Oh, good.  He gets to play at Ohio St again. Should be fun with a worse team.

I choose to remain incredulous that UCLA vs. Ohio State is a fucking conference game.

I think if there's one thing you love about the Iamaleava boys, its their commitment to the team

Quote

Quarterback Nico Iamaleava recently decided to transfer to UCLA. Now, his younger brother, Madden, likely will be heading there, too.

Via Chris Low of ESPN.com, Madden Iamaleava is expected to join Nico with the Bruins. Madden entered the transfer portal earlier today.

Madden, an incoming freshman, had spent roughly eight months committed to UCLA before flipping to Arkansas in December. Now, he has flipped to UCLA.

Right up there with Cal vs Florida State

I’m partial to the Stanford vs Miami matchup.

From the west side of The Bay to the southeast tip of the Florida schlong, now that is what conference rivalries are all about.

Knew they were doomed after Foster's B10 presser at media days last year.  Dude couldn't string together a few introductory sentences, before offering "....our school is located in Los Angeles..."

Appeared to have zero prep or effort put in and the product on the field is mirroring that effort.

Fuck ucla- this is what they get for hiring a guy with almost no experience because he was an alum. We all love Ricky Williams and Vince Young but wouldn’t trust them to put together a competitive football team. If coaching was easy everyone would have a good team. We wouldn’t have struggled for the last decade, aggy may actually be able to do something productive with the talent they’ve been overpaying for the last several years. The most embarrassing thing for ucla was not hiring Foster (which was embarrassing by the way) but not cutting their losses sooner and firing him and bringing in someone competent.

So how much more did Nico get from UCLA than he was getting from Tennessee?  Hope his dad is having fun. Idiots.

He got less money and more taxes.

Wow, Northwestern looks like the most realistic potential win on the schedule.  I’ll be shocked if they get to 3. 1 is probably more likely than 4.

Absolute best case, dream scenario for UCLA is three wins out of that lineup.

I said this in the random game thread last night, but I feel like repeating it here:

Del Conte needs to have his hair on fire getting UCLA on the schedule, maybe even for this year in the second bye week. Add a 13th game next year, whatever it takes. I think we have a losing record against these bastards and they’ve had a history of catching Texas as just the wrong time. We need this. Let’s go, right now.

Well, once you've hit rock bottom the good news is there is nowhere to go but up.

You could also just sit there at rock bottom and wallow in it.

Every UCLA fan Im friends with says they are unserious program and that the current admin doesn’t give a shit about being good at football. It is a revenue generator and they won’t spend any more time or money on it than is absolutely necessary.

The Big 10 got what it wanted out of UCLA, a name to add to their cupboard and a great destination for away fans from the Midwest to travel to. UCLA got money and that’s the best they could hope for.

Agree with ctj, get them on the schedule as soon as possible.

Yep, UT is 3-4 vs UCLA

Can we get together the 1997 Longhorn team to play this UCLA team, please?

I'd like our chances rolling the 1947 longhorn squad out there. And because they were the team to bail Nico out, everybody in the country is just f'n laughing at them.

Destroying the PAC-12 (a cool conference that deserved to live) for this.

Dude, it’s Los Angeles. A good amount of their population are pro sports fans only, but even then it’s all very Fairweather fan bases. With it being a big film and modern art type of town, a good majority of the population don’t care about sports. If you’re winning, people will show up to see you, but if you suck, they don’t know you exist.

So, you're saying he couldn't organize a 2-car parade.  I actually feel for the fans, alumni and past players.  Sad situation at best.

Strike the "B" on the sweater and what is remaining is "ruins".  The program is in just that, ruins.   If anyone knows how bad it is and will it be, just ask SMU.  UCLA has a long row to hoe.

It seemed that every time I switched over to that game, NM was in the red zone. Yet, at that time, the score was only 14-7 or 14-10. Sure felt like it could have been worse than 35-10?

This might be worse than us losing to Kansas Charlie’s last season and Sarks first season.

Might be? This is multiple levels of worse.

When is the last time Texas lost to a G5? Ever? Guessing we've never done that by 20+ points.

I guess. Just a different mentality, I wonder how much tix cost. Hard for me to think of much that’d keep me away from a September evening at the Rose Bowl, UCLA should market it like the Cubs do Wrigley.

Sorry for SBBruin.  Great poster here.  He deserves better!  College FB is better when both UCLA and USC are relevant.

We waded in the darkness for roughly a decade multiple times, so you too can get out of this shit.  Hell, you play your home games in the MFng Rose Bowl!  That’s a recruiting advantage IMO, as a lifelong CFB fan.

Hook’em!!!
