I didn’t know either and I did. 😬

Ain't no way I'm doing that.  I don't want the FBI, CIA, HSI, or whoever law enforcement group that would trigger, to come knocking on my door.

"Aborted fetus debris" is stupid rhetoric from RFK. But the reality is that many vaccines are grown in cell lines that originated from aborted fetuses. Seems like the Mennonites have problems with some of that. Reality is that a lot of pharmaceuticals and other products rely on fetal cell lines that cross certain ethical lines for some.

That were harvested decades ago and continually propagated as cell cultures. Let’s not give the impression that newly harvested fetal material is being used in these commercial applications.

No one gave that impression. And I doubt that the mennonites or others so inclines think that there is some expiration date on the ethical issues as they see them.

The Catholic Church deems all vaccines morally acceptable, despite calling on vaccine developers to abandon using cells derived from fetuses.

They would be knocking on your door because they would think you are a Republican and they want you to vote maga in 2026.

Gulp. Choke. Be honest, Roma.

I've long wondered about an economy so dependent on needlessly extravagant gift-giving at Christmas. It's akin to burning money: having jobs we hate to buy shit we don't need. Traditional gift giving of a simple toy or a tie or a bottle of Scotch or homemade cookies had a charm. Mass advertising has turned that charming notion into the Lexus December to Remember which lies at the apex of runaway materialism, IMHO.

Advertising turns many of us into fat fucks addicted to cheese and ever-saltier and sweeter foods.

I'm not educated at any high level on economics. I just watch. Trump's reasons are as stupid/cruel as usual, but I think I could get behind chopping down the extravagant new tradition of gift giving as an economic engine. It won't happen. Most things I'd like to see happen have just about no chance.

I guess I'm the idoit.

And heroin.  However, I wonder how many addicts this current admin is creating? Sorry, newly vaccinated/medicated.

I see your point but would like to offer up that what the regime is also doing is normalizing an expectation of hardship for the working and middle class because they should know their place. While that does fall under your "stupid/cruel reasons" this expectation may become the mantra and/or litmus test of what it means to be a 'patriot'. Whether the public will go along with that remains to be seen. Cannot dispute the remarks about materialism, but frankly this is the stale and moldy bread line future not the traditional orange in the stocking future.

Robby KJ and the Stupid Rhetorics!

Let's stop all the lies about fetal cell lines. We all know what's going on. These vaccines are made from the left-overs of Dem baby-eating and baby blood drinking parties. If Hillary burps into a baggie, you can use it to generate thousands of doses of measles/autism vaccines.

Wake up, sheeple!

Hottest toy of the season. I mean, we can make these here in the US right? Who am I kidding? I'm sure 99.9% of these are made in China.

I'll see your ball in cup and raise you this one 👇 since the US Forest service is being dismantled, who needs trees? Made in America but be careful putting it in the stocking and don't use near open flames. Batteries not included.

Well, herein lies one of those annoying tiny nuggets of truth of post-modern conservatism:  there is some rot in our culture, including rampant, silly materialism.

Not that post-modern conservatism offers any solutions, especially given their base of billionaires created almost entirely on consumerism.

But it makes for some sound bites here and there.

There's a house with a Trump flag near a convenience store I like to use. Today the Trump flag was gone. Replaced with a Jesus flag. This nation really is full of rubes, just waiting to be conned. I was amused. Those falling approval numbers aren't a fluke.

Its actually strange to think about the scenario where him and a significant portion of the cabinet were flying with him and the plane fell out of the sky.

There was a time where that would be a global catastrophe, having negative impact because of uncertainty etc.

Now I feel like that kind of news would be received...differently both domestically and abroad.

The movie rights to "Miracle Over the Atlantic" would be a massive bidding war.

And when regular people can't afford toys in December, Fox News will explain to them that China is waging a war on Christmas as retaliation for the tariffs.

And the fucking idiot brigade will believe it.

While I’m actively rooting for his demise, I do concede that his death would likely push us closer than we’ve been in 150+ years to another civil war.

The fact that neighborhood streets will feature BOTH fireworks and deep mourning will result in a powder keg ripe for conflict.

There's quite a lot of being able to dish it but not take it from the trumpers. I've been looking at "FUCK YOUR FEELINGS" flags goddamn EVERYWHERE for the better part of a decade now, they're really sowing the wind in terms of community

So you want a company that has been under intense scrutiny for the last decade for taking too many shortcuts, being blamed for numerous groundings, fatalities, etc, to now go and speed up the production of the most advanced passenger jet in the world all while operating in this new found supply constrained world?

I love this idea. Do it. Please.
