Pretty sure Rogan was for RFK Jr and not Trump so I'm sure Trump will be pissy that Rogan didn't lick his taint like everyone else in MMA/MAGA land.

Didn’t he come out like an hour later and backtrack saying he didn’t mean it that way and making clear that Rogan Luv Trump?

Won’t Trump also do Rogan? I hope he publicly says that he’ll only do Rogan if he refuses to invite Harris and Rogan tells him to fuck off. I know he wouldn’t say it that way because he loves Trump but I could see him saying he’s not going to avoid Harris because Trump asked him to and makes him look like real pussy.

Cool. I am all about getting Trump unscripted on any neutral media available.

Can I just dream that Kamala visiting Fox News and Rogan means the Dems think they are in a great spot and just want to run up the score?

We already know they are spending a lot of time in the battleground states... I don't see any concern with her hitting shows, podcasts, interviews... siphon off as many votes a possible.  Make it an ugly overwhelming win, one vote at a time.  Make his numbers drop nationwide across all states.  It is the only way.  Make the GQP realize that he is a drag on their shambles of a sycophantic party.

I don’t disagree. August/September was locking up the base. October is the gettable republicans and undecided voters.

Remember - the average swing state undecided voter is a moron. They love things like moderation, bipartisanship, etc. October is her play for that

I think that's a nice dream.  But I think what's really going on here is she's taking Bill Clinton's sage advice:  You have to meet people where they are.

This is both literally - they're listening to Fox and Rogan - but also figurative in that she needs to reach a certain subset of independents/right voters who just aren't going to hear her message otherwise.  Or if they do, it will be through a corrupt filter.   Better for her to take her message directly to those people.  If she can peel away even a small number, that may be significant.  She doesn't need to preach to us.  We're already converted.

Well, I literally had a nightmare last night that TFG won the election with a national popular vote margin of 50-45 (5 went to dipshit third party types).  Utterly fucking depressing.  And THEN, it got weird.  On election night, after all the parties wound down, he was occupying a shared suite -- like, we shared a bathroom -- with me and my crew.  The horrific part: he left the bathroom door open, and we saw his saggy old ass.  The great part: my crew was two attractive women, and they were not shy about prancing around the room with no clothes on.  So I'm petty sure I suggested a threesome to get the horrible evening's events out of our minds, and they enthusiastically agreed.

So, turned a nightmare into a pretty nice scenario.  Sometimes I'm not sure what to do with my subconscious mind.

I wouldn't said I "would hope" for a GOP crescendo in their returs, Mr. Smithley.

A friend of mine once took an Italian class taught by an old Italian professor who had lived through the time of Mussolini.  He said there were slogans painted on walls that said "Mussolini ha sempre ragione" ("Mussolini is always right") and the like.

With that in mind, the slogan below caught my eye.

Rogan is a good idea. Hardly any of his remaining audience is persuadable, though. Rogan is a Dana White sycophant, so although the conversation will be interesting the bigger impact will be the headline noticed by non-listeners who will see this move as confident.

To me the obvious risk with Rogan is that it would energize more Trump voters than it would peel off apathetic non-voters for Harris.  I don't know how one gauges that risk, though.

Also, this is about more than just returns by party.  I would assume that +95% of Dems are voting Harris but the Republicans have been hemorrhaging voters in the Philly burbs, particularly with women.

He's going to cocoon himself in only media that will not push back on his bullshit. I bet he drops out of Fox News going forward since they're having Kamala on.

There's a reason they are shellacking him way more than normal with bronzer.  CNBC won't conspire to keep it quiet if he has another episode during the interview.

It's pretty obvious to me that they're terrified of Trump having his Biden Debate moment, his handlers (the Nazi scum who would actually be making policy behind the scenes) know the truth depths of his senility, and he's in such bad condition that he would make Biden circa June 2024 look like Pete Buttigieg.

