My gf’s parents are both retired Navy captains and hate Trump worse than I do.

My kid's a 10 year infantry soldier with two combat tours.  He hates Trump's guts, and he's generally conservative (mostly because he's a fuckiing gun nut).

I don't know exactly why yet, but I think that's a bad thing.  Somebody is going to successfully argue that anything after that new deadline won't count.  And they'll marry all the mail received votes together while the SCOTUS rules.  And then they'll claim that they can't discern what was going to be originally counted and what snuck in under this new rule...so to be fair...they'll have to shitcan all the votes received that way.  This "abundance of caution" card is gonna get played a lot in the coming weeks.

There is nothing to celebrate until Inauguration Day and/or Trump's Death.

Depends on if there anything good on TV that night.

I just check my history and there was a scenario when one candidate got over 50% but lost the EC.  The result was the great compromise of 1877:

The Compromise of 1877 was an unwritten deal, informally arranged among U.S. Congressmen, that settled the intensely disputed 1876 presidential election. It resulted in the United States federal government pulling the last troops out of the South, and formally ending the Reconstruction Era.

Wikipedia details:

The compromise essentially stated that Southern Democrats would acknowledge Hayes as president, but only on the understanding that Republicans would meet certain demands. The following elements are generally said to be the points of the compromise:[3]

  1. The removal of all remaining U.S. military forces from the former Confederate states.[4] At the time, U.S. troops remained only in Louisiana, South Carolina, and Florida, but the Compromise completed their withdrawal from the region.
  2. The appointment of at least one Southern Democrat to Hayes' cabinet. (David M. Key of Tennessee was appointed as Postmaster General.)
  3. The construction of another transcontinental railroad using the Texas and Pacific in the South (this had been part of the "Scott Plan", proposed by Thomas A. Scott of the Pennsylvania Railroad; he had initiated negotiations resulting in the final compromise).
  4. Legislation to help industrialize the South and restore its economy following Reconstruction and the Civil War.
  5. The right to deal with blacks without northern interference.

In exchange, Democrats would accept Republican Hayes as president by not employing the filibuster during the joint session of Congress needed to confirm the election.[5][6]

The abundance of caution will be applied to not invalidate good votes, not the other way around.

This BS is gonna be close - or we need to proceed as if that's the case.  There's a LOT of assholes who have buried their head in the sand on all the bullshit going on and will pull the all R lever guilt free.  Can't relax now.  I'm confident but not overly so.  It's not so much convincing people, but getting people to the booth.  I know there's been a shitload of early voting but what Biden supporters get out between now and Tuesday night will settle it imo.  Don't sit back and chill now.  LFG

Holy shit that is a really fucking dumb analysis. Here’s the executive summary for those of you who want to save a little time:

Why do we believe Trump is winning despite polls showing the opposite? First, it is possible for data to be wrong. Second, sometimes polls are wrong. Third, there are not quite as many more Democrats compared to Republicans in Pennsylvania as there were last month. Ergo, Trump is winning. QED.

Agree. Have to assume FL, Ohio, Iowa and Texas go for Dotard, and PN vote is delayed. That puts all the pressure on Wisconsin, Arizona and one of NC/GA.

Tucker had all the documents that would destroy Hunter and take him down. But they vanished. This is a storyline in a bad tv drama

No copies huh?  That's a shame.  Must have been great.  Top notch stuff.

I cannot keep up with this anymore, it’s gotten so Fonzi but I’ll give it a shot.

So, the President’s personal lawyer flies overseas and spends several months hanging out with two Ukrainians who are currently being charged with campaign finance violations and the oligarch fighting extradition to the US who is being represented by a pair of married lawyers who used to work at Giuliani’s law firm. In addition, an official who was ousted for not prosecuting corruption but is anxious to regain a position so as to profit from Ukrainian energy contracts through corruption is in contact with the President’s personal lawyer and not any official American foreign service officers thus possibly  rendering Rudy a unregistered foreign official.
So far so good.

Meanwhile the Ambassador to Ukraine learns she’s going to go through some things and has to flee Ukraine and later is deposed after being subpoenaed to appear before the HPSCI.

With her out of the way, the  Secretary of the DOE gets the contract signed for an advantageous energy contract for an American company in Ukraine, steps down, and goes dark. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian American associates for the President’s personal lawyer are arrested and are left in baggage claim by the President who claims not to know them.

Jet setting Rudy is joined separately on his world tour by AG Barr and Big Mike Pompeo who circle the globe getting up to who knows what but everything dies down as Impeachment and then the Plague happen.

Then a blind man who cannot visually confirm a customer claims that the son of a presidential candidate and former VP happens to leave a laptop in his business and then forgets about it? And the computer guy decides to call the President’s personal lawyer instead of the customer? And the documents are all screenshots stamped:

HUNTER BIDEN’S TOP SECRET KOMPROMAT DOCUMENTS AND PORN

and now Tucker Carlson, the frozen food heir lost them in the mail?

You know, I’m really upset with Vladimir, this is not their best work. It’s actually pretty insulting.

When HBO makes a series out of this it's going to be great.
