That’s a grown ass man. That’s the kind that wins championships. We cookin with grease now boys.

I owe you a few drinks if I ever meet you. I turned my grill on to burn off the glaze of tonights dinner and forgot to set a timer. The temperature was at 650 and I would have burned through a new tank of propane if I hadn't read your "cookin with grease line".

Surly isn't the only NIL avenue for some of us, but kudos to you if giving $10 a month finally puts you on top of a soapbox to feel richer than others. Doesn't make your initial post anymore idiotic and Aggie sounding. And there are plenty of Longhorns with agtags on Texags, donating to burnt ends doesn't prove your aren't an Aggie because you definitely sounded like one. Add who gives a fuck about stars and rankings, watching the tape on some of these guys would tell you they are "war daddies". Bet you didn't think Byron Murphy was a war daddy based on his rankings either.

I'm trying to understand here. Are you saying that you give so much towards other mythical NIL initiatives, that you either cant afford or shouldnt be expected to give to Surly's pioneering program? And that we are supposed to just believe that you are some super cool NIL dude somewhere else, but you choose to spend enough time here to not just post but talk shit to people?

Here's a good option: Stop talking silly shit and enjoy the free features of the board.

Here's the best option: Quit embarrassing yourself as a broke ass dildo and join burnt ends and talk tons of shit to assholes like me.

as a non-burnt ends guy who LOVES burnt ends, NIL is new and some of us are trying to tread lightly

It's probably overcautious and probably pointless worrying, but a smart Longhorn lawyer told me to stick to one for now and I'm going with that.

endless love to my Burnt Ends, though, hell yes. Heroes & Kings

(Nikki Chavanelle) Coach's Take: What Texas is getting in four-star commit Justice Finkley

Quote

Justice Finkley, Trussville (Ala.) Hewitt-Trussville 2022 four-star edge, committed to the Texas Longhorns over Alabama and Colorado on Thursday night. On3 caught up with Hewitt-Trussville High School head football coach Josh Floyd to get the inside scoop on what Texas is getting in the 6-foot-2, 255-pound defensive lineman. Floyd has coached at H.T. for five seasons and has known Finkley since middle school.

Justice Finkley Scouting Report

From 30 offers down to the one, how do you feel Justice’s recruiting process went?

Floyd: “I think his recruitment went really well. He’s a great kid, first of all, that works extremely hard. Very, very committed. He’s gone and visited as many places as he could. I think he’s making a well-informed decision. Everybody loves him when they talk to him, he does great in the classroom. He talks about wanting to be a neurosurgeon one day, coaches don’t recruit guys like that every day.”

What did you first think when you saw Finkley?

Floyd: “We’ve known he was going to be special since he was in middle school. He’s always been a big, strong, athletic kid. Nothing surprises us ever from him. It’s his third year in a row to start for us and he even contributed at multiple positions as a freshman.”

What separates Finkley and what are his biggest strengths?

Floyd: “His desire to be great. He wants to be the best he can be and he literally does stuff every single day to perfect his craft. He’s so explosive off the ball. He’s a guy that can play a lot of different spots on the defensive line because he’s so athletic. Super physical and he has a high motor. We struggle to block him in practice every day.”

Could you see Finkley adding enough weight on his frame to be an interior lineman?

Floyd: “I think it just depends on what they want to do with him. He could play on the interior if he needed to. He just gets off the ball so quickly so I think he could be a weapon inside, but he can be a really effective pass rusher on the edge. Justice loves to rush the passer and hit the QB. He does a lot of different stuff, I don’t know if he’s got one move better than the others.”

What have you seen from his leadership ability?

Floyd: “He’s a lead-by-example guy. The kids know he’s going to bring 100% every day at practice. If anything, he’s a guy you have to slow down. He’ll step up and say something if he needs to but his style is more of just coming to work every day and getting the job done. He’s a smart player and he can help players get where they need to be.”

How does Justice handle adversity?

Floyd: “He’s the kind of person who believes he can overcome anything. I think that makes him special. Even if we start off slow in a game, he’s the kind of guy that doesn’t think anyone can beat him. He always finishes hard and strong.”

What could Finkley work on to get ready for D-I ball?

Floyd: “Just continuing to find different ways to get better, whether that’s technique related or those types of things. I think he’ll be ready physically for the next level, probably more so than others. He’s super strong in the weight room (330 clean, 535 squat, 375 bench, 31-inch vertical).”

Dude. Come on. If a lawyer has told you its not "safe" to join burnt ends on surly horns for any reason, you should invite him on a trip to hawaii for being such a good lawyer, take a helicopter tour, and then push him out into an active volcano for being so mind numbingly stupid and bad at his job.

Bledsoe isn’t enrolling early. That’s actually hilarious.

@Barbacoa being mocked on here is retarded, specifically about his ability regarding helping in recruiting or NIL.

I'm pretty sure we were mocking him for calling people poor, but i use food stamps to buy dildos, so what do I know.

probably a good idea to do that regardless of his skill

When have you ever seen a recruit do anything other than blatantly misdirect on Twitter right before an announcement?

Those are useless. They just put PK because he’s the position coach for edge rushers.

Glad to be wrong on this one. Bad read.

I thought there was some frustration coming from his side when there were a lot of picks coming in for Texas.

Should be noted it's a possibility we may lose one of the DL from the 21' class.  Jordon Thomas is currently not with the team or in school, so who knows if he'll even return.

Knew he wasn’t with the team - didn’t realize he wasn’t in school. That seems like not a good sign.