It's also obvious to me that these Nazi handlers are grossly incompetent, so the secret is out among Beltway insiders and DNC operatives, and the only question remaining is: what's the most effective way to leverage this? The way I see it, this debate about the release of medical records is Kamala's campaign laying the foundation for a dramatic October surprise featuring Trump having a McConnell moment.

Here's hoping she plays it perfectly and to maximum effect.

The story of Minneapolis is that despite all the problems in city government, it's a place people want to move to.

Last fall, a Republican mouthpiece disguised as a news agency named Alpha News put out a "documentary" called The Fall of Minneapolis. It was a word-for-word rehash of the defense's case at trial. All my acquaintances on the right end of the political spectrum were waving this around as proof about how terrible of a governor Tim Walz is. I told them that promoting a case that got their client 22 years in prison isn't the flex they thought it was.

The fall in Minneapolis is a gorgeous time to visit. Great weather, no bugs, and fall colors at their peak.

Before Harris went on, CHD had about 10 million listeners per episode compared to Joe Rogan's 11 million. They've been 1 and 2 on Spotify for a while (Rogan in first place).

They're basically the same type of podcast.  One is for young women, one is for young men.  Prolly 0% overlap.

Honestly, not too hard to go to Italy and find remnants like this that were "removed" but you can still read them some 80 years later.  (took this picture in a small town in Maremma).  Also not too hard to find Italians who are totes cool with this, too.  I know a few.

Yes, but it'd be very funny to see her clown on Trump for being too much of a pussy and there's a chance he'd then try it himself to prove he's not a pussy and literally die from probably tabasco sauce.

Maya Rudolph (so, the SNL Kamala) did a Hot Ones bit for her Apple TV series.  It was funny as shit.  Imagine her doing this as Kamala - it could be fucking hilarious.

She also did one as Beyonce on SNL, but the one above is funnier, and closer to the character she'd do for Kamala.

Not that Trump would be  ourageous enough to eat anything that made him uncomfortable, but it would be great to see his clown grease streaked by profuse sweat and his shirt sleeves tangerine colored from wiping his brow.

Also...that AP sanewashing article....fuck it makes me ragey.  Maggie Haberman can go fuck herself with a rusty trident.

Quote

The Times’ Maggie Haberman, one of Trump’s best-known chroniclers, told NPR last month. “The systems ... were not built to deal with somebody who says things that are not true as often as he does or speaks as incoherently as he often does. I think the media has actually done a good job showing people who he is, what he says, what he does.”

FUCK YOU, MAGGIE.  YOU ARE A WRITER.  YOU KNOW THAT PUNCHY PROSE IS BETTER.  "Who says things that are not true as often as he does" -- fuck that.  It is "Who lies constantly."  That's it.  That's how you say that, you mealy-mouthed click whore.

Imagine that he was a foreign leader/asset (hint: HE FUCKING IS!  HE'S A FUCKING RUSSIAN SIMP!)  How would you report on his constant lies?  You'd call them "constant lies."  Stop soft-pedaling the plain and straight truth.  Fucking do your fucking jobs, which you LOVE to say is so important that it's literally enshrined in the Constitution.  You're right.  It IS that important.  So fucking DO YOUR JOB.

Jesus Christ look at his fucking makeup.  This looks worse than the Cornyn picture.  Whoever is doing this must truly hate him.

Yes. Becuase I'm sure whenever he played football at whatever prep school he attended at any level were playing kids from "bad neighborhoods."

I would have thought those painful bone spurs were what prevented him from playing football.

Ok, Joe Rogan and Andrew Schulz are not for "normies". WTF. Their base consists of ignorant bros who think they're smart/funny and the majority lean heavily towards Trump.

There’s also some really shallow fucks who don’t really stand for much - so while it’s impossible to get them to vote for Kamala, getting them to stay at home actually wouldn’t be all that difficult.

If Trump were to win this election, with this performance, combined with EVERYTHING ELSE….. the biggest takeaway would be that America is shockingly racist and sexist. This became absurd a long time ago. Now it’s….. I don’t even have a word.
