Fucking RFK

Yea, but that covers 2.5% of the annual increase to the ICE budget. You really think mRNA vaccines help people 1/40th as much as those heroes in masks?

It is a true testament to the craziness of this timeline that I, a news junkie, did not find out about POTUS standing on the roof of the White House until reading this thread a few minutes ago.

Mission BBQ. The first time I was in one at Noon I was like what in the fuck is happening.

In SW Virginia.  Been twice.  First time I had no idea what to expect in any aspect of the experience, food had not been delivered.  I stood up at the noon thing not knowing wtf was happening.  Afterward thought "that was weird".  Sat down, then ate shitty bbq.

Went back one more time when someone else suggested it, thankfully NOT at noon.  Tried to eat absolutely shitty bbq again.

Both were quite a bit ago now.  Even though I know people (that I think are decent) that are associated with that place, fuck Mission BBQ.  Do better.

The end.

I'll be driving out to Palm Springs tomorrow (where it's fucking hot) and I'm really worried about getting windmill cancer along the 10 before I get there.

The co-opting of "patriotism" by the MAGATS is so infuriating.  They claim to be patriots, yet have no problem with the CIC completely throwing the Constitution, which he is sworn to uphold, in the shitter.  They are the opposite of Patriots.

This pisses me off to no end. Fuck you assholes. You don't own this country.

There is a BBQ place where I live where everyone stands up at noon and they play the Star Spangled Banner. One of the workers asked me if I would like to join and I said no thanks and that forced patriotism isn’t my thing. I was the only person sitting down eating and I really didn’t care. It felt like I was in North Korea. I’ve always had a problem with businesses profiting off of patriotic shit.

You didn’t care, or it felt like North Korea?  Kind of sounds like same level of annoyance as the happy birthday song to me.

Intel's newish CEO is a Malaysian-American, so not Chinese.

He was CEO of Cadence when they got busted for selling chip design software to Chinese entities in violation of export restrictions.

He's also a VC/hedgie that has invested in Chinese companies.

So, hard to tell if a quasi-legitimate rant or not.  A bit more rational than a lot of them.

Any bet on how “illegals” will be counted depending on whether they’re in Cali or Texas?

Stupid enough that an Indian dude living in Canada can create an AI bot to manipulate them.

https://vancouversun.com/news/ottawa-man-ai-bot-maga

Singh’s accounts are part of an army of AI bots that have created an information ecosystem in support of Trump and the Republican Party on X. In the lead-up to last year’s presidential election, researchers at Clemson University identified a network of more than 680 AI-generated bot accounts on X that were pushing Trump’s agenda.

Singh, who moved to Ottawa in 2019 from Minnesota, claims he is not a propagandist, but a “technologist” who wants to show how AI can be leveraged for public relations. He said he would be open to working for campaigns across the political spectrum.

He added that he “does not discriminate” and that “the technology can help anyone.” But his known accounts have targeted progressive politicians and sought to aid conservative ones so far.
