I had a job offer from Electric Boat, so I went to Groton to talk with various managers, etc.  Calling Groton a shithole would be an insults to shitholes everywhere.  Yikes.  Hard pass.

You haven't seen a shithole in CT until you've been to Bridgeport.

Norfolk being one?

Newport News, so kinda? It's the Huntington Ingalls shipyard. Groton, CT (General Dynamics) shipyard being the 2nd.

This makes me think. There has to be a huge (TMZ-esque, million dollars for photos paparazzi snaps of like Michael Jackson's baby so People magazine can publish it first, type huge) market for some real uncut footage of Dotard.

Imagine getting a drone and sneakily filming him actually paying golf and getting 3 hours and 18 holes of footage. You could retire on that tape.

I watched a bit of Trump on Bryson DeChambeau's ongoing YouTube series where they try to break 50 or whatever it is on various courses. I'd seen this shank multiple times and knew he finished near the back of the two celeb events in Reno he competed in. I knew he wasn't shooting 68's like he was claiming to win his various club championships. I'm sure they did some creative editing but he hit the ball better than I expected for a morbidly obese 79-year-old. (His putting was atrocious, though.)

He's a decent golfer, which he should be considering how much he plays, but he isn't anywhere near club championship-winning caliber. I bet if you count all of his strokes he'd probably consistently break 90 from the old man tees.

I know we could do “imagine if” all day every day, but imagine if someone discovered that Biden claimed to have won dozens of golf championships, when in reality he hadn’t won shit (and in some cases called in his winning score after learning the legit lowest score, and making his one stroke under that). But kept all the trophies, spent years bragging about it, etc. Hell he caught a huge amount of shit for fucking eating ice cream. Fox would make that the biggest presidential scandal of all time.

Just that one thing. Forget everything else. Just golf.

The consensus seems to be he’s long off the tee, but has no other game, plays absurdly fast, and cheats at a level that is farcical.

When you get to choose who you go against in your club championship your odds of winning go up.

There’s a funny story about Clinton playing one of his first post presidency rounds and suddenly his friends shaved 10 strokes off their game and werent missing putts anymore.

I found a picture online of Amber Harris with Shane Trejo, and then an article from the Arab News from back in February that quotes Trejo:

Quote

“We love the idea of Trump as our Julius Caesar-type figure,” Shane Trejo, from a group called Republicans for National Renewal, told reporters at the conservative CPAC conference in Washington.
Trejo stood alongside a poster showing the elderly Trump as a rather more youthful Roman emperor with a chiseled face, laurel wreath and a toga.
Mixing his imperial metaphors, Trejo also described Trump as a “Napoleonic figure” capable of leading “our country out of perdition and into greatness.”
Republicans for National Renewal is lobbying Congress to approve a constitutional amendment to the two-terms limit.
According to the House Republican who introduced the resolution, Andy Ogles of Tennessee, Trump is “the only figure in modern history capable of reversing our nation’s decay and restoring America to greatness” and therefore should be given more time in power.
Amending the constitution would require a two-thirds majority in both the House and Senate. That’s all but impossible to achieve.
But Republicans for National Renewal’s website proposes emulating a trick used by Russia’s Vladimir Putin and working around the term limits by getting a placeholder elected instead.
In the US version, Trump’s son Don Jr. “could run on a Trump/Trump ticket before gracefully resigning on Jan. 21, 2028 after securing victory,” the website says.
“This plan while unorthodox would show that MAGA cannot be stopped by any procedural rule.”
Another supporter calling to extend the Trump era is former adviser and highly influential right-wing strategist Steve Bannon.
“We want Trump in ‘28,” Bannon said at CPAC. “A man like Trump comes along only once or twice in a country’s history.”

...because Napoleon really put France on a great trajectory.

Really hate defending the idiot in chief, but out of curiosity looked and based on the aircraft carrier and other ships in the google map image of the Philadelphia shipyard, this one actually could be legit.

That said...but why?

It is not legit.  Philadelphia Naval Shipyard was closed in 1996 and has been being redeveloped since that time.

Golf goes quicker when you drive your cart right up onto the greens.

They are already trained. It is part of their training.

I'm thinking that the new training component is the "shoot American civilians if we tell you to, do not question your orders" part.  That's the really, really important part.  Truly the only important part.

Still not a reason to ignore it. They will try.

They will, but this particular effort is pretty lame.  I'd love to see them put Andy Ogles in charge of the whole thing, though.

Also Trump orchestrating a fake civil war will really piss me off because it will only remind me of how divisive Obama was.

There’s that, and also, regardless of what you thought about Bush Sr or Clinton or W or Obama, we lived in the greatest and most prosperous country in the history of the world, and under the notion of returning it to greatness, we elected a madman who destroyed it.

Absolutely. It's just when you have nearly 40,000 documented lies from your first term alone -- and basically everything that comes out of his mouth is a flat-out lie -- some of the less important lies (golf, in particular) get shuffled to the bottom of the pile. I could give two shits if Trump cheats at golf unless he's playing me for money. It speaks to his character (he has none) but him claiming bogus club titles means zilch to me. I'm more worried about the lies that cripple America for generations to come.

Third Term?  More like third trip to through the buffet line.  Couple of real chunks.  She's eating her feelings and he's never not been "husky." These losers deserve each other.

Not a  coincidence that these two posts are one right after another.

It would be pretty funny for them to ram this through only for Trump to get beat by Obama.
