Charlie Kirk Assassinated [Shooter in custody]

Yes, they condemn MEAN WORDS.   They want to cancel everyone who isn’t sucking off Charlie.  Meanwhile their orange GOD says this shit and they can’t bring themselves to say anything.  It’s absolutely pathetic.

Its kinda funny watching you guys just totally whiff on why CK resonated with the politically disaffected demographics that will decide American politics in the future. His political apparatus resulted in the first GOP popular vote victory in 20 years. Dismiss if you want under whatever cloak.

Nobody is doing that. His wife just isn’t the reason that that faction continues.

Also, just to recap:

All Democrat politicians and prominent figures immediately condemn the assassination, mourn Kirk, and urge everyone to do better and be better than this.

The right's thought leaders immediately threaten retribution, war, and blood to ALL liberals before a single thing is known about the shooter. The completely unknown suspect becomes the literal personification of their political enemy. They jump on--and podcast--poorly sourced bullshit about Trans messaging. They gave Kirk military honors when the Minnesota lawmakers couldn't even get a phone call. Then they flailed around wildly when the suspect didn't fit the demographic they wanted to push their political payback agenda, appearing more likely to belong to an offshoot of one of their extreme alt-right cesspools than some blue hair. Topped off with the President, in plain words, stating that right wing violence is justifiable because the left must be stopped.

"Oh you don't realize what you've unleashed. It's over in 2028."

K.

And how pathetic is it that you might be right?

I honestly hope that you guys find your way out of the wilderness.

You seem unfortunately obsessed. I think that CK was right in his approach, engaging people directly when possible in his orbit. You and brisket have some deep regrets that you try to project onto others. It's ok and obvious.

Tradwife isn’t Surly’s construct…it’s a big reason why Fuentes and his crew went to war with TPUSA. He’ll continue it against anyone TPUSA puts up, but will be twice as hard on Kirk. That’s not misogynistic, just scanning Fuentes’ feed will show you his mindset.

This was almost certainly an outburst of confused anger flowing from jumbled and contradictory political moods. A disturbed and agitated individual who will not be able to explain the connection of Charlie Kirk to his anger and his desired outcomes for himself or society in any way understandable to other people.

Nevertheless, under this FBI and administration we will likely get a selectively and carefully constructed narrative of designed and organized “radicalization” by an amorphous group of “leftists” because the president has already announced that’s what he wants. In an earlier generation, our leaders would have been relieved to explain this as the actions of an unstable individual acting on his on to turn the heat down. Now, they will weave a fictional meta narrative precisely to turn the heat up.

I had seen the name referenced as a video game and honestly thought it was a WW2 naval aviation simulator.

Ackshually, you should accept the bet, but make him define antifa first.  And that controls the bet.

On a “trying to figure out these fuckers” point, i used to think that they were all suicidal and that Columbine was sort of the watershed moment. Like instead of killing myself I will kill a bunch of people bc I’m so unhappy. I think differently now. I don’t think necessarily it’s suicidal. I think they are homicidal and hope to get away with it but if they go down in a suicide by cop way fine. This latest fucker is like “don’t turn me in or I will kill myself.” I bet this asshole tried that every time they tried to get him off his ass. It’s not a refusal so much to assimilate and get off their asses. They just get off on killing people. I don’t know what type of therapy or regime that there is for these fucks. And let’s face it we find out later many of these shooters were coddled and in therapy and so forth.

its not like we hear a bunch of success stories of dudes who had homicidal ideations and wanted to kill people “turn their lives around” and become responsible members of society. Maybe I am wrong. But I feel like it’s deeper than how they were raised or any mental problems. They all look each other up on the internet and worship each other’s achievements and try to improve on what their fellow shooters made mistakes on, this kid clearly thought he could get away with it. Which is also immaturity, there are cameras fucking everywhere and no you can’t.

Does anyone here have the courage of their so called convictions?

