Shoot. Great question. I forgot to ask. When I met Arch, the head client from Redbull freaked out when I told him the ball was for Surly Horns. She, of course, had never heard of Surly, and was horrified that I was having him endorse a football from an unknown website that could somehow cause harm to them by association. She was very not happy with me in general, but I got my signatures and photos, haha.

She’s right you know….

Totally. She was no Karen. I pulled a fast one in the middle of their big shoot and she didn’t understand what I was doing, and freaked the fuck out. I did have to  promise to remove all Red Bull signage from the background of Arch signing my football and not share any images before a certain date, which I did. It was God’s work I was doing.

The thing about moose is that most people have no idea how big they are nor how damn mean they can be. It'd be a lot easier to pick up a can of Red Bull than to drink moose piss from the tap.

alaskan moose next to human 😳 : r/HumanForScale

And they are fearless.

I was at Bowman Lake in Glacier yesterday. Saw a Grizzly but no moose, thank god. Still, wasn’t too fond of the Grizzly so I moved on, backed up, ran like a little girl, whatever.

I watched a video of a grizzly flipping a dead bison over. It was pretty stiff too. Those damn things are strong.

I was on my motorcycle heading to a horseback ride in northwest Yellowstone about 6 years ago.

I came around a corner on a thin mostly dirt with a bit of gravel road without any shoulders. Across the middle of the road stood a Moose nibbling on a tree.

He slowly changed his gaze towards me. Summed me up, turned back to the tree slow and easy like. He then took another bite of whatever was on the tree, then, slowly, real damn casual strolled off never giving me a second look.

I'm not prone to sudden freezing during high stress situations.

I was fucked if he got mad. I think he thought "everyone look what's going down".

So.... like a good puny human, I waited.

I’m really excited to see what PK is going to do with all the pass rushers we have.  A 3rd down package with Simmons, Hill, Moore, Spence, Burke/Vasek is insane.  Teams are going to have to get the ball out in 2 seconds if they are in 3rd and long.

Greg McElroy ... Texas will have the number one defense this year.   This is GOOD stuff.

Tough to find a weakness at any spot.  I would've loved a thumper type ILB to backfill the role Gbenda played last year.  Lefau is the better football player, and will make splashier plays but Gbenda made some very solid plays in late down/short yardage situations.  There was a 4th and 1 stop against A&M on their second or third drive that changed the complexion of that game pretty early.  Never desirable to count on a freshman, but Bo Barnes may be able to provide some snaps in those situations akin to freshman Bobino on the 05' team.  However it shakes, I'm picking at nits here and really searching for any potential holes.

Brad Spence and Trey Moore should be able to fill that role for short yardage as well as provide pass rush from the edge position.  I really think this D could be better this year than last year.  Secondary will be hit hardest with the losses of Mukuba and Barron.  We have tons of talent back there though.

Admittedly I don't know a great deal about the guy but I feel like Brad Spence might have brought in for that role. Experienced and not light in the ass.

We are going to have so much versatility in the front 7 this year and be able to come from everywhere with pressure IMO.

It's going to be incredible.  We can have a mixed heavy run set package that can literally morph to a pass rush destruction package.

Vasek getting healthy would be huge for this. As it stands,  our EDGE/LB room consists of Simmons, Vasek, Burke, Trey Moore, Zina Ant Hill, Spence, Lefau and Tyanthony Smith. That's a tremendous amount of speed, size, coverage ability, pass rushing ability, run stopping... you can just envision so many different combinations of those players based on situation, without a real drop off in talent level. If you look at the same position groups from 2021 when Sark/PK got here, it's astonishing, Overshown is probably the only guy who even cracks the current two-deep. Just incredible roster building and development.

Jaylon Ford, Byron Murphy (post Bo rant) Sweat say dafuq?

Agree on overall roster talent.

Maybe I'm misremembering, but I don't think the 2021 version of Jaylan Ford would factor into our depth chart this year.

One of my best friends, who has always been aware of Hornfans/Shaggy/Surly but isn't a lurker or poster, made this and HenryJames posted it. Way back in the day.

How much LB has Moore played? I’d be hesitant to count on him early on for that.
