There is a BBQ place where I live where everyone stands up at noon and they play the Star Spangled Banner. One of the workers asked me if I would like to join and I said no thanks and that forced patriotism isn’t my thing. I was the only person sitting down eating and I really didn’t care. It felt like I was in North Korea. I’ve always had a problem with businesses profiting off of patriotic shit.

You didn’t care, or it felt like North Korea?  Kind of sounds like same level of annoyance as the happy birthday song to me.

Intel's newish CEO is a Malaysian-American, so not Chinese.

He was CEO of Cadence when they got busted for selling chip design software to Chinese entities in violation of export restrictions.

He's also a VC/hedgie that has invested in Chinese companies.

So, hard to tell if a quasi-legitimate rant or not.  A bit more rational than a lot of them.
