He'll fall asleep, wake up when the barricades are breached and the people are killed by the military, then leave the theatre and say it was a great piece of work.
Pity we can't get him to be fully inspired by Javert- a lotta bridges in the nation's Capitol.

More hints that FEMA will be done away with in its entirety.  When the feds do contribute money to an area it in the future it will be done differently:

“We’re going to give it out directly. It’ll be from the president’s office. We’ll have somebody here, could be Homeland Security.”

Wanna bet which set of states (red versus blue) will get the lion's share of the money?

I’m not saying this action is the end of the US. I’m not into hyperbole. But countries can eventually cease to exist when they fail, intentionally or unintentionally, to provide services and safety to their citizens.

i realize a counter argument to this is pointing out fema didn’t always exist. 100% true but Americans have now agreed that we pay into the govt to cover services and emergencies. We used to have hurricanes wipe out communities, and I don’t mean a week without power.

Dear God,

Please send the next hurricane to MAL. I want to see that fuck explain using FEMA for his own personal crisis while telling others you’re on your own… deal with it!

Sincerely,

A Trump Hater

I’m not worried about what’s on my phone but I would consider taking a burner phone or erasing my phone as I landed in the US. Then restore the backup once I’m out of the airport. I would have to consider any immediate downsides to having apps and data off the phone.

of course the trump admin may interpret a wiped phone as suspicious.

Just as Trump is purging the govt of disloyal people, why wouldn’t they want to extend their goal to the entire country. Even MAGA leaders realize it’s not easy to identify/purge disloyal folks so the next best action is to make life as bad as possible for them.

disband FEMA, and then Trump decides which states he will dole out emergency assistance dollars and how much. How did the state or the impacted counties vote?  Reward loyalty and punish others.

Not kidding - restart your devices before going through customs if it's a concern for you. Cell phones will encrypt the device info within the secure enclave, and bitlocker or whatever other system encryption will kick in on your computer.

Absolutely absurd that's where we're at, but thankfully there's legally compliant ways to protect your own privacy

The woman revealed that she had left South Africa more than a decade ago, but had gone through a lengthy process. She also criticised Afrikaner “refugees” for having unrealistic expectations.

She continued, “One side of me is like, ‘F**k that. ‘My husband and I went through all of the red tape, and we got our visas…we’ve got our green card. We’ve been here ten years. We did everything the right way.

“Here, these people, regardless of what they were promised, just came here expecting everything”.

Under the post, the woman added that she was assisting the family with a car as she was a “humanitarian”.

That woman, who did everything right, can probably expect to be deported in a few weeks.

Towards the end of my military career, I spent a two-year assignment as a "coordinator" of defense support to civilian authorities, otherwise known as an "EPLO" or emergency preparedness liaison officer. In other words, I was the frontline coordinator to ensure that civilian authorities  knew the military's capabilities and legal limits, and how to request military support in a manner that could be legally supported by the SECDEF.

Scenarios like the one currently underway reek of unwanted and unwarranted military involvement.  There is no circumstance where a president should be activating a state’s national guard without even coordinating with the governor as has happened here.  This event is 100 percent for political show.

Can the National Guard (who by being activated by the president switches from state to federal authority) be legally utilized for this mission?  Yes, with a fair number of restrictions for this use.

Can the Marines be activated to guard federal buildings legally?  Yes, although it’s a really dumb thing to utilize the Marine Corps for since they’re not trained for riot control.  You might say “But Marines could kick ass and lay waste to any riot…Of course they can do this job.”  However you’d be wrong because in a first-world, non-dictatorship country we don’t just kill protestors/rioters.

What I’m getting at is that this whole event is being escalated by an administration who is using federal military forces as pawns in a disgraceful manner; for political show.

Time for the donor states like California, New York, and Massachusetts to stop sending federal tax dollars into the system and make the welfare queen states in the deep south fuck off and use their own broke ass bootstraps to fund shit like disaster relief and healthcare.

Customs and Border Protection can search your phone including going thru your social media. If you refuse to unlock it, the worse scenario for a citizen could be some hassle and confiscation of your phone. They can’t deny you entry to the US based on your refusal and they can’t arrest you for that lack of action. If you’re a non-citizen or other categories, they may tell you to return to the country you came from.

if I was a non-citizen, I wouldn’t leave the US unless I was prepared to never return.

A political Twitch streamer who is openly critical of Israel (and Trump, of course) recently returned from a trip to France and was detained for hours by DHS and questioned about his political beliefs. Insane on its face, but when he submitted a redress inquiry he found out that his Global Entry status was revoked and they never told him about it. Fortunately for him, he is a US citizen or he likely would have already been denied re-entry and perhaps deported to Turkey where he'd likely be imprisoned by the Erdogan regime.

For some reason, it wouldn’t bother me to hear about the incarceration of a twitch streamer.
