I had to explain to Reuters today that fucking up the meat packing labor force is negative for the cattleman and the consumer today. Feels like that should be pretty obvious with having to call various commodity brokers.

I haven't seen "empty" shelves, but there's definitely been fewer items behind the front two or three in all the stores I go to regularly. Prices are higher, there's less selection, and I've noticed produce quality getting worse at an HEB that had killer stuff for the last five years