Maybe you'd have some takers on your bet if you could make clear what you think might qualify him as antifa, alt right, or whatever. For instance, there are pictures of him dressed as Pepe the Frog at a time when it was well known that Pepe had been co-opted as a mascot of the racist alt-right. Could that be evidence that he's a Fuentes disciple groyper? You can likely speak to this because didn't you used to have a Pepe the Frog avatar? Apologies if I'm mistaken about that. If that was you that I'm remembering, why did you have a Pepe avatar and would it be reasonable to think that you were signaling allegiance to the racist alt-right?

That’s why I said last night that it will be really interesting to see his viewing habits online. Who did he watch and on what platforms, what got him to the point where he hated Kirk enough to plan to kill him, and who might’ve known. If he’s a gaming nerd like the bullets indicate, where was he hanging out and did he show some sort of pattern. I highly doubt he’s watching CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, or OANN. Given his age, he’s not consuming traditional media. I believe so far we don’t know anything about it as he had a very low digital profile.

It has been reported, and not contradicted, that it was a "Mauser" bolt action.  That would tend to mean a Mauser Gewehr 98, the standard issue German Nazi rifle of WWII, one of these:

Gewehr_98_noBG.jpg

Like it probably looks, that sonofabitch is nearly four feet long and chambered for an obsolete and nigh-impossible to find cartridge.  So it probably wasn't one of those.

BUT, after the war, the "actions," the bolt, receiver and magazine, were often rebarrelled (you almost literally unscrew the barrel and fit another one) into standard cartridges like .30-06 etc. and restocked into more conventional hunting rifles.

Those are not terribly uncommon and, if well done, prized by collectors and shooters alike.  The Mauser 98 "action" is the design foundation of the modern bolt action rifle.  In one sense, you could argue that just about any bolt-action rifle he used was a "Mauser action," but that's not the way that would be reported by LE or journalists today.

But, are pretty uncommon in the hands of 20-somethings unless inherited or possibly purchased at a gun show.  It's not something you can pick up at Academy, or Dick's or Scheels or whatever the fuck they have in Utah.

So, yeah, it's pretty highly likely "Dad's gun," or one that Dad had a significant hand in acquiring for ol Tyler.

What if, and hear me out, he was a nut with a gun?

I can give credence to the right leaning aspects of some of those gamer groups and the memes etc that were referenced by the accused, but as it's been pointed out before, he wasn't doing well regardless. I think it was @Hagbard Celine who had pointed out some issues/reasons with this seemingly stellar student landing at  a university (Utah State I think?) for a semester and then leaving. Nothing wrong with that, it's a good enough land grant uni and I don't know if some of his award monies were transferable to wherever he wanted, but it's not crazy expensive...and though it was away from home and an adjustment, he wouldn't have been the first underclassperson to struggle the first semester. But someone who is already a computer friendly teen can easily chose to retreat into that world when faced with the unfamiliar and uncertain situations that the new-to-college environment presents. College is hard. It's supposed to be, but for whatever reason--and we don't know that reason I don't think--, he left.

How did he handle that? How did his family handle that? We don't know. All we know is that he eventually enrolled in a tech program and was making progress towards certification. Good for him. But somewhere along the way: HS, college, post college; he was interacting with something or someone(s) that made him think (longer than just a brief fantasy moment) that this action (he took) was something he should do. So he (with intent) did it. Various national pundits have weighed in based on just what we've been told or shown, but as of now--I think your call--just a mixed up young man with a gun is all we can say. For all we know that is all it is and all it ever was. Men are every bit emotional humans as females and *anger is an emotion and not always logical. He must have been pretty angry.

I am NOT excusing his actions; I do know that we, the people, used to fund others that would examine events like this in minute detail not to score points but to understand and perhaps prevent (note: besides the access to guns) by studying various aspects of the situation. Those days are gone I guess.

*my constant rebuttal to the jerks who keep wanting to say women are too emotional to vote or drive or lead.

Edited by Mrs Whiggins
Not trying to paint his choice of uni as a bad one, but there are relevant points in regard to attendance at certain schools in the state of Utah due to the demographic make-up with respect to religion etc
