If people think the tariffs are going to hurt the economy, wait until we deport a workforce that is irreplaceable.  Good times indeed.

I had to explain to Reuters today that fucking up the meat packing labor force is negative for the cattleman and the consumer today. Feels like that should be pretty obvious with having to call various commodity brokers.

Honest question - did we ever see the empty shelves that were supposedly coming when the port traffic all dried up?

I didn't

I haven't seen "empty" shelves, but there's definitely been fewer items behind the front two or three in all the stores I go to regularly. Prices are higher, there's less selection, and I've noticed produce quality getting worse at an HEB that had killer stuff for the last five years

"Mr President, this is Congress, we have a problem! We have $88 billion!!!  Sir we don't know where it came from!!!"

Trump:  "Check the tariffs......"

r/facepalm - Y’all we got $88 billion dollars due to tariffs

"Sir" - His most obvious tell about yet another lie.

“I got a call from Congress” is hilarious. As he gets older he doesn’t even try sometimes.

His caller ID on the phone just says "Congress" for any rep or senator.  Makes it easier that way.

Why suspend the tariffs if they are making us so much money ? Double them !

It sure seems irresponsible not to. We're raking in all this cash... make them 300% across the board!

I understand from a previous Trump tweet some time ago that the world was racing to agree to Trump’s tariffs and that responses to his executive orders were pouring in.

I haven’t been paying attention, so how did all that turn out? What are the Tariff rates for everybody now that it has been all worked out and businesses worldwide have a better idea how to plan their expenditures?

I think I’m gonna buy a bunch of cheap eggs - and then open a company selling breakfast sandwiches to all those drilling crews that will start work in a couple weeks to meet Trump’s drill baby drill order.

Double it for the shithole countries.
