I was just informed by my daughter that my niece will be in Austin with her fake army boyfriend as they “march” around the stadium because they have no tickets.

Hell Slocum should be tossing up Hook'em along with every other big ass buyout A&M head coach.  You see, keeping up with the Jones' can get expensive. Especially when you are dumb as dirt negotiating head football coach contracts!

I re-watched last years game last night.  Damn I forgot we had a punt blacked.  We had a pick 6 and another fumble inside aggy 10 and still shut them out offensively.   We should have blown them out.

Question about the aggy corps band, since I really haven't been paying attention the past decade and it's been a long time since they've played in Austin:

Do they still do the same halftime routine -- same tune and same marching formation?

Y’all remember back in 1998 we had that awesome Running Black go off against the Aggies.
I can still hear Brent on the call!!!

There’s a reason Aggie jokes exist.

You know how Texas ended up with 2/3 of the PUF fund and Texas A&M ended up with 1/3?  Aggies got to pick first.

Never knew aggy were into fucking kids, thought that was reserved for small livestock. Never even heard of aggy clergy...

Kids are small livestock. Some Aggies prefer little goats to little sheep.

So glad we watered the field for that game.

Not only did we water the field, but we only watered it where aggy stepped and not us. Genius.

Does anyone know if this was Lance Z doing RC, or someone else?

The Texas personnel department continued its recent run of pledges yesterday evening by adding Georgetown offensive lineman Kaden Scherer to the fold.

Scherer is part of a recent trend for the Horns. Texas, late in the process, is focusing on a mix of players, who seem to have high upside traits but may not be ranked as highly among the recruiting media industry. That’s the case not only with Scherer, but also with Portage, Mich., tight end Charlie Jilek, Carlsbad, Calif., linebacker Rocky Cummings, and speedy defensive back Josiah Vilmael of Fort Bend.

Then there are the proverbial blue chippers, too. Baylor defensive line pledge Jamarrion Carlton is among them. Carlton has visited Texas twice in the last month, including for the Arkansas game.

Two LSU commitments, offensive lineman Brysten Martinez and defensive lineman Richard Anderson, are also included in that group.

Add it all together, and it’s clear that Texas is attempting to not just put together a single recruiting class filled with ultra blue chips, but a group they can foresee as sustainable long term.

It’s a really good mix IMO because they’re not foregoing the upside, athleticism or size component needed for success in SEC-level players.

**

I listened to the press conferences yesterday of both Steve Sarkisian and Mike Elko.

While each of them may have said they were taking this season one game at a time up until this week, it’s rather obvious that both have had this contest circled for a while.

For Texas, it’s a chance at redemption for this season and proving the Horns remain the top dog in the state. For A&M, it’s a chance at school history.

Both quarterbacks are the focal points of the offense. Friday night should be a blockbuster.

I’ll take the Longhorns.

Based on how obvious it was that Lance was Mack on a mobile I don't think he could pull off that good of an RC.

The ones after losses were the best.  "He threw 70 and 10 were incomplete, I feel like the wrecking crew did a good job."  And any mention of the gulf coast offense.
