I like how "commie" has made a comeback on the right.  It's the Red Scare all over again, except they are actually on Russia's side this time.

Commie is just another blunt epithet to the right like woke or socialist. It means nothing more to them than they don’t like it.

Apparently we’re not only in a post truth era, we’re post semantics, which is right in line with goals to dismantle the Department of Education.

So she's fought Lauren (Boebert), she is currently fighting Laura (Loomer), and now I'm hearing rumors that former FoxNews anchor, Laurie (Dhue) is coming outta retirement to right this bitch.  It's on!

Lara Logan is tan, rested, psycho, and ready to rumble.

Yeah, I don't like to pick on Lara because of what happened to her.  But sorta like Macanudo, I am tanned, poorly rested, certainly psycho, and ready to rumble.

In middle age on the straight and narrow, I'm done with real life political fights.  But if I saw MTG in public, there's no way I wouldn't get arrested.  That fucking four-toed failure.  The most frustrating part is she's a deft fundraiser.  And barring some drastic changes to/within her district, at her age---she's not going anywhere for 20 years.  And she knows how to remain relevant enough to seize on a Senate or Cabinet position one day further down the line.  I've met people far, far worse than her and my only solace after interacting with them is, "Well, I doubt I'll ever have to hear from that person again."  But MTG is like Herpes, she's gonna be with us for a long while and just get more inflammatory.

Yeah, you say that sarcastically, but I saw Fani Wills on the courthouse steps espousing a sociopolitical, philosophical, and economic ideology within the socialist movement, whose goal is the creation of a communist society, a socioeconomic order centered around common ownership of the means of production, distribution, and exchange that allocates products to everyone in the society based on need.

I’m sorry it was in fact the Wolverhampton Wanderers who beat Leicester 3-1

I’m no sociologist, but I believe that the level of political discourse in this country might just be drifting lower.

Just a few years ago that scene would have included upright chanting young men with tiki torches, or "stacks" of Walter Mitty Gravy Seals in body armor maneuvering to scale the jail. Now it's two skanks jaw-jacking at the bus stop shelter while an old man mumbles loudly off-screen.

That awkward Monday when half of RDCanecutter's post reads like a Trump social media posting.

Whew.

AND HERE COMES LITTLE YGIFS (Who was nothing until I helped him BECAUSE OF THE INCIDENT) COMMENTING on my post LIKE A DOG LIKE A SAD DOG. Seems like not long ago he was a big man, a strong man, walking up to me tears in his eyes saying SIR, SIR THE ELECTION IS STOLLEN AND I AM GONNA DO SOMETHING. Did he do something? No.

SAD.

You left out the part where someone is crying and begging him for something......

I've come to the conclusion that the GQP is 50% true believers and 50% grifters. Half of the latter end up becoming the former, but still maintain their grift status. I think MTG is one of these. Also, isn't she divorced now? Isn't she MT or MG now? I don't care to look up which was her maiden name

Huh. I never really thought about it as 'initials'.

It's not a word. It's a button. Somewhere deep in the amygdala are the red buttons for things to fear and hate without understanding. The reptile brain.

Hmmmm. Now the lizard people shit starts making sense. Every accusation a confession.

Or TMNT

That's an insult to the Ninja Turtles, in comparison they are sophisticated and have class.

I was visiting a store the other day where I've known the owners for a decade. I never doubted they were conservative, but this last time it was full-on Conspiracies-Define-Our-Lives. Conversation with main dude went like this:

"Why Hi RD, how've you been?"

--Stressed out. Crazy people in an art club I lead wanting to have a witch trial for a new member."

"Well I bet they're all Democrats."

--Actually, the opposite.

"Well my my. Usually it's the Democrats with something like that, the same way they're running our money down."

--[me thinking about famous Democrat Richard Nixon and the end of gold convertibility for the dollar] Yes.

"How have you been feeling?"

--OK now. Last week I had a cold so bad the doc thought it was Covid.

"Oh they always want it to be Covid. Don't you ever go to a hospital if you test positive for Covid. They'll kill you. You come here. We've got what you need, we'll fix you up."

--------------------

When I told Mrs. Canecutter about this talk, she said: "They're selling horse paste."

This Eris variant sounds pretty serious, I've read the vaccine will be available shortly and am looking forward to getting it.  I realize that everyone is exhausted about Covid, but it's not over and the those that continue to deny science appear poised to suffer again.  Horse paste sales appear primed to spike yet again.

I had it last week and gave it to my wife.  She got hit pretty hard.  It wasn't fun for her.

I mean, communist is still pretty much my all time favorite insult, and I'm obviously not in anyway sympatico with today's right.

I wonder where we would be Covid-wise if everyone would have been on board with the vaccine.  Would be an interesting study, and I imagine someone from CDC is working one up.  Probably not too efficient though unless they are using asteriks on all the deaths probably due to covid, but blamed on something else to hide the actual cause.  Or for the conspiracy geeks, deaths written up at Covid that were totally unrelated.    Getting good data points would be a bitch.

We'd be deprived of the FAFO thread of evil stupid fucks dying horribly of a disease they played a part in helping to spread.  They killed more Americans than all the terrorist organizations foreign and domestic. They lived and died by their brand: Cruelty*

All in all, it would be worth the trade of that grim delight to save the suffering millions of people in the US underwent in hospital beds or having someone close in that situation. And the medical community who I still think should be granted free flights and vacations in Yucatan resorts reserved for them. We owe them decompression at the very least.

@Brisketexan's characterization now almost seems like a quaint way to describe the willful infliction of suffering the GOP delights in administering to families struggling to come ashore out of a river, transexuals, pregnant women, and fellow citizens in general. They'd applaud a holocaust if you find the right definition for those whom would be extinguished. To quote PInk Floyd, "the queens and the coons and the reds and the Jews."

Their brand of cruelty has begun creating a new brand for me: Loathing.
