me.

The DNC and the media shit the bed with Biden 2024 guys. It will be ok. A little self reflection might be in order, but you aren't gonna want to hear that from me. I get it.

Narcissistic personality disorder? That’s your excuse?

Your words—“everyone knew” Biden had  health issues yet you brush off trump as just having a “personality disorder.”

fuck outta here

Trump has NPD. This is not a particularly controversial take. Probably the most malignant presentation of NPD ever in a public official.

And nobody should brush off personality disorders. Not sure where you got that notion from, but certainly not from anything I posted.

Literally everyone I work with, with rare exception, has at least one doctorate. Some clinical doctorates as well, MD, etc. And double dipping. Rare for any of them to introduce themselves as Dr. so and so or use their academic titles in normal professional exchanges. To the extent that they do, more typical for the physicians. Academic settings are of course different. And certainly clinical situations.

Biden’s dementia must be the kind that comes and goes. He didn’t seem at all mentally diminished when I watched his appearance on The View. Not bad for a guy, who according to Trump has “stage 9 prostate cancer.”

If you are seriously doubting whether or not Biden had cognitive issues during his presidency then you are truly nothing but partisan. That said, I wish anyone but Trump was running against him last year.

I can't even believe that I am entertaining the notion of getting involved in a conversation with an aggie of how people with academic doctorates refer to themselves in real life situations compared to physician's use of the term doctor.

I’m in academia, but even usually get called Dr. in most social settings outside of my academic colleagues; I also never refers to myself as Dr — just my first name.   I don’t advertise the doctorate. I live in a community that seems to place a higher value in formality than many places.

The only place that calls me Mr. is the doctor’s office. The only people that call me by first name are my parents and a few colleagues and close friends. Everyone else says Dr., which was weird for me when it first started happening, but now it’s weird if I hear anything else.

My wife has other names for me depending on other factors.

Seems to me cognitive issues would negatively impact your ability to govern. I heard CNN toady, Van Jones, in an appearance with Jake Tapper, say the Dems will find it difficult to recover from deceiving the American people about Biden’s diminished state. Really? Didn’t the “American people” forget and forgive Trump for setting into motion an unprecedented assault on the nation’s Capitol?

Yeah, it had to suck having to vote for him a third time.

Did Trump say this? I assume that HHS and the surgeon general will release a new requirement this week that cancer now has 9 stages and failure of the healthcare systems to use the new terminology will be met be harsh penalties.

Biden is allowed to announce his cancer diagnosis whenever he wants but there is little doubt the timing is tied to the book detailing his cognitive decline over the past few years. And the lack of details regarding his cancer diagnosis, which is also his right to withhold, just are adding to the speculation that he’s hid more health problems from the public.

as usual Biden advisors and/or his current instincts are poor.

wish the guy the best but a leader is fair game for criticism in how they deal with the public. If they want to be a private citizen, then stay a private citizen.

Is the revelation today that Biden was too old to be President?

I certainly couldn't agree more. This book is no revelation though we would all love to know why Tapper didn't report it instead of hold it for a book. I am pretty sure his old age and capabilities was the consensus here for awhile. Believe we all agree the DNC completely fucked up the 2024 election by pretending he could do another 4 years. Biden served a purpose, an old white guy to swing the States away from Trump in 2020 and win. I don't know anyone who thinks otherwise.

Trump is the same age now that Biden was then, so...can we expect the same coverage of Trump's age and cognitive ability? He will literally be 78-82 just like Biden was during his Presidency.

How many times does Trump get to sound like a complete idiot and yet he is given a pass? Just because he yells and berates everyone who challenges him, that means he gets a pass? To be fair, hard to charge Trump with cognitive decline when he has been a complete moron for much of his life.

Crazy that Biden last had a PSA screening test in 2014. I know that some cancer screenings are not recommended for older folks but the president isnt a normal patient.

and for anyone that hasn’t had one, a PSA is only an additional test on the blood that is already taken. The doctor only needs to check an extra box and there is a slight (<$50) cost to someone.

Hey, you guys know that South Park episode where they all ignore Cartman and because nobody will respond to him Cartman thinks he died?

This. Last week he happened to get back to posting in the LGBTQ thread where he's largely ignored. The lack of responses led him to say increasingly vile and insulting shit until he imploded and got a week's vacation.  There's no better way to dunk on him than to ignore him and watch him flail from lack of attention.

I’m sure I missed some pithy commentary

Here is a hot take, but fits the data.

Biden's prostate cancer was diagnosed a while back. He got on ADT at some point ca. 2022. The ADT was associated with the obvious and manifest cognitive decline.

How else do you come out and say that it is hormone sensitive on this timeline? It's really the only way that the pieces fit together.

Roy doesn't like that post, but how is hormone sensitivity established. And how does that timeline work?

These are very simple things.

Where'd they find a soulless robot that shows symptoms of cognitive decline?
