Greetings from an Aggie! (Go easy on me - I also married a Longhorn). I am posting here to seek advice form those of you who are familiar with all of the pre-game activities of which to avail ourselves on 11/28 when we arrive several hours before the game. To put in context, in 1995, when the Longhorns played the Aggies in College Station, I proposed to my bride by having a banner flown over the stadium with my proposal. She said "yes" (thank goodness), and here we are 30 years later. I am taking her and my two kids (both Aggies) to the game on Friday. I hired another plane/banner company to fly a banner near the stadium around 1:35pm Friday before the game. We plan on arriving on campus around noon or so. So, my question is - do you have suggestions on where to park and what pre-game "tailgating" we can do as we wait for the surprise banner? I told the company to fly the banner over and near the LBJ fountain based on advice I received from a Longhorn colleague. Any thoughts and advice you can share with me to make this event special for my bride would be most appreciated. Thank you!

You'll have a blast. Plenty of friendly folks and you will be heckled but in a fun way not a mean way.

This is going to be the best you can do on campus, 2 minutes from LCL 5 minutes from bevo blvd, the stadium gates etc. Right in the heart of everything. You can grab beers and go and come back and get more. 2 rounds of food, game sound on, 4 TVs. Etc

I've been using Spot Hero this season to find parking.

Just plug in DKR and decide how far you want to walk.

Bucky Pullig was my favorite.

I always liked Ryan Pavlas....or was it Lance Tannehill. I get my legendary aggy QBs confused.

Great idea, @Maroonblood. Hope y'all have a wonderful time. Seriously, though. The Surly tailgate would be good to y'all. Just mention "Muledick" and this thread.

So is the banner for your wife just with the basic hope of getting laid?  Or are you aiming for something kinkier?

I'm sorry, we don't do sincerity here.

I thought this was satire like the posts from dipshits who claim they had such a wonderful time at the road game in collie station and were treated so well by the aggy faithful when they got lost in the way to the stadium. I was disappointed to find out this guy actually a friendly Aggy.

I think in return for all this help you should be willing to add the following to whatever romantic drivel you are posting on this banner in a vain attempt to get a 30th anny BJ.

“P.S. Kyle Flood is not our standard”

I don't believe any of this shit.

Come on he is looking for someone to show him the way to the stadium. He will later write how his friendliness convinced some kids wearing Longhorn shirts to become aggys. All sarcasm aside @Maroonblood once I had to host a job fair talk for my company at College Station in which we bought all those aggys a bunch of pizza. I wanted to hate but watching a bunch of college students enjoy free pizza is still unmatched even if it was College Station. Mention the thread at the tailgate and knowing you are bringing the 1995 vibe to this game should be enough for us to be amicable.

Kind of a cruel way to announce the divorce.

I, too, am disappointed at the level of authenticity here.

Does the Brazos river have its own version of the Rainey street river?   If so, we may have a suspect
