Looks like a fuckin' Participation Medal awards ceremony at a Special Olympics.

Except actual participants are generally kind by nature and good human beings.

Well, Napoleon found the crown in the gutter. Trump is dragging his down to the gutter.

Great timing for the boomers.

Okay. I laughed.

But, you know, evil.

Also, I expect turnip’s decree has no legal weight, as I imagine that a law establishes the requirement for 24/7 nurse presence at a nursing home. And the companies that operate those homes make money. Lawyers will make money. But, the elderly will suffer.

So the olds who voted for this are getting their lives shortened?  Tough shit.  I'm fully on board the pain train being needed now.  Once we get to DeNazification let me know.

I'll be asking the questions in today's Inquisition, thank you.

Never went full Norse, but when I was fencing, Mrs. Canecutter would buy a bottle of mead that could only be opened if I medalled in a tournament. Thirsty? Best get to stabbin'.

If you all are not raising your kids to have a healthy respect/fear of the Norse Gods, you’re doing it wrong.

Although it can be awkward when you are having a meal at the local Presbyterian or Baptist church and your kids bust our with a prayer to Ægir (host of the feasts for the Gods), Andhrímnir (Chef of the Gods) and especially Sæhrímnir & Heiðrún (food and drinks for the Gods). Trying to explain it to the Christians there is threading a needle as the Christian kids are really interested, but the adults won’t invite you back. Some of the adults do think it’s funny and don’t believe your family until your kids produce a goat’s head as a symbolic offering.  You have to be really vague when asked where they got it from.

I can only imagine who or what @RDCanecutter taps into for his meal prayers/sacrifices.

I hear sacrificial nutrias are involved.

For me, the worst thing about Trump is not Trump himself.

It's that he's exposed people I loved, respected, etc. (relatives, friends, friends' parents, co-workers) as being pieces of shit. A lot of people kept a lot of awful thoughts and opinions buried because of polite society, and they fooled a lot of us until Trump came along and told them it was okay to be prejudiced and ignorant.

100%.  I wouldn’t give a runny fuck about Trump and would just be waiting him out if it weren’t for the fact that 75% of the people I know and love voted for him and 50%+ actively support him.  It really really sucks to find out such a high percentage of people you care about are either retarded or evil or both.

There used to be a website that you could click a quote and it would play it out loud. I used to call my gf at the time and just have conversations purely by clicking those quotes. She loved it. It got me laid. So props to you Ladies Man.

‘Let's call Trump's anti-Somali hate for what it is’

It is so racist it is almost surreal. On a "holy shit what is your problem?" kind of surrealness.

But this is the same guy who got up there and did a blood libel on Haitians for some bizarre reason and everybody went along with it.

It can always get worse and there is no bottom.

Cool to see Micron take billions of taxpayer dollars and give to Trump pet projects only to end their consumer side with Crucial shutting down. A real country would care.

Where does that $12B come from?  Does Congress have to pass a bill to spend the money or is it already appropriated somewhere and he is shifting from one allocation to another?

That's the kind of question one might ask of a 17th century British monarchy.  Here in our modern democracy, the "power of the purse" has been assumed by our Dear Leader.

They are selectively enforcing laws as it is! They illegally paid the military with donations from a billionaire during the shutdown- they aren’t funding programs already budgeted and authorized by law. It’s good to ask the question but this admin is lawless and isn’t bound by constraints

Maggats have not yet figured out that if the Supreme Court overturn most of the tariffs, and despite Trump saying they will just redo the tariffs with different statutory authority, that does NOT mean that they won’t have to return all of the tariffs previously collected that are illegal.

Which will allow the Democrats to say that Trump invoked tariffs that resulted in killing farmers profitability, raising prices for everyone in order to pay for billionaire tax cuts, and after collecting tariff sums Trump bragged about, we had to return it, resulting in even more deficits, all caused by Trump’s desire to take care of his billionaire friends more than care about the every day, man and woman.

Buddy, that's already way too complicated for 80% of voters to understand.

I'm loving/hating the continuous GOP politician declaration that they know nothing about the Honduran drug dealing, ex-President pardon. Even when the facts are presented to them, they attack the media. They don't even pretend to defend Trump's action since it's indefensible.

This is entirely true.  That was not the exact message.

“Trump screwed up the tariff thing and screwed farmers - and now he’s taking your tax money and giving it to those farmers - even though most of them are millionaire corporations“

By the end of first quarter 2026, prices will skyrocket way more than now, and the “Trump caused prices to go up when he screwed up tariffs” will be more readily appreciated in the second messaging
